Carlos did an excellent job replacing our broken torsion spring. He also took the time to service and adjust our other garage doors and openers without trying to upsell us. He was knowledgeable, hardworking, thorough, and honest. I was so pleased with the extra work that I paid him more than he asked. Also showed up on time! Highly recommend Carlos and Cardinal Garage Door Services. read more

Excellent service. Called in the morning and he came out early afternoon and repaired the garage door. Texted in advance and resolved my issue quickly. Highly recommend for any garage door opener repair or install. read more

Carlos came out the very same morning that I called him. My garage door had come out of alignment, and he had it fixed in 10 minutes and did not overcharge. If you want someone honest and quick, Carlos is your guy! read more

Five years ago, this outfit installed two garage doors and openers for us at our home in Manassas. Both worked great until recently when one of the brackets that lifts a door broke. There was no warranty, obviously, and when I called them I was just hoping that somebody would come out and fix the problem within the next few days, whatever the cost. Carlos responded the same day. He spent a couple of hours replacing the bracket with a heavier duty version, and then he greased everything to make certain both doors were working properly. I knew it would be expensive, but for everything he did it would be worth it. When he was done, and I asked him what I owed him, he shrugged and told me ten bucks. I gave him more than that because I felt embarrassed to give him so little for all the time and effort he put in. Carlos, and his company Cardinal, are one of those rare contractors who really deserve more than five stars. So here you go Carlos: ********** read more

Nothing but great things to say about Carlos! Responsive, friendly, knowledgeable, excellent. I'd used Cardinal and Carlos about 7-8 years ago, and remembered the company name since our last experience with them was so good. He answered the phone on the second ring, let me know when he could be there to assess, followed up when he said he would. read more

Excellent customer service! Carlos was fantastic and the price was not to be skipped. We had a new Genie garage door opener that needed to be installed and Carlos came on time, finished faster than his estimated time and went out of his way to explain everything he did. He was kind and courteous and clean! If they did more than garages I would hire him to do more! Absolute pleasure and I couldn't recommend him more. read more

Great work! Came the next day after I called, on time and job completed with the hour. Will recommend them and/or use them again. Already have them saved in my phone! read more

Excellent service! We have used them about 5 times, and each time the installers were fast and efficient. They replaced broken springs, installed garage openers, and tuned up my garage doors. When I refer them to friends/family/coworkers they were all happy. I'll be using them again, I have Orlando on my contacts even though he stapled his card above my garage button. :D read more

Cardinal garage door services has the BEST customer service! I was leaving my house yesterday evening and my manual garage door broke and would not close. I called a few places, they were the only ones that answered. I told them what was going and how I felt unsafe leaving it open all night considering I'm a single mom and it's just me and my son here. They came out and closed it for me free of charge and then came back the following morning and repaired it. Words can not begin to describe how grateful I am! Great customer service and even better prices, I'm pretty sure any other company would have charged some sort of emergency fee, but out of the kindness of their heart they came and helped me. This is seriously a he sort of company you want to support because genuine customer service is hard to find nowadays. Thank you! read more

I contacted Cardinal Garage Door Services to inspect and repair 2 garage doors that had been damaged a few months earlier. Carlos (Cardinal Garage Door Services) was able to inspect the doors later that day and confirm my assessment: the doors should be replaced. Later that day one of the door openers failed due to a broken sprocket inside the unit (an older Chamberlain opener). I contacted Carlos who offered several options for me to select from. I hired Cardinal Garage Doors to replace the doors and openers. The work Carlos performed was simply outstanding. I am very particular when it comes to electrical and IT system wiring from previous experience/job duties. Carlos' work was some of the neatest, and most efficient I have ever had performed by any other contractor. In addition, every single feature worked perfectly...the very first time! I highly recommend Cardinal Garage Door Services, especially Mr Carlos. I couldn't be happier with the job he performed. Outstanding! read more

I had used Carlos in the past with no issues. I set up an appointment to get my two garage doors looked at for routine maintenance. Carlos gave me a window of 2:00pm to 4:00pm on Monday for him to come by. I called about 3:45pm because he had not shown and I only got his voice mail. At 8:00pm he texted me to say he was busy and thus why he missed the appointment. I had taken off from work early to be at the appointment and he did not have the professional courtesy to call to say he could not make our appointment and to reschedule. He offered to come out Wednesday (2 days later) but I will bring my business to somebody more reliable. I would not recommend this company. read more

Garage door motor from Craftsman failed after 18 years. Called Orlando at Cardinal and his professional tech came the same day, helped me identify the right, new belt-drive replacement (much quieter and pleasant), and installed it in two hours for a very fair price. Second time Cardinal has promptly come to the rescue. Best service ever! read more

Friendly and efficient service with very reasonable rates. We had our garage doors, openers and all hardware replaced. Highly recommend!

