Like most Vintage shops there isn't much the bigger woman but the clothing accessories are such a treat to look at and enjoy. I showed up today after a very long drive already in a mediocre mood. I went up to the front desk to ask about a Facebook Marketplace agreement I had made for a sofa set and the price, only to find out there had been some miscommunication. At first I honestly thought I might have been scammed, which instantly put me in a terrible mood. I definitely huffed around and complained about how far I had driven while trying to sort it out. Long story short...the Facebook Marketplace dealer was not a scam at all. We had simply misunderstood which pieces we were talking about. Fast forward to the end of the visit: three employees (two gentlemen and a woman / I'm sad I didn't get their names) helped me load everything and went the extra mile in every way. They were incredibly kind to me... even after my less-than-great attitude earlier. I tipped them and apologized for being grumpy, but I have to say I left there genuinely believing in people again. They handled the situation with so much patience and kindness. Very cool experience. I'll absolutely be back (with a better attitude!) and I'll be paying that kindness forward. The store is on the smaller size, but everything is well organized, good quality, clean, sizes and prices are easy to find and a dressing room is available. Love that! Since items here are non-returnable, I always try everything on before making a purchase. Abby's Closet carries sizes from small to 3X (Plus Sizes). Sizes are driven by what she receives to sell. More people need to consign good quality, plus-size clothing. Obviously, she doesn't receive as many plus-size items as regular sizes. Just ask where certain sizes or styles are, and they can direct you if you can not locate them quickly. The prices are reasonable and seem to be competitive with other consignment stores. Stop in when you're in the Greenwood area. The selection changes daily.

I could see paying that for something in pristine condition but most things are "lived in" pieces. I think I ended up picking out six that I liked and they have a dressing room there so I tried them on and ended up purchasing two of them. The other thing I really like in here is their costume jewelry selection it is really fun! I will continue to stop in here as long as they are open. The value is good although higher priced than Goodwill but the quality is typically better and there are a whole lot of vintage items. The Blackbird Nest specializes in redesigned modern, antique and vintage furniture along with home decor, lamps, new clothing, bath and body products, prints, florals and wreaths plus holiday decor. The shop has several smaller rooms with various items incorporated throughout but items are organized well and prices are clearly marked. I liked seeing furniture, clothing, home and holiday decor all tastefully arranged together in each space. The store has a few narrow isleway's but most are spacious enough to browse comfortably down. They do have a dressing room to try on clothing you are interested in.
