I needed a car quickly and unfortunately I didnt have a lot of money to work with. When I walked up to the shop yard, I saw exactly what I needed and I love the car still. More than that, Gee has been extremely helpful and accommodating to my financial limits. This family business shows that they understand hardship, and they are just regular people like us, as opposed to predators trying to make a sale. I never, ever thought I could give ANY used car buying experience five stars, but here you go. After frustrating experiences at the "big boys", I popped in at this forgettable little place in an unlikely location. I live literally a mile away and drive by every day - but really hadn't given the place a second thought until I was driving home from Evergreen Ford (who had irritated me). This place had not just one, but two possibilities for me. Woo-hoo! Gebran is friendly, straight-forward, no nonsense and no fuss. One of the two trucks was a couple grand over my budget limit but it would be great for my purposes. I asked how much wriggle room there was on price and he point-blank told me to take the truck to a mechanic of my choice, see what they say, and THEN we talk price. WTF? Did a used car salesperson just say that? *FIVE STARS* I start work at 5:30 AM so getting the truck to the mechanic would be challenging for me unless I leave it there overnight. Gebran said no problem, he would get the truck there for me. And he did. I got the mechanic's report, went back to negotiate, and was met by dad Tony as Gebran was out for a few minutes. Tony was trying to take a credit card payment from someone, their magnetic stripe wasn't working and Tony had no clue how to work a credit card machine. He gestured to me and said, "You, do you know how to do this?" Well, yes I do. LOL! So then we had to do the negotiation dance thing. Based on the work recommended by my super awesome trustworthy and reasonably priced mechanic, I had a significantly lower number in mind. Of course Tony told me my mechanic was full of baloney and the truck didn't need that stuff and I was being taken for a ride, etc. Well Tony, your opinion of my mechanic's competence and ethics is irrelevant. I've told you what I'm offering. Tony looks at the computer, makes some hmmmming noises, goes outside and huffs around a bit, calls Gebran, and then comes back in and counter offers $500 more than what I offered. Done and I offered my hand. The whole "ordeal" took not much longer than a pap smear (can't decide which is worse...lol). Gebran returned, asked if we made a deal, dad made a funny joke (which I can't remember but it ended with something like "but she shook my hand"). He has a dry sense of humor and a twinkle in his eye. Stupid me forgets that I am now middle-aged and can't read anything without reading glasses. I didn't have mine. Gebran went and got me his dad's to wear. So sweet. We did the paperwork, bing, bang, boom, done. This is a small family business and I really love to support those. Of course they are in it to make money (isn't that why we all go to work?), but this really was a pretty painless, courteous, quick experience. I got pre-approved for a Honda Pilot they just got in, contacted them and then filled out the financing application in order to finalize it on Friday. Was approved for the vehicle, talked to them on the phone and told them I'd be there on Monday to finalize the paperwork since I work all weekend. I was told that was fine and that I needed to get full coverage insurance for the Honda before I came in. They turned around and sold the SUV the next day to someone else. After I filled out an application, let them run my credit, was approved and got insurance for the vehicle I was buying. They told me afterwards that they don't hold vehicles. Okay fine but it would have been nice to know to that the day I did all this and I would have made an effort to get there sooner than Monday. I was also told the guy I was negotiating with was outside the office when another salesperson sold the car I'd been approved for. So, the story goes that I had once purchased a great older model car from them and was very happy with it AND their flexibility on payments. Then, after an accident, I had to buy a new car. I chose to go back to Highland Auto because I had a "good" experience from them before. They sold me a 2004 Rav4 which I thought was a decent car for about 5 months, until I learned that it wasn't. In fact, not only was it not a good car but the technicians at Meineke who overlooked my car said that it was "a fireball waiting to happen." The reason why it was a fireball is because the fuel system, undercarriage, and exhaust system was entirely corroded and falling apart due to what was speculated to be "water damage caused by flooding or inclement weather" as quoted from the technician's report. So, with that in mind, I called Highland Auto and my father also spoke to them. Needless to say, they played ignorant, and said that the carfax doesn't include anything about flooding or water damage, and that it was a family car passed down and in good condition as far as they were aware. That's about as far as we got with them. We asked for some sort of recompense but they gave us a cold shoulder and even implied that the pre-existing damage to the car was my fault in only 5 months of using it. Moreover, it's been recommended by the service technicians at Meineke that we should contact the Better Business Bureau, the Federal Trade Commission - all of which we have done - and they wrote by hand on the report the question: "How many other cars like this have they sold?" I ask myself the same question. At the end of the day, I was in a desperate situation and what they sold me was not only a lemon but a dangerous vehicle and then blamed me. They took advantage of me, and I should have been a smarter shopper. But they knew that, didn't they? read more

Drove passed the lot on the way to work, saw a truck that i was very interested in and potentially buy, looked online to check their hours on a Saturday, which listed them as being open until 5pm, it was 3pm and they were closed, called them, left a message, texted a sales rep, and not a single response. Sadly, I didn't have the same experience as the people before me. I drove 3 hours to look at a car highland auto had. I went there knowing that only 1 part was wrong with it...they said they would fix it. Anywho... I purchased the car. The next day the tabs were expired. I went to renew them.....I couldn't because the paperwork wasn't in my name yet. Then come to find out, it needed new license plates too. The dealership claimed they "didn't know" about the expired tab and license plate! Which is there job to know. Anyways I was responsible for paying for that. Also, I waited 19 days for them to send me the part. Took it to three different mechanics they all said that the part wasn't the right fit. Called highland auto and he said "sorry we said we'd get you the part and that's what we did" he missed my point that it wasn't the right part and there is no way it would be able to fit. They won't give me the right one. From day 1 this car has gave me nothing but trouble. And there was so many things mechanically wrong with the car then what they told me. I brought it up to them and he said "our mechanics check for safety issues we didn't see any we were concerned about" ok last I checked, oil leaking from the motor is dangerous, you need tail lights I drive legally on the road, and having the tie rod bent out of place which caused wearing out the front tires to the point where the steel was sticking out makes my car dangerous. I'm not a happy costumer and won't go back nor will I recommend it to anybody!!!!! read more