Have had great service from Orlando in the past, but this time, he totally failed us. I contacted him three times over a three week period about replacing a garage door. He kept saying he would contact our tenant to do the work, but he never did, and he never contacted me unless I initiated. Unfortunately, I would have to recommend against this company. read more

Had two garage doors installed. Overall very happy with the install and quality of the door. Had several quotes and Cardinal was right in the middle. The doors look great on the house. Thanks Cardinal Garage Doors. read more

Carlos M. provided outstanding service! The spring in the door busted. I was able to reach Cardinal and set up an appointment for the next day. Carlos arrived on time and immediately went to work to replace the spring. There were some issues with the automatic door opener and he resolved those too. The fee was reasonable, but even more importantly the service was EXCELLENT. I can't recommend them highly enough. read more

Our garage door hadn't raised all the way for some reason and we accidentally backed into it. Oops. Now what. We were pretty sure some major work was going to be needed, parts replaced, etc. Based on all the good reviews, we called Cardinal Garage Door and Carlos said he could come out the day after next. We thought we were just getting an estimate, but it turned out Carlos was able to fix everything within an hour that same visit with no need for new parts, and for a very fair price too. Not only that, Carlos re-greased the door it now it's quieter than it's been in years. We were more than impressed with Carlos' friendly, knowledgeable, fast, and fair service! Highly recommend this company! read more

Orlando and Carlos have been terrific. I had four companies tell me my 60-year-old garage could not accommodate an automatic door. I contacted Orlando, based on a recommendation by my neighbor, who sent Carlos to me. Carlos is a wizard. He figured how to reconfigure different parts of the garage door frame so he could install a low-profile door opener that has worked perfectly. read more

Excellent company! When me garage door broke, I sent out some messages and calls to get quotes. I got a response quickly from Cardinal and they were at my house on the next business day. Their price to fix my garage door and even reinforce the other other one was fair and spelled out. When they came out to do the work on the day scheduled, they arrived on time as promised and they did the work quickly and professionally. There were no hidden charges. The work was done well and professionally. I HIGHLY recommend this company. I will recommend them to all my neighbors too! read more

Our garage door spring snapped over the weekend right before Christmas and Orlando & Carlos came to the rescue the following day!! I have used their business exclusively for years and their dependability and reliability are unmatched. We wanted to add a remote and asked a few people, Cardinal came back with the best price and Orlando has been very responsive and always replied super fast with all my questions and concerns. The service and installation went very smoothly. The next day I found I made a mistake and needed to fix it and I communicated with Orlando- they were very understanding and offered to come again the next day free of charge. The adds on went well and it's fast and smooth and free! It's rare to come across a service that has the combination of expert skills, good price, easy communication and perfect customer service -- but Cardinal has it all. Thank you and highly highly recommend! read more

Great service as always. The first time I called was nearly 10 years ago when my garage door spring broke. It was on New Years EVE and they came on 2 Jan to fix it. My second time was a door "check-up" since it was making lots of noise--squeaks and popping--and my attempt to lubricate the rollers and hinges didn't help. They came out, checked the balance and suggested new nylon rollers . . . and it really helped. This week the spring broke again after almost 10 years of use, and again I called Cardinal! Reliable, reasonable service! Even got a "returning customer" discount making it cheaper than 10 years ago! Recommended! If I replace the original wood door, I might use them! read more

We had Cardinal replace our Craftsman door opener which was about 6-7 years old and this was replaced with a Marantec garage door opener. About 2-3 weeks later, the door would no longer close due to a defect. We contacted Cardinal and they came out the next day to troubleshoot and diagnose the problem. This required a second visit to obtain parts and Cardinal repaired the garage door. We are happy with the Marantec. It's a little puzzling why it broke after a short time frame, but what was important is Cardinal was responsive and fixed it to our satisfaction. read more

