THE APPLE DOESN'T FALL FAR FROM THE TREE!!!…read more 1.5 years ago I bought a Ford Transit Connect (small) from Duane Tillman at at the 40+ year Tillman Van business on W. 16th St. Indy. I asked him for an electric hookup and hitch to be added to my purchase. He had his son's Greenwood Tillman's Van & Truck business make changes prior to my purchase and added only a few hundred dollars to the price. Duane Tillman gave me a very fair deal and was a pleasure to deal with. I traded the small van for a full size Ford Transit van and had just moved to Greenwood. I asked Tillman's Van & Truck to add the same features which they did at a very reasonable price and scheduled. Since then I had an Indy audio business install an inverter and upgraded audio unknowing that they were not qualified to make changes. After 2 months of repeated efforts to fix what they'd messed up, they ghosted me ... haven't heard from them since but have left reviews on their web & Facebook pages... Even though Tillman's Van & Truck doesn't claim to install audio equipment, they were able to replace and fix the inverter breakdown. Aaron, a salesperson was very knowledgable in what was involved electronically in making the improvements. Sam, the tech who did the work was very much on top of what was needed and knew when to draw the line on getting involved in the audio part. It was very tough to figure out and undo the incorrect changes involving new switches and audio handling box that were now a part of the my 2020 Ford electronics. After getting the inverter straightened out and with their recommendation, I took my van to Audio Source on S.. 31 to make the final audio tweeks and the inverter/audio system now does a champion job. It had been since late Feb/early March that I've struggled with the poor installation done by the Indy mobil install business. In all my trips to Tillman's Van & Truck, I had a chance to talk with and do some ordering with most of the sales staff. I'm sure Duane would be very proud of the way my needs were met.

Brought it to two places downtown (both were confident they could do the work, both contacted me they were unable). Located Beck Automotive when searching "under Classic Cars Repair" for an alignment shop. Discovered Beck and gave them a call. Mark assured me he has a mechanic with years of experience, and he should be able to complete the alignment. Brought it in at 10AM, picked it up around 2PM. Alignment was completed "and it was perfect". Really thankful for their wonderful service........

After I moved over to Indiana we started using them for all three of our vehicles and a few years back we had new tires put on all of them - very competitive prices free lifetime rotations and all very good people to work with. They can handle pretty much anything your vehicle would need. Most of the new car dealers around Shelbyville send their customers to Shelby Tire for their tire needs which is a good sign! Sometimes we just wait on our vehicle other times we may drop it off and come back later or cross the street to Cow Palace for a good bite to eat. Highly recommend! They are all very nice but I usually deal with Cody.

The first time the issue was something we needed the dealer for. They didn't try to charge any crazy fees or "fix" something else- they were 100% up front about the issue and the best way to fix it. The most recent experience, they had the vehicle one day and fixed multiple issues at a reasonable rate, so we were able to send our daughter off to another school year away from home with peace of mind. Highly recommend Ken's Auto Electric. Jarrod is a straight up, honest guy, they know what they're doing!

They called in about 30 minutes and the work was complete in less than 3 hours so we could pick it up later that day. When we picked it up, one of the mechanics let us know about some repairs we might need to make in the future but were not pushy at all like you sometimes get at repair shops. Overall it was a pretty good experience. Hopefully I don't need repairs again any time soon but I will visit this place again.

One complaint that I do have is that when I was given my oil change options, I was not presented with the conventional price. I had to ask for it. I was only told the synthetic and semi synthetic price. I found that kind of odd. Anyway, I spent about 25 minutes here, from pulling in line to pulling out of the bay. While changing your oil they offer other services. Some services are free like tire pressure, window cleaning, and fluid/light check. Other services require an additional charge like tire rotation, air filter change, fluid top-off, and spark plug change. In addition to my oil change, I had them change my air filter and top-off my break fluid. This service is quick, easy and efficient. They have a very clean and neat waiting area available, if the service they are doing on your vehicle requires that you get out of it.
