Super cute little cafe on Melrose in LA. Went here during the Stranger Things cycling event thing. I would say this place is more of a healthy place and chill. Server was super friendly. Food was fresh and delicious

OMG ! The breakfast sandwich is a must! Chipotle aioli, bacon, lettuce, cheese, and avocado? Whewwww!!! It was also served with a side of potatoes. Everything was seasoned well and served pretty hot for a to go order! Highly recommend this sandwich if you're in the area! Even if you're not, UBER EATS the meal! 5/5

Ginger shot -- it'll make you breathe like a dragon.

This was our first time visiting Blu Jam Cafe. The owner-chef was in the restaurant and was incredibly friendly. In terms of service, be ready to order through a QR code menu or the front register, which does ask for a tip at time of order. You can leave a tip at the register after the fact, too. The service was very fast, and always helpful. The food was very filling. The chef/owner said they cook everything fresh. The food was high quality, especially for the price! The bathrooms were clean, and appropriately stocked. There are also pieces of art for sale throughout the restaurant - which was a nice addition.

Blu Jam Café is the perfect place for a ladies brunch, a catch up meeting, a casual yet delicious café where it feels safe and down to earth and you are surrounded by lovely people! I went to Blu Jam for a meeting with my girls and loved every bit of this experience. I'd been to the one in Studio City but it's always packed so there's usually a wait. I guess people around Melrose don't wake up as early so we had a fabulous table and the always great service at our disposal. We ordered the best things on the menu and omg, they did not disappoint. The soup was spectacular and my eggs. We're cooked to perfection. It was a lot of food so we ended up with doggie bags to enjoy later. Loved being there enjoying such great tasting brunch. Yum! We will definitively be back soon!

Great breakfast and Brunch Spot with so many options. A lot of options for vegans and vegetarians as well as a lot of Mexican inspired unique breakfast dishes. Staff was super friendly and helpful. You do not get a waiter everything is either ordered at the front when you walk in or at your table online through a QR code. Food is cooked with a lot of butter. I got the blt and the bread was coated in butter as well as the side potatoes were great but very buttery. I would order the BLT again no buttered bread. The rest aunt was great lots of area to sit indoor and outdoor. We went on a Saturday at 10am and did not need to make a reservation and lots of street parking options. I also got the iced pumpkin spice latte which was great but very milk heavy and the ginger shot was Absolutely amazing! I would have one every morning if I could.

Comedy Goddess and newly hitched, Alyssa Poteet loved this (I can't remember what it was).

The lines around Blu Jam are not crazy now- except for Sunday Brunch. So I assumed the food has lost its edge But a friend who has been travelling world really wanted to go so we went. I have to say the food was excellent. Really fresh, made with love and great portions if you're hungry. To be this good takes a little while to cook to order, not just microwave. They gave us a wonderful amuse-bouche to share whilst we waited for food we actually ordered and had to pay for...A small pancake with jam (which is delicious and fruity and I'm a jam snob). And a creamy dip. I look forward to going back again soon, if anyone wants to take me!

Blue Jam was cool! Lots of items to choose from on the menu. When we arrived, we were told to sit anywhere given water once we sat. Our waiter informed us to order at the counter when we were ready and we did. The breakfast scrambles were good but could have used a little more seasoning. My crew really enjoyed the French toast. As we sat, we happened to get complimentary strawberry crepes, which were delicious and great way to make your customers smile. This restaurant definitely gives you a lot of food and we were all full and happy. The ambiance is a chill vibe with no frills, so if you like breakfast and a chill spot with delicious coffee and tea, this is the spot for you.

Not sure how I feel about this. The food is decent. It's consistent. Definitely not as great as it used to be. The whole process has changed now your seated you order from your table via their app or website or you walk up to the counter and order there. They have turned completely cashless, which I absolutely hate but they will take cash for tips lol Ambiance is pretty basic. They've definitely lost the magic touch.

Blu Jam has a fast-paced vibe and generous portion sizes. I had the Morning Hash and the French Toast--both were delicious and really well done. I also tried a Mexican lager that paired perfectly with the meal. Great food, good portions, and definitely worth the visit.

    Blu Jam on Melrose!

Blu Jam has fabulous food, great service and the servers are friendly and do a great job! I love when they ask. "Do you need another pot of pressed coffee?" Wonderful! I park on a side street. We have 2 hours to eat and NO Meter to feed! You can't go wrong! Give Blue Jam on Melrose a try! You won't be sorry!

Breakfast Burrito & Blu Jam Benedict

I tried Blue Jam Café for the first time in West Hollywood and it did not disappoint. We had the Blue Jam Benedict and the Breakfast Burrito with their $5 White Wine Sangrias on Sunday. The service was pretty quick and easy. We were seated immediately, scanned the table for the menu, ordered and paid via the website, and the food was delivered. There was no formal check process or anything. We set on the patio which was also nice. I'm always looking for breakfast or bunch places to add to my list and Blue Jam will definitely be added to my list of recommendations. I plan to return soon!

I got the caprese, which was the fan favorite. The monaco (tuna sandwich), which was spicy and tasty. I also got the fiorelli which didn't seem like as much of a crowd pleaser but was still decent. I preferred my sandwich because I loved the crunch from the pistachios and the sweetness that came from the jam. It was a good size - I only ate about half and saved the rest for later. I originally thought that the amount of guanciale was lacking but it was still an overall well balanced sandwich so I didn't mind while eating. I enjoyed the mushrooms that came in the Colucci but wanted more of the eggplant flavor to come through. For both, I could tell the quality of the ingredients itself and the freshness of the bread - which is KEY! I also got a nutella canelé (which I've never tried) and that was the perfect sweet treat to end off my meal. DEF RECOMMEND! Before you even come in, you can smell the focaccia baking. I came here on a Saturday around 11am and there was no line - it took about 10 minutes to get my sandwiches and there was ample seating inside and out. Street parking was fine - metered and non metered spots all around. Would come again if i'm in the area!!

The restaurant is billed as French-Vietnamese and previously offered pho and related fare but did not have these options on our visit. Our family came on a Saturday evening after an afternoon in the mall. We also got the French lobster roll ($26) a decent, but not groundbreaking, sandwich with a spicy sauce. One of our children got the tomato soup ($10) which was phenomenal - creamy and tomatoey - and paired well with grilled cheese. FOOD Bubble Waffle with Pistachio Gelato (5.5/5): Omg! I didn't know they have egg waffle here as well. It's a classic Hong Kong street food that I grew up with, you don't really see it around. The egg waffle is tasty, it doesn't taste bland and not overly seasoned (it has the egg custard-y taste, not too sweet), and it has a light crisp outside. I had a gelato to pair with it. The pistachio flavor is yummy, it has chopped pistachio nuts inside so the texture is rich. If you have a sweet tooth, pair it with a scoop of gelato, they compliment each other well. *finish the gelato first so it doesn't make the egg waffle loose it's crisp Pastrami Brisket Sandwich (5/5): They recommended me the Pastrami Brisket Sandwich and the prosciutto one, I haven't had lunch so I went with the pastrami- it was good. The bread is pretty soft and it's decently portioned, you could share the sandwich. It's a simple sandwich that's healthy and flavourful, you don't feel heavy after eating it. I like that it's not messy to eat (not overly saucey)! They hold the fillings with the little wooden sticks.
