We've been regular customers of Carla's for the past two years, so writing this review is disappointing. We know every restaurant has an off night. That's not why we're leaving this review. Our order was nowhere near the quality we've come to expect. The fries were ice cold and so greasy that the container was soaked through and falling apart. The fried chicken sandwich was also cold, and the bun was so saturated with grease and mayo that it fell apart when I picked it up. Instead of immediately leaving a negative review, we called the restaurant because we wanted to give them the chance to make it right. The manager asked us to text photos, which we did. Rather than acknowledging the issue or apologizing, he spent the conversation defending the food and arguing about whether what we were seeing was grease or water. The food was disappointing. The response was worse. When a loyal customer tells you something isn't right, the goal shouldn't be to prove them wrong. It should be to listen, apologize, and make it right. That's how you keep customers coming back. We've always enjoyed Carla's, which makes this even more frustrating. Unfortunately, this experience has cost them two longtime customers. There are plenty of great sandwich and burger spots nearby, and after tonight, we'll be going elsewhere. read more

RANCHEROS STYLE BOWL 7/10: I got the rancheros style burrito but in bowl and it was $16.42 including tax and it was quite good! The eggs were nice and fluffy, the beans had a good flavor to them, and the ranchera sauce was amazing. There were, however, a few downsides that make this a bit overpriced for me--personally. I would have like to have seen more ranchera sauce in ratio to the eggs. If anything, I probably gobbled the sauce in 2 bites and was left with most of the bowl ranchera-sauceless. I also think it would be nice if they gave an option to have a single tostada in place of the four tortilla if we opt in for the bowl option. It would give the dish a nice crunch component and would be perfect for people who don't want too much tortilla! MATCHA LATTE 9/10: The matcha latte was really good! I got it sweetened lightly with brown sugar and it was amazinggg. It had a subtle sweetness to it and the matcha flavor was prominent, bold, and smooth. I definitely suggest getting the matcha here! 3.5 Stars I bought the sandwich from Uber eats so I can't comment on the service or ambience for this one. The sandwich I got is called the tuna chop. It's one of their most famous sandwiches. I love tuna sandwiches so I decided to try it out. The sandwich features a generous portion of house-made tuna salad, complemented by avocado, chopped salad lettuce, tomato, red onion, cucumber, garbanzo beans, pepperoncini, jalapeño, red wine vinaigrette, yellow mustard, and garlic-basil aioli, all served on a toasted ciabatta roll. The bread was soft and crispy. I enjoyed the bread. While the sandwich filling had its sour, tangy and spicy moments which were nice, and it did taste very fresh, I was hoping that the flavors would come together stronger. For drinks I ordered the banana cream matcha. It was on the milkier side but it was still delicious, creamy, and had good banana and cinnamon flavor. However, I wish the matcha flavor was stronger. Yummy! Placing an order was super easy. I went online punched in my order and the time I wanted to pick up and it was ready when I arrived. I ordered the chicken Caesar wrap, and it was hefty! Carla is so good! You definitely need to try their tuna chop sandwich- I crave it all the time and it's executed perfectly. We also came here once for burger night- burgers are solid, fries are great, Caesar salad is to die for! I also loved the milk and cookies at the end. My co-worker loves the sandwiches from here, especially the ciabatta bread that they are made with. She was ordering lunch and asked if I wanted anything. The Chopped Salad sounded good, so I requested it. The salad consisted of chopped romaine, iceberg, tomatoes, cucumber, red onions, garbanzo beans, topped with sliced avocado and sliced pepperoncini. It was so yummy I didn't notice that she forgot to give me the dressing until she finished her sandwich and realized it was still in the bag. LOL! No biggie because it really didn't need it. Carla's cafe is very cute and super delicious! They were nice to make me a latte version of the banana cream and it was amazing! I loved the Caesar wrap- there were just some really big chunks of croutons and only in one side of the wrap- the other half didn't seem to have any croutons. That was my only complaint though- the chicken was perfect, the dressing was amazing and I loved how everything was nice and chopped! My friend really enjoyed her tuna chop and thought the salad mix on it was unique and flavorful. First time trying the new location in Century City. I ordered a Caesar salad with chicken and avocado. I probably won't return based on the poor food quality. I paid $25 with tax but it's closer to a $10 dollar salad. The amount of chicken was low and chopped up inside the salad I assume to hide it. The dressing was minimal at best. The cafe had cute and aesthetically pleasing decor. The bathroom was a little messy but they were busy and I saw their staff wiping tables so I can't fault for that. Carla cafe. What can i say. They turn out some of the best food around town! I been to both locations at the colony and 3rd street by the beverly center. The 3rd street location is clean and the crew here is very nice! I got the KBBQ burrito which was good. A must try is the french toast sticks with vanilla sauce which was delicious. The tuna chop sandwich is probably the best tuna i ever had and has a nice hot kick to it due to the jalapenos on it. You can't leave without getting one of the signature drinks! I always get the matcha cream cap with cinnamon on top, just the best! They are open from 7am to 4pm so they close early at both locations. Breakfast is ONLY available at the 3rd street location so know this. It can be a bit pricy has the KBBQ burrito was $22 bucks and matcha was $11.50 so breakfast for just me came close to $50 bucks.. My obsession with Carla Café runs deep! I highly anticipated their opening and they did not disappoint. Their Matcha is one of the best in the city, the banana cream top equally delicious to their original! The tuna chop is a must, their garlic chicken sandwich on ciabatta almost even better!
