Once you walk in the lemon colored front door, you will be amazed at the beautiful decor throughout the shop. From the lighting to the flooring and everything in between, this is first class! The front portion of the store is filled with all kinds of stylish fashions and accessories. They have a small section of cute clothes for kids. Most items are suited for young to middle age women (even though I'm considered a little above middle age, I still find plenty of things that are age appropriate). They have sizes that go up to 3X in all the beautiful styles. Anne certainly has an eye for fashion and they are always getting new selections. Their inventory turns quickly! I have found that everything is neatly pressed, tagged and hung on a black velvet hanger. With each purchase, your item will be wrapped in yellow tissue paper and tucked inside a nice shopping bag. Even their POS process is top notch when they use their IPad, you can either take the receipt with you, have it texted or e-mailed or both. There is a comfortable seating area in the back for someone who may be shopping with you to sit and relax or it's roomy enough for children to play on the floor. The dressing rooms are beautifully decorated and the whole place smells amazing. For you listening pleasure, they have some nice music playing in the background. This is a true stress reliever for me! The employees are very friendly and will let you look around, but are there if you need them. I had the pleasure of meeting two of Anne's daughters on my last visit and they were both knowledgeable & very pleasant to talk with. Make sure you check out all the jewelry that is placed around the store, there are some very unique pieces. If you are interested in the Lenny & Eva collection, they have several pieces of this. I have included several photos for you to get a better feel for what this classy boutique has to offer. If you ever need something to wear for a special event, I have no doubt that you can find something unique at Lemon Lane!

I don't mind stopping to support a good cause and today was a perfect day because everything was 30% off! There were a lot of cute clothes and the prices didn't seem too bad. It may just be me but when I see the word Boutique I automatically equate that to high prices. I ended up buying a cute leopard purse. They also had some bath salts, some lotion, and candles. They had a table that had some cute Christmas ornaments on it and also in the back they had small toys for children like wooden puzzles and wooden pull behinds. I also saw on their sign out front that they would soon have coffee. I will have to stop back by when they have a little more time under their belt and when they have coffee. Give it a look-see and see if you like it because I did.

You really never know what you're going to find in a small town you're making a quick stop in. If I…read morehave time to kill, I usually check my Yelp app to see what's worth checking out, and this consignment shop popped up. Its located right off of the town circle, and can't be missed if you know to look for the pink door. The sign outside displayed the sales of the day, and I just happened to be there on $1 day! I was immediately greeted by the store owner and told what color tags were on sale. I found a few pieces, and she promptly offered to start a fitting room for me. I then stumbled upon the $1 rack full of great stuff, and loaded up. The store was neatly arranged and easy to shop. There was a good collection of each sizes, including plus options. Prices were very reasonable, especially with the 25% and 50% off color coded tags. I made out with several new outfits, dresses, a jacket, several $1 suits, clothes for my daughter and a friend; a total of 3 packed bags for $85! At checkout owner explained that at the end of consignment the owner has a week to pick up their unsold items, and anything not picked up goes on the $1 rack with proceeds going to a local charity. It made me feel better walking out with so much knowing I was supporting a worthy cause. I forget what the timeline is for that $1 sale, check out their site for details. I do know that I happened to be there on the last day of the sale. Lucky me!

She was excited to tell me more when I asked at checked out too. I was the only customer in the store during my visit and I appreciate that she didn't stalk me or bother me while I was shopping. The store was originally located in Beech Grove for 8 years, but the owner is from Morristown and hated driving so far, so she eventually relocated it closer to her. I'm giving 3 stars because it's one of the most disorganized thrift stores I've been in. There is next to no organization. The racks are labeled with sizes, but I always found lots of other sizes mixed in. And clothing is not separated by category. There's 3-4 racks of each size spread all throughout the store and each rack has anything from swimsuits to dresses to jackets on it. When I was greeted, she said "it's a treasure hunt". It was definitely a hunt trying to sort through the mess. The lighting is dim, there were at least two larger rooms not being used for merchandise and a large section in the middle of the main room closed off housing misc appliances. They have one fitting room that is literally a closet with a mirror. I think they would do a lot better if they organized the items better. Most people don't like digging through stuff...even for $2 items. She also said they take donations, but they've only had 5 since being at this location. Check out their FB page for new items and promotions. I received a free jewelry item for checking in on FB and was entered for a raffle drawing too.
