Great customer service. Super small shop and not what I was expecting from the outside. Delicious coffee and pastries but I would definitely take my coffee to go since I'm not a fan of small places. It was fairly crowded for their morning rush but service was speedy.

Matcha is always sublime. Not overly sweet and more natural tasting. Really love their ube as well. Staff is friendly, helpful and chatty. Not a ton of seating but lots of great sunlight. Tried the mango matcha this time. Missed the mark for me a little bit, mango flavor wasn't strong enough.

Friendly, inviting and quick service. Outlets are set up for easy plug in for laptops. Nice variety of hot, cold and seasonal beverages. Clean restroom and seating area.

Came to Carbon Coffee to try out their matcha drink. They have plenty of parking in the back and the inside is perfect for hangout, study sesh or quick work spot. I got the mango sticky rice matcha and my sister got the hojicha latte with earl grey syrup added to it. Both of them were just okay. The flavor was not as strong and both drinks were very milky. I wish it had more strong matcha flavor to it. Hojicha was not bad but still it just tasted very milky in the end. I'm glad we tried this place out and might come back to give it a second try to see if it's better.

One of my favorite places to get matcha and sit down and study! They have plenty of options to choose from. If you cannot decide, definitely try anything that has "carbon" in the name. They have good amount of tables but not all have access to an outlet. They get very busy during rush hour and on the weekend, so come early to snag a spot! Their pastries are also very good, you can always find an asian-inspired scone here :) Overall, I highly recommend trying this place especially if you are a matcha lover. The staff & owner are always super friendly!

Incredible! I will totally have to go here again. I went here specifically for Mile High Asian Food Week. I got the Tokyo Fog-their take on a London Fog. It's Oolong Tea, Earl Grey Syrup, and a Matcha Foam on top. Holy cow. One of the best drinks I've ever had. It should be noted that I have never really been a huge fan of matcha. However, this drink may have converted me. I will be back again, mark my words. Lol. I also got a Pandan Coconut scone as well. It was huge but went really nicely with my drink. Definitely want to try their Ube scone next time. I got here right at 7 AM, when they open. Parking was easy and the shop was very clean. There aren't a ton of spots to sit down for large groups, but lots for pairs, so I'm not sure I would necessarily count on sitting down here. Its aesthetic in general, is simple and clean. Finally, service was very kind and did an amazing job at making my drink.

Absolutely loved our drinks and experience here. It was empty on a Sunday morning, so service was super quick. The barista was really sweet and welcoming. We got the strawberry matcha and ube latte iced w almond milk, both 10/10. Not overly sweet, just perfect. I love that they weight out their matcha, very authentic!

The wife and I popped in here early on a Sunday morning; it was quiet with no other patrons, just two very nice employees. Small but well utilized space. We chose to "sip in" thus our bevvies were served in real coffee mugs, but to go cups are of course available. We both chose seasonal lattes- Wifey had the Chestnut Cardamom and I had the Bourbon Bells; both were fantastic! Latte art, perfect foam to milk ratio and a harmonized blend of flavors. They offer a variety of milk alternatives, including pistachio milk which I haven't see offered anywhere else. It appears they are masters of matcha and offer quite a variation of this; I've never been a big fan of matcha but I imagine if that's your jam you would want to explore their intriguing offerings such as the Blueberry Lavender Matcha. Bonus: Local Beans available for sale supporting local roasters Servant and Sweet Bloom. Highly recommend!

This is my favorite matcha spot!! It's the best and the baristas are the sweetest people ever;)

Black Sesame Matcha Latte and Pandan Mango Scone

Small local coffee shop with a fiercely loyal following. Despite "coffee" being highlighted in their name, their delicious matcha and hojicha tea drinks are probably what they're even better known for. It's located just across the street from the Anschutz Medical Campus, so you'll find lots of healthcare workers and students camped out in the middle of the day and afternoon. A decent size parking lot exists behind the building but is shared with several other retail spaces so can get tight during peak hours. And not to worry, you can enter through the front or back doors, so no need to walk around the block with your hands full. Once you find yourself inside, take a peek at their main menu behind the bar, but also the posted seasonal specials located on the counter. Housemade syrups elevate their standard lattes to even more heavenly sipping experiences. If you've got a hankering for Asian inspired flavors, look no further - ube, black sesame, and pandan feature prominently in their craft drinks and pastries. I like that they partner with other local businesses in their products as well. One complaint I do have is that there's not really room to stand to wait for your drink during busy times given how narrow the space is between the bar, tables, and merch shelves. You're bound to get in someone's way while they're trying to come in from the front or back entrance. The only other downside of Carbon is the disappointment you feel when you finally get to the ice cubes clinking sadly in your cup when you reach the end of your drink.

The food, service, Ambiance, and especially the coffee are fantastic the Staff is great and friendly and their seasonal menus are always amazing glad to have a coffee shop so close by!!!

Been to Carbon Coffee a few times and the drinks always are yummy. The only employees are incredibly accommodating and will offer to make changes without being prompted. The shop is a bit narrow, making it a great place to work or read!

