First of all, they are way overpriced. Second of all, they aren't very knowledgeable. Third, they are just stubborn and won't work with you on how you want to approach the issue with your vehicle, even when they are recommending stuff that has nothing to do with the issue that brought you in. My car had a coolant issue and was overheating. I had already heard bad things about this place but I took my car there bc it is quite close to my house and you can't go far on a car that overheats. They charged $100 just to even look at it and got absolutely nowhere on the overheating issue. They recommended that I start by changing both batteries, for about $400 a pop. They acknowledged that there is almost zero chance this was causing the issue but wanted to press on anyway so that they "get proper computer readings". They had no clue why it was overheating. I have a German car and I know they're not worked on in every shop so I'm sympathetic to that. These guys insisted that their mechanic grew up in Germany and this was absolutely the way to go. They refused to try anything else unless I bought new batteries from them. So I fired them. Best decision I've made in a long time. In fairness, they were extremely polite to me when I came to pick up my car and give them their $100 (which I maintain was paid for absolutely zero benefit to me). I limped the car to Autobahn (formerly Bosch Auto) on the other side of I69. They assessed the issue (for free), replaced the coolant reservoir (it had leaked), and identified that the overheating was a gasket issue, which they also replaced. My car is working tip top now and the whole bill was $1,600. Christian brothers wanted me to get to $900 before they even started to address the actual issue that brought me in!! And they wouldn't take no for an answer. Just kept fighting with me on the phone until I gave up on them. The car has been running beautifully since I picked it up. And btw, still has the same batteries that Christian brothers wanted to take out and replace, which had nothing to do with the overheating or the empty coolant reservoir. Thanks Auobahn! Booooo Christian Brothers.

The staff was nice and accommodating they made sure to get the all the cars in soon as they can. They have coupons for oil change, they can check your tires so as other services that you need. The price is not terrible, one thing I like about getting my car serviced here is I don't need to get out of the car and wait for hours.

My fiancé and I have visited this location many times without any issues, but our most recent…read moreexperience was terrible, and we won't be returning. We waited over 1.5 hours for an oil change after being told it would only take 30 minutes. Once we reached the bay, the technician drained the oil and then informed us they were out of oil filters. They had to get more from across the street, which caused an additional 30-40 minute delay on top of the supposed "15-minute" oil change. We paid full price, and while the technician did apologize, it would have been nice if they had checked if we had time to wait before starting the process. After our 2.5-hour oil change, my fiancé called the location to discuss our experience with the manager. He spoke with someone who is presumed to be the manager named, "AJ or DJ." The manager was extremely rude, interrupting and yelling at my fiancé while he was mid-sentence. What shocked us even more was when the manager laughed at him and blatantly ignored everything my fiancé said after explaining that people plan their day around estimated service times and that this delay caused him to miss most of his nephew's first birthday. He told him to call corporate to "complain" because they are owned by corporate. We weren't even complaining, just providing feedback from our experience, as we have done for both good and bad experiences. Most managers appreciate hearing both positive and negative feedback from customers, so they can improve their operations. This situation became LESS about the oil change and MORE about how the manager treated a customer. If he's treating customers this way, it makes us wonder how he treats and trains his employees. This is deeply disappointing because we know Valvoline doesn't stand for this in their business model, and we hope action is taken seriously. We've never encountered such poor treatment at any business and hope it doesn't happen to anyone else. Due to this experience, we will not be returning to this location and will take our business to a different Valvoline. Please do NOT support this location. 0/10 recommend.

Unsafe and Dishonest -- I Left Feeling Deceived and Manipulated…read more I took my car to Firestone in Greenwood (1295 US-31 N) after two trusted shops had diagnosed an outlet hose issue -- something covered under my Firestone warranty. That's the only reason I chose to go there instead of my usual mechanic. When Firestone looked at it, they claimed the problem wasn't the outlet hose at all -- it was the inlet hose, which is conveniently not covered by warranty. That immediately raised red flags. The outlet and inlet hoses are in completely different spots -- one's up, one's down -- it's not a small detail to get wrong. I asked the technician if I could record the issue for my own reference and clarity, and I was met with a sharp, condescending attitude. I came in alone. I fit the image of the "naive woman" they thought they could get over on -- and that's exactly how I was treated: dismissed, patronized, and pressured. When I asked how soon I could get my car back, the tech snapped at me, "So you're not getting any work done?" I calmly said no -- it had already been diagnosed as an outlet hose, and if it wasn't that, I'd go back to my regular shop. His whole energy changed -- cold, defensive, and rude. There was zero professionalism. Let me be clear -- the two shops I went to prior were honest, skilled, good-hearted people. The way Firestone handled me was the total opposite. I left without agreeing to the repair. But when I got home, my coolant reservoir was completely empty. I topped it off and monitored it. Before Firestone, I had to add coolant maybe every 3-4 days. But the next morning -- after only a 10 to 15-minute drive to work -- my entire hood was engulfed in smoke. I immediately pulled over and opened the hood. I recorded a video. What I saw was alarming: coolant was violently spitting from the inlet hose, and it was clearly not even connected properly. The wet interface was leaking profusely. My coolant tank was bone dry again, and I'm just thankful my car didn't overheat on the road. At this point, I felt deceived, gaslit, manipulated -- and like my vehicle had been tampered with to make the inlet hose appear to be the issue. It went from a manageable slow leak to a dangerous, dramatic failure within hours of Firestone touching it. I didn't pay a cent -- and never will. This wasn't just poor customer service. It was unsafe, unethical, and deeply disappointing. If you're a woman, document everything. If you rely on their warranty, get a second opinion. Don't assume they'll stand behind their work -- they might find a way not to. I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone. I left feeling targeted and betrayed. Do better, Firestone.