I needed to replace an aging wooden garage door that was crooked, had an old motor, and even older springs. The old door was no protection from the weather and when the door opened and closed I could hear it from the 3rd floor. Before I decided to replace the whole thing I called Cardinal because they were close by and asked them come out, troubleshoot, and maybe give me an estimate. Within hours they were at my house, spent about an hour in the garage making what adjustments they could, gave me advice about what my options were, and didn't charge me a dime. I received an estimate a couple days later and I was sold. Ordering the new door motor took about two weeks. Scheduling the install was easy and took about 6 hours from start to finish. Cardinal removed all the old hardware and installed a Haas insulated door, Linear motor, and all the hardware. The garage door is whisper quiet, keeps out weather, and even bugs. I received a really nice upgrade to my garage door and fantastic service for a really low price. If you are looking for help with an existing door or want to buy a new one, be sure to invite Cardinal Garage Door Services to provide you an estimate, you won't regret it! read more

Orlando was great! He arrived on time and finished quickly. Amazing, given that we replaced two garage doors, with openers. He cleaned up when he was done and carted everything away. We couldn't be happier with Cardinal Garage Door Services. read more

The service provided by Carlos was, in a word, fantastic! We arranged to have a garage door opener installed for our daughter's townhome and so glad we found Carlos. He came to the house right at the time agreed upon, inspected the door, determined the proper door opener to use, and then he drove to the store to purchase it. He came back and in no time at all installed it. He walked us through how to operate it and we are thrilled with his work. He is neat as a pin, and just the nicest person! If you need work on your garage door I highly recommend that you contact Carlos and Cardinal Garage. You will be glad you did! read more

This is the second time I've had Cardinal Garage Door Services help with a door repair and the second time I've received outstanding service. Our spring broke on a Sunday and Orlando was available to come out same day but the following day worked better for me. Orlando was quick and efficient with his work and fair with the cost to replace and repair the damages. He also lubricated the hinges on the door and gladly answered questions I had on garage door maintenance. Thank you! read more

Orlando was great to work with. He was able to give me a quick estimate of work on a new garage motor. He scheduled the job quickly and easily. The technician showed up on time and finished faster than expected. He cleaned up all the materials and was very professional and polite. He even made sure I knew how to operate the Wifi portion of the motor before leaving. Cardinal is a very professional company who delivers their work as promised and as quoted. They also had a military discount. I will refer them to friends and family. A very deserving 5 stars. Thanks Cardinal!!! read more

I called Carlos yesterday because my garage door wasn't working (wouldn't close). I needed someone soon but couldn't be home until late afternoon. He was very accommodating and came later than he normally would. He explained he is fee upfront. Right away he told me what was wrong and what he would do to fix it. When he was done he told me everything that he did and it was even more than what I expected. Not only was he friendly but I felt like I got a great value and quality work. I'd definitely recommend Cardinal for their services! Thank you Orlando and Carlos! read more

Extremely happy with this company. Pricing was very good and installer was great. First job I had them do was replace some tension springs with a tension bar. While here I asked about replacing my old chain drive openers with jack shaft openers to quiet things down. Let me know the installation price and I order the new opener before they had even left. The installation of the jack shaft openers was also a great experience. They cleaned out all the old wiring and rails and mount kits from the old openers before installing the new openers. I was very impressed. Super nice. Hopefully I won't have future door issues, but if I do I know who I'm calling. read more

Professional, knowledgeable, great price, what more could you ask for? Cardinal replaced 3 single car garage door openers for us. When we called, rather than pushing me to buy through them, Orlando pointed out some great Memorial Day sales deals to be had from Home Depot and recommended I buy from them and have Cardinal do the install. Orlando suggested specific models and informed me of the advantages of each. The price he quoted for the install was quite reasonable and scheduling a convenient time was a breeze. The day of, Carlos came out, went over the plan, reviewed what we wanted to do, and gave us an expectation of how long it would take. Everything was spot on. Very tidy installation and obvious that they knew what they were doing. Highly recommend Cardinal. read more

Cardinal Garage provided one of the best quote after calling around 10 places. They werent the cheapest but was fair and I decided to go with them based on the multiple 4-5 star reviews.