It was so rare that I was on this side of town, I knew I had to stop by this coffee shop. I've heard amazing things about this shop. I have come to yelp to confirm, it absolutely lives up to the hype. This is one of the few places I can say I'd reorder the matcha latte. Creamy, but full of matcha with the perfect balance of sweetness. The hojicha was also fairly authentic and had a great earthy flavor to it. Service was quick and friendly. There aren't too many tables available, but great for a solo work day.

The ube latte was perfectly sweet with a strong ube flavor. The crème brûlée cruffin had a top that was so crispy from the toasted sugar that I couldn't cut into it, and the bottom was just stuffed full of cream. It was super messy to eat and impossible to share- next time I am getting my own. We also had the pandan coconut cupcake, which was good but not as exciting as the cruffin. The pandan and coconut were both equally strong flavors- I liked it better than my husband did. The Thai tea cake in a cup was also excellent, but outshone by the cruffin. They were out of a few other things we wanted to try by 11am on a Saturday, so get there early if you want something specific. The gentleman running the counter was very friendly and efficient, even when they were busy. Seriously, get the crème brûlée cruffin. I know I will be back for it.

I hadn't been to this cute and interesting (Vietnamese-French fusion!) bakery for quite a while…read more(looked it up: wow, four years--time flies). My girlfriend was taking a class nearly across the street, so I thought I'd check it out. I was disappointed that they've apparently stopped making crêpe cakes as that was a favorite. There were none in the case and they're no longer mentioned on the Web site. Alas. However, there were lots of interesting items on display. I selected a Strawberry Croissant, a Chocolate Cupcake, and one of the cake cups: Ube Tres Leches Milk Cake. I'd never seen anything like that last item before. The strawberry croissant is filled with fresh strawberries and vanilla cream. I was worried that it might be soggy, but it was crispy, flaky and very tasty. The frosting on the cupcake was chocolate-flavored chantilly cream. This was heavenly. Absolutely perfect. I never contemplated ube plus tres leches. There is a traditional Vietnamese version (ha, you Latin purists!) that uses the flavors of Vietnamese iced coffee, but ube is a new approach. The number of different cultures involved here is making my head spin, but the result was delightful, of course. A mini cake in a paper ice cream cup is also a great idea. More substantial and easier to eat than a cupcake, but still a good snack for one person. Service was prompt, friendly, and helpful. The business faces Colfax Avenue. There's street parking plus a large, free parking lot behind the building. There are a number of tables if you can't wait to get your purchases home and a variety of drinks including Vietnamese coffee, a full espresso bar, tea, and lemonade. Bánh mi and other breakfast and lunch sandwiches are available plus rice bowls. I really enjoyed my purchases. Downtown Aurora is a bit of a drive for me, but I definitely need to make the trip more often.

We've dined inside before, but yesterday we stopped in to pick up pastries and were reminded why this is one of our favorite bakeries in Denver. We grabbed an éclair, a blueberry muffin, and two ham and Swiss croissants. Every single thing was outstanding. The croissants are incredibly flaky and buttery with the perfect ratio of ham and Swiss, the blueberry muffin was moist without being overly sweet, and the éclair disappeared embarrassingly fast. We always have every intention of taking pictures... and then we take one bite and completely forget. That's probably the best compliment we can give. We loved sitting inside, which is intimate, cozy but still roomy. We are looking forward to sitting outside in their patio space. Staff are also exceptional!

The place was modest and quirky, with a random small chandelier adorning this bakery. Families, groups of friends, and cyclists were in the mix of patrons on a Saturday morning. All servers were very friendly, helpful with dish descriptions, and fast! The ham and cheese croissant and a shared cinnamon bun was in the cards. The pastry was flakey, buttery, and very tasty. The sesame, roasted onion and garlic sprinkled on top of the pastry was delightful. The warm cheese and ham inside were also good. The cinnamon bun was a nice mix of croissant and cinnamon bun; also flaky and buttery. I am guessing flakey, soft, and buttery is their signature! One minor thing, that coffee was not good, but the food made up for it. Overall, this was a very nice place that got us interested in all the pastries with that buttery flavor. For sure a recommend for visitors and locals.

It was a SINGLE pin on my google map - no pins near it at all! I must have pinned this at some point as "a place to go to sometime when in the area" but I really can't remember pinning it and am not sure why I would pin a coffee shop located in a church! However! This is the second coffee shop that I've seen in Denver while driving by - like located as part of a massive church, so it was interesting to actually be checking it out. It was a weekday and there was a vast parking lot and there were like 4 cars. LOTS of parking! Once inside, I immediately relaxed! Didn't even know I was tense! There was so much to look at and it smelled so good inside. Couldn't quite put my finger on it. Something baked tho. My eyes wandered everywhere over the various retail areas, the furniture - couches to patio furniture, the people behind the counter, the various large chalkboards, menus, etc. Lots to look at. I wound up getting a spicy chai! I never order chai! I must have been under some strange spell from being immersed in the warm comforting baked goods aroma! The spicy chai had KICK! It was so good that I ordered a second one to go! My friend ordered that ham+cheese biscuit which looked amazing, with those cheese legs dripping! Whoa! It was such a nice coffee + conversation vibe. I would totally go again if I am ever in that area again! Oh! The 2 behind the counter were very friendly and knowledgeable about their vast variety of menu and drink items!
