I had to take two days off work and go to the DMV twice just to avoid driving illegally before visiting family for Christmas. Since the DMV had no record of my paperwork, I was forced to pay another $410 for a 90-day permit and registration--money I don't have as I'm getting married next year. While I was at the DMV, Justin Skoll (Walker's Renton Sales Manager) told me over the phone to pay the fee again and send him the receipt, and he committed to reimbursing me. After I sent the receipt, he reversed his position and said he now has to wait for confirmation from the DMV before reimbursing anything--even though they admitted they put a stop on the check they originally sent. By Oregon and Washington law, it is the dealer's responsibility to ensure a vehicle can be registered when they collect registration fees. Instead, the dealership failed to process my paperwork, kept the $687 I paid them, and left me to pay the DMV again. Leading up to Christmas and my wedding, I am now out $1,097 and only have a temporary 90-day permit. As someone who has worked in dealerships and OEM's, I am extremely disappointed and would not recommend this dealership.

The car I was interested in was advertised as being in "great condition," but once I looked closer, there were clear issues that hadn't been disclosed. When I asked questions, I either got half-answers or attitude. One problem was brushed off as "normal," which later turned out to be anything but. Paperwork took forever, numbers kept changing, and I constantly felt like I had to double-check everything to avoid being overcharged. The whole experience felt dishonest and stressful. Buying a car is a big decision, and this place made it feel like a battle instead of a professional transaction. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere that actually values transparency and customer service. I had a very uncomfortable experience at this car lot, largely because of the owner. His behavior was unprofessional and unsettling. He made comments and spoke to me in a way that felt discriminatory and disrespectful, and I did not feel treated the same as other customers who were present.

Although this deal didn't pan out, I would 100% do business with Carlos in the future, and recommend asking for him if you are in the market for a vehicle. With that being said, it's worth mentioning that this dealership is no-frills. There isn't a fancy lobby or great amenities, but it's still setup adequate enough. Their prices are astronomically inflated, but the real disaster is their complete inability to communicate or follow through on anything they promise. My Wrangler has now been sitting in their service department for over 30 days. In that entire time, getting any kind of update has been like pulling teeth. They do not answer calls. They do not return voicemails. They do not reply to texts. They do not proactively communicate anything -- not status, not delays, not parts issues, nothing. Every timeline they've given me has been blown past without explanation or accountability. I would recommend looking elsewhere, it is worth a longer drive for better service and cheaper prices.

At delivery, the truck was not properly detailed. There was a dirty towel left inside, the center console was unclean, bird droppings on the exterior, and the truck bed had not been cleaned. For a vehicle that had been reserved for a week and given the amount we paid, this level of preparation was unacceptable. We were not provided a walkthrough of the truck's features, no guidance on the Toyota app, and no explanation of how to set up payments. We also were not informed at the time of purchase that we could upgrade rims and tires by paying the difference -- something we only discovered later through the service manager, after the opportunity had passed. While Bradley was professional and polite, the overall sales process lacked clear communication and follow-through. After an accessory upgrade, we were not properly advised about the window tinting process and only learned not to roll the windows down from a small Post-it note. Most disappointing, after Keith, the Sales Manager, personally asked us to leave a review, I emailed him twice to address these concerns and received no response over several months. That lack of accountability reinforced our concerns about the overall customer experience. We expected a higher level of professionalism, communication, and attention to detail.

Anna was very friendly and communicative and helped us by showing us the SUV and generally being awesome. Special shoutout to Joe. There was miscommunication during the paperwork, and something was added that we did not want. He did not try to force us to keep it and instead made the corrections, and everything worked out as initially agreed. Over the course of 1year, this dealership had my car for 7 months of the year, First 3 months I had to go there due to some misfiring issues I had with my vehicle, turned out to be further issues lying in the engine had to get a vehicle replaced, which was covered through my warranty, (they also charge more than what outside warranties cover, so had to still pay on top of it) I assumed a new engine okay, so I'll be good for pretty good time, as I just daily the vehicle to work and home. 2 1/2 months go by of just being a daily driver, as I headed to the store the vehicle stalled on me, confused I was able to start it back and pull into the parking lot, noticing I am now In limp mode, CEL is back on, vehicle is misfiring heavily, I was able to tow it back to the dealership, and showed them the codes I found, and explained the issue. They found the issue was the VCT sensor was bad (they used from previous engine and didn't tell me) later tried to tell me and charge me $10,000 for repairs, and I had to argue with them stating it's INSIDE THE ENGINE, and it's covered under the ford warranty due to the engine replacement, after some time was abled for them to actually confirm it and continued with the repairs... As of yesterday Roughly 3-4 months later I was able to go back and pick up my vehicle after 3 month back order for cams, along with then notifying me a retainer clip on a hose was broken off and replaced with a zip tie, and wouldn't be covered by them. (I've not touched inside the engine bay, only the dealership) Along the route back home I had an issue with the CEL reappearing and misfires appearing. for the safety of the engine, I had it towed the remainder of the way, along being able to check codes, the same codes appeared, and in back in the same spot I was last time, without a vehicle... warranty had saved me money, but the incompetence of the techs/employees there failing to properly fix an engine is beyond me.. 2 times for me with over $40k work in the engine, and still they can't get the job done properly..

After finding a vehicle online at a very fair price, Richard reached out to confirm the used vehicle was still in their inventory and welcomed me in. Upon arrival, I explained the situation to Richard to get him up to speed, he got me situated with a test drive, and afterwords we sat down to sign the paperwork. No crazy requests or added fees, just the cost of tax/title/licenses and the vehicle sell price as listed online; I really appreciated that, as I didn't have time to negotiate and didn't feel that I needed to because the vehicle was already priced fairly. Once that was all settled, we went in to work on financing paperwork with Julie. She was amazing and knew we were in a rush to get to a job the same day. She accommodated our paperwork to be able to leave with the vehicle while coming back to sign on a better financing deal at our convenience the following day. This was one of the most straightforward vehicle purchases I've made and was thrilled with the results.

After about 6 months when I noticed these charges, I went back to the dealership to cancel them. I spoke with a manager named Den, who was extremely rude and spoke to me in a very aggressive and disrespectful way instead of helping resolve the issue. Later, after getting advice from others, I contacted them again and went back to the dealership to cancel the contracts. They gave me a cancellation copy and told me it would take 3-5 weeks for the cancellation to process and that the refund would go directly to my auto loan bank. Now it has been over 8 weeks and my bank confirmed that no cancellation or refund has been processed from Walker's Renton Mazda. This is very frustrating and unprofessional. I feel misled and ignored. What's even more concerning is that two of my friends experienced similar issues with the same dealership. I strongly recommend that anyone buying a car here carefully check every document before signing. Be very cautious with any additional contracts or add-ons they include.

This wasn't a simple purchase. I was coming in with an insurance settlement in transit, lender constraints, multiple approvals being explored, and a tight window to make everything line up correctly. There were a lot of moving parts, and it could have easily fallen apart. Instead, Josef stayed patient, transparent, and never applied pressure. He kept me informed, respected my pace, and made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. Jonathan in finance really earned his credit here. He worked through multiple lender scenarios, made adjustments as new information came in, and ultimately structured a deal that made sense for my situation. He didn't rush me, didn't force anything, and when I decided to pause instead of forcing a down payment, he respected that and continued working the numbers until it actually worked.
