Which is great because some jeans cost about $70 in here. They do not carry the super expensive name brands, but have higher priced clothes than most other stores in this farming town. The music was played loud and had upbeat tunes on it. The staff was friendly and helpful as needed, and they seemed to take care of all the shoppers needs in a timely manner. Great place for a young woman to buy some clothes, look casual and hip, but not look like a teenager. With the sales going on and several clearance racks your pocket book won't be hit too hard for an entire new outfit. This is not a huge mall store, but they carry a decent variety of styles and sizes to fit most women.

This particular location, however, is significantly smaller than any other Maurice's store I've visited in the last 20 years, and the assistant manager that I dealt with while there recently was exceedingly condescending. The store was dead/empty in the middle of a weekday, but it was a horrible inconvenience to her to process a return for me, and then she did it incorrectly, claimed I was wrong when I questioned it, and when she finally admitted she was wrong and corrected her error, it was with a major attitude. I kept quiet the whole time to avoid irritating her further. Definitely take the time to drive to a classier town if at all possible - any other location would have a better selection anyway!

For Thanksgiving weekend they were running a 50% off storewide sale, and for every $50 you spent you got $25 Real Woman Dollars, which basically work like 50% off coupons. So in other words I scored $400 worth of clothes for $200 and I got coupons to get an additional $100 off a $200 purchase at a later date. The great thing about the Real Women Dollars is that you can combine them with other coupons. I currently have a $40 rewards check, so when I combine that with my RWD I'll be able to get $200 worth of clothes for $60. That being said, I wait to shop here until they are running a good sale, which seems to happen two or three times a year. The clothing can be expensive, and while it's worth it IMO, I simply don't have room in my budget to pay full price. This particular store is located in Greenwood Park Mall. I find it easiest to park near Dick's and Sears and enter the mall through one of those stores. They typically have a good selection in the clearance area and I've gotten some really great deals on blazers. The accessories section isn't huge but they have cute, trendy jewelry and scarves. They've added a shoe section as well, which makes me INCREDIBLY happy. It's hard to find knee high boots that fit my shapely calves and every pair I tried on here fit and I wanted them ALL. It was hard to control myself. The staff here are incredibly helpful and know the clothing lines very well. They let me know which items tend to shrink or stretch. The bras and jeans here fit me so well. I think it's genius that a plus-size clothing store had the brains to realize that not all curvy girls are curvy in the same way. So there are three different fits to their line of Right Fit jeans, and they are color coded: red, blue, or yellow. I love mine, I don't get that awful gap in the back of my pants anymore. I'd say about 75% of my clothing is from LB and I doubt I've paid full-price for any of it. The selection is ever changing and varied enough that both I (in my early 30's) and my mother-in-law (in her late 50's) can find things here we like.

Today, I wasn't able to find the size I needed. I prefer underwire bras because they offer more support. I take a 46DD but the items ran small (another confusing consideration as this is geared toward plus sized gals like myself.) I required a 48DD. They do not carry them in store (in underwire), but online. This is nonsensical in my opinion; shouldn't a customer be able to try the product on? I was able to get a deal on some comfy, wire-free pieces but it was not what I originally wanted. I will shop here in the future but not for bras.

I walked in, and I get that he had customers (a trendy, older couple, who seemed to have some change in their collective pocket), but my initial issue was that he barely even acknowledged my presence, and when he did, his tone went from pleasant to seemingly annoyed (not an exaggeration). So, I'm looking around the store, and I see a couple of things I liked, and the store clerk is just fully engaged with the couple and they're having what sounds like a nice conversation. As this is going on, I move to the other part of the store, and in doing so I walked past the clerk who was posted behind the register. As I passed him, in a very different tone, "let me know if you need any help." I immediately thought to myself, "wtf is this guy's problem?" Brushing it off, I continued shopping. Once ready to check out, I approached the counter where the clerk was just chatting it up with this couple, who had all ready made their purchase, so i am kept waiting while this conversation concludes. After they finally left, I then laid my items on the counter and you could have heard a pin drop.. not a word from the clerk. And then when he finally does speak, he's got that same tone again. Now, I know that I did not come in this store, causing anything or doing anything that would merit being treated like that. I'm guessing he assumed I didn't have money or something. I don't know, I speculate, of course, as I have no idea what goes on in the minds of crazy people. Even after spending more than sixty dollars, I didn't even get a thank you, he dropped my receipt in the bag as though were a piece of trash. Sorry to be so long about this, but things like this really irritate me. Who knows what his problem is? You really never know what you're going to find in a small town you're making a quick stop in. If I…read morehave time to kill, I usually check my Yelp app to see what's worth checking out, and this consignment shop popped up. Its located right off of the town circle, and can't be missed if you know to look for the pink door. The sign outside displayed the sales of the day, and I just happened to be there on $1 day! I was immediately greeted by the store owner and told what color tags were on sale. I found a few pieces, and she promptly offered to start a fitting room for me. I then stumbled upon the $1 rack full of great stuff, and loaded up. The store was neatly arranged and easy to shop. There was a good collection of each sizes, including plus options. Prices were very reasonable, especially with the 25% and 50% off color coded tags. I made out with several new outfits, dresses, a jacket, several $1 suits, clothes for my daughter and a friend; a total of 3 packed bags for $85! At checkout owner explained that at the end of consignment the owner has a week to pick up their unsold items, and anything not picked up goes on the $1 rack with proceeds going to a local charity. It made me feel better walking out with so much knowing I was supporting a worthy cause. I forget what the timeline is for that $1 sale, check out their site for details. I do know that I happened to be there on the last day of the sale. Lucky me!