This experience was laughable. We agreed on a deal, then I decided, I'll take the vehicle down to get inspected, sounds logical right? It was a nice day so I sat on the porch while I found a shop to do the inspection and everyone else that was employed there smoked huka and talked in their native language, even though they all spoke English just fine. I took the vehicle down to get inspected and the shop said it was going to be 2 hours. It is what it is, so I called the dealer to see it they could pick me up so I could pass the time elsewhere. When he showed up to pick me up he changed the entire deal. He said he reworked the numbers and he has to give me 500 less for my trade and 500 more for the vehicle I was purchasing. Lol, really dude? Couldn't you have crunched the numbers again while you were smoking your f-ing huka on the porch? What a joke, he then has the nerve to say "call me if you change your mind"...Hmm change my mind? You are the one that agreed on a deal and changed your mind. Highland auto was a great experience.I had been looking for a particular vehicle for some time with no luck.I had been to other used car dealers with challenges.Engine light on,air bag light on,fob does not work.They were actually asking full price.Its amazing they don't fix these issues before listing them.It would have saved a lot of time.I contacted Gebron regarding a vehicle he had listed.He was staight forward and had no issues discussion the vehicle over the phone .I was a little leary of a small car dealership.I was pleasantly surprised when I showed up for a test drive.The family owned business was a nice break from the typical back and forth negotiation process that I had been exposed to with other car lots.The car had low miles and was priced right.The next day Gebron allowed me to take the vehicle to a mechanic of MY choice to have the vehicle inspected.It was very reassuring to me that he had no issues with this process.After the inspection,I returned to the dealership to purchase the vehicle.Fourty-five minutes later I was on my way with my new vehicle.I could not be any happier with the experience that I had at this dealership.I would recommend Highland auto to anybody looking for a reasonably priced vehicle that does not want to spend 4-6 hours negotiating a vehicle purchase. I bought my 2011 Subaru Impreza from Gebran at Highland Auto back in 2014 and have had almost no troubles with it (it needed new tires which I was aware of when I bought the car). They were very helpful and up front and communicated throughout the entire length of time that I was dealing with them for the purchase of my car. Gebran is very kind and legitimately seems to care about treating people right. I contacted Gebran today (12/6/16) to ask him for the vehicle purchase order (for something related to my trade in vehicle) and he responded to me in minutes with exactly what I needed to resolve my other issue! I thought I was getting a good deal when I got my car under bluebook. As I was pulling out I was told the AC needed to be filled with frion, no biggie I thought. Took it to a mechanic and it was full, my AC does not work and will cost alot to fix. Also was told my tires were new and they are in fact bald and not the same brand or tires as on the receipt i was given, Was told it was in a minor fender bender, the whole front bumper is a different color and also paint sprayed on the headlights like a bumper was slapped on and painted. A month later my car was driving really bad and engine light came on. I checked the oil and it was 4 quarts low! whoever changed the oil must have not known that camaros take 8 quarts, engine light was on and after diagnosing 6 codes and having a camaro friend and mechanic look at my car it had 2 hoses unhooked and didnt even know how it was driveable. When I bought a 2011 car from a dealer i would think it would be driveable and serviced and have working AC! Also my trade in was not paid off for 4 weeks making it impossible for me to get my warranty and GAP cancelled on my old car since it still was in my name not paid off even though my loan was funded to them to pay it off. ALso my tabs expire soon and i did not get no new tabs or license but yet was charged $150 for them. Oh yah and also wouldnt give me the spare key and registration until i paid them my refund check which i couldnt even get until nagging them to pay my trade in off, legal law is 3 days, they took 4 weeks! Do not buy a car from them unless you want a headache in repairs in the future,they do not do things by the book either. read more

really people, REALLY? its funny how most of these 5 star ratings are from women - no offense ladies., or friends of his to cover the smoke of BS vehicles him and his father sells. i bought a car from these guys, and Gebron or whatever his name was after searching high and low for my car - "claimed" it was a good vehicle for a good price. well guess what, BS... im not mechanically inclined, and yes it was my fault for not being paranoid and taking it into a mechanic to have it verified. these guys sell beautiful cars that are straight pieces of crap. come to find out from attempting to get the vehicle aligned - firestone wouldn't even do the alignment because the tie rods were amazingly still holding the tires on, driver side caliper was seized. "significant" oil pan leak, bad electrical. don't get me started - the bill for the repairs almost was more than the cost of the car. so, im trying to figure out where in gods name is this good car he claimed it to be? not only that -the company, Bucky's auto was supposedly the ones who passed all this in there so called 120 point inspection. How? How do you pass a vehicle in this condition as sellable to the public? i have children, and this car was a straight death trap. all these issues, bell whistling, warnings within the 1st couple weeks of purchase. i called him to notify him of the issues i was having to seek some sort of resolve, and he had the audacity to send me back to the mechanics that was suppose to have cleared the vehicle on the 120 point inspection on my dime. no help, no remorse, nothing... im a single parent and we needed a car - if you are deciding to buy a vehicle from these sharks, take the car to the dealership the car is manufactured from and pay the little 80-100 dollars to have a proper inspection done before signing your soul away. read more
