The 1st visit to Care Center on June 3rd

How did we go from here. On the June 3rd to here on the June 9th. Finally on road to recovery. This place should be shut down. I am making a complaint to the Veterinarian board in Columbus! My vet bill was $321.00

Had to take my cat here last night. He'd had dental surgery a week ago and became very lethargic…read moreand close to unresponsive. Of course my regular vet was closed (love them as well) cuz it was 730 in the evening, and this is one of the emergency vet services their answering machine recommends. I called ahead and told them what was going on with George and they recommended I bring him in. When we got there, they took him back within a couple of minutes. About 20 mins later, they brought him back out and let me know his vitals were "nice and stable" and that I could monitor him overnight, then take him to his regular vet today. When I asked if I should check out, they informed me there would be no charge since all they had done was triage him and check vitals. Since I was already tallying up the hundreds of dollars that would be due between his emergency vet visit and his regular vet visit, you can imagine my incredible relief at that news. Thanks to them, I was reassured that George would make it through the night until I could get him to the vet today. Definitely a positive experience and if I ever need an emergency vet in the future, I will absolutely go back to MedVet.

Later that day I got a call, they couldn't find anything wrong and to pick him up, I did. Unable to enter the building due to their plan-demic 'rules', they brought him out to me and walked away??? He was scared to death and worse off. I asked another employee what was going on.... she stated someone working there was not nice to him. He came home and hid under the bed shaking. I got him back into our vet that day, told them he still isn't eating, drinking nor pooping. They kept him overnight and gave him an enema. He had falling and bruised insides and was constipated as it turned out. We picked him up the next morning and he was himself and again, better and so glad to see us. This medvet charged me over $700. to only scare him and possibly mis-treat him. I started paying them $25.00 a month, against my better judgement and the scumbags reported me to the credit bureau...... never again.

Being fortunate enough to have never dealt with an emergency vet situation with my dog, I was in a complete panic. I rushed to VEG with videos of how my (very high) dog was walking, the bag of gummies for reference, and a hope for everything to be OK. The staff was not only very calming (for both me and my dog), they assured me that the situation is one that they've seen before and see often. They presented me with the options available as well as two costs - one for an overnight stay, and one for the *must* treatment right now. I am forever grateful to VEG for this experience. In another instance, I was recently at the VEG 5K in West Chester. I had received some concerning information about a lump in my dog's mouth from his regular vet and I was considering different options based on what I had been told and researched. Though the event was meant to be fun and not "working", the medical director listened to my situation and offered his own thoughts as well as his condolences that I was navigating the situation at all. I believe that the staff at VEG cares about their patients - human and animal - and would recommend them to any pet parent.

At that moment you should walk out, because they are a sales team, and their main goal is to over charge you but not to help your animal friend. We were promised by them three times that they have magic tricks to calm down our dog before his examination, because he didn't have time to take sedative medication. Then we found out their magic trick is to have me put a muzzle on my dog, which of course my dog said no. Then my dog had no exam and went home stressed. And they still charged me 200 dollars for that, just shameful business, everyone be aware!

The vet that did the surgery said he was reluctant to see my cat again afterwards due to her aggression. Dr. Miller and Ally were still accommodating and flexible through her appointment to get her what she needed despite her very poor behavior. It was very nice to have a vet that trusted my word before the appointment even really began. Given it was a walk-in on a Friday evening after every other vet was closed, we were in and out in a little under an hour. The price for the visit and medication was fair given our circumstances.

While I was explaining why we were there, the intake person started talking to someone else, about something else, in the middle of my explanation. Then I watched while people came in with a bowel obstruction and other stuff, and ended up sitting in the waiting room. I saw them triage ONE patient, and those people specifically had to request it. They tell everyone there's a 1.5-2 hour wait, even those who have already been waiting that long. The seats are incredibly uncomfortable, there is no water or anything... We left after an hour and a half. They finally called me at 12 AM SUNDAY to say they had a spot for me. And that's just to get you in a room. Once there, you end up waiting even longer. I know this from past experience with them as my primary vet. I ended up taking Spike to another. Emergency Vet, that was much better, and he was jaundiced and his blood work was all off... He was very sick and Grady didn't do any kind of intake exam, and did not even get to me until six hours after we arrived. Do NOT go to GRADY.

We haven't found our solution yet, but my initial consultation with Dr. Stephanie Bruner was great. She is kind, upbeat, informative, patient, and I had a great first time visit with her. Once we got here they took him back briefly and said they needed to do emergency surgery because there was a blockage in his gut. We freaked out and especially after they told us the price. We didn't have much money so we wanted a second opinion. We took him to MedVet and after some scans they determined there were zero blockages and all he needed was some Prilosec. Later on we got a new puppy and she had bad bowl issues. We went to a local vet and they sent a referral for us to go to these guys. Despite our previous experience we trusted our vet and went. Due to work my wife went alone. Once my wife was there they immediately took our dog in the back and didn't say anything to her for 30 minutes. After that time the owner and main vet came in and laid into my wife. He hounded my wife for buying from a breader and said if he is going to help then it will be his way or the highway. He demanded we re-do every test and scan we had already done (which would cost a fortune) or its the highway. My wife was in a corner against a chair scared for herself because of how he was yelling. We perused litigation for intimidation but gave up because of the costs. I'm writing this review to warn people of this evil place. From the people at the desk to the "veterinarian owners" this place is evil. How many reviews of people saying the same thing does it take to have this place shut down. Please if you care for your pet do not take them here. They will do far worse to them then how they are. Take them to MedVet just across the river. They treat your pet like a person and you will be happy to pay the extra I promise.
