I purchased a vehicle on Jan 21st without being informed that the battery had to be jumped twice while they were cleaning it up before I finished the paper work. The next morning the vehicle would not start at all, nor would it be jumped by another vehicle or box. I called the dealership and was told by the receptionist that the sales manager, Brian, was not in yet but she would have him call me right away so the issue could be worked out. A couple of hours had went by so I called back to again be told he was not in but they were expecting him in no later than 1pm. At 3:30pm I still had no word so I called back and was told he was in but not at his desk. Approx. 30 mins later I received a phone call from the person that sold the vehicle to me from their personal phone who politely and professionally asked what the issue was and then admitted that they did have to jump it, but that it was normal to have to do an initial jump for vehicles that had been sitting for awhile, but that they normally are fine after. He said that he would speak to the manager, Brian, and get something worked out for me. As it turned out the sales rep was on his day off and out with his family but was still directed to work on this issue with me in place of the manager. Around 7:30pm the sales rep, still on his day off, called me with a solution proposed by the manager; I tow the car to a near by Les Schwab to replace the battery and they would reimburse me the money spent for a new battery. I called up my insurance, had road side assistance added to my policy, and then got my car towed to Les Schwab right before they closed. They told me the battery was the stock battery and was completely dead. I called the sales rep, confirmed the battery was indeed the issue, sent him a picture of the receipt and told him I would bring the physical copy up when my plates arrived. A month later my plates came in so I drove up to get them only to find no check was with them. I asked the receptionist about the check who called over my sales rep. He informed me that the manager, Brian again, was supposed to be handling it and went to speak with him. The sales rep came back and told me that the check is supposed to be mailed to me and they do not know why it wasn't yet, but that Brian said he was going to take care of it. The sales rep asked if I brought the physical copy of the receipt, which I did, and he took a copy of it. Jump forward another month and the check has still not arrived. I called the dealership to speak to Brian only to be told he was away from his desk and had my name and number taken for a call back. The next day, still no word, so I texted the sales rep who replied back, again, that Brian was the one handling it but he would ask Brian to contact me. I have called several times since then over the last two weeks with Brian either not being in or away from his desk. Almost three months now with no resolution. *There were some other issues discussed about the immediate concerns of the car the day after purchase such as wobbling when reaching highway speeds and was told the tires most likely just needed to be balanced. That weekend, unfortunately after the three day period to report issues was up due to work, I took the car in to get the tires balanced only to find that the car was sold to me with a bent rim and a bad wheel speed sensor. read more

Two months ago ... We had papers ready to sign on a new car at another dealership, but thankfully have a neighbor in the car painting business who recognized that an entire side of the vehicle had been re-painted, and that the paint was already bubbling. His prediction: it would last a year. We still considered buying because our neighbor would be able to fix the problem. But, before we did, I went online again. I found the same year vehicle at Good for $1,000 more than the one we were looking at with the other dealer. However, the one at Good was WAY more loaded, so it was actually a much better value! I called and Josh answered the phone. I was working in the north end, my husband and our trade were in the south end. Josh came and picked me up at the Sounder train station in the car I was interested in. My husband met me at the dealership, and negotiations began. This is where the 4 stars come in instead of 5; I was a little bit disappointed in the amount that we got for our trade. We had been offered more at the other dealership and Good wasn't willing to budge. However, they did make the deal attractive in other areas and we were still happy with the overall makeup, so we went ahead. We were in a hurry to get to another appointment, so Josh and the finance guys were doing awesome at making things go as quickly as possible. We had our two small children with us, and Josh bought our son pretzels and played with him in the new car while hubby and I worked on signing paperwork. I can't tell you how much his "babysitting" helped us get things done! We were in and out of finance in about 20 minutes - fastest time ever! But we still got good explanation of what we were signing, and didn't feel like we were being taken advantage of at all. In fact, we came out of finance with a payment that was $30 LOWER than what we had agreed to in negotiation! How often does THAT happen? Overall, we were very pleased with our experience at Good, and especially with Josh. Yeah, he's a salesman, but he was also straightforward and seemingly honest with us. Sure, he wanted us to buy the car and was doing all he could to make that happen, but I wasn't put off by him, either. I would buy another car from him for sure. All that said... now it's time to test the service department. Looks like we have a leak! I know it's new and not something Good hid from us since we've had rain already, so don't misinterpret this problem as something they hid from us, but it will be interesting to see how they do. My phone call to service was awesome - Dave was funny and empathetic, and we'll have the car in soon. Yay for extended warranties! :) Hopefully it will be something easy and we'll get great service - if we do, maybe I'll come back and give them that 5th star! read more

5 stars is as good as it gets, and that describes my experience at Good Chevrolet buying a used Silverado truck. I have not had my truck serviced there so this review pertains only to the sales/finance department. A special shout-out to my salesman, Craig Johnson who genuinely tried to figure out what my needs were, and then honestly tried to meet them. Everyone knows that buying a used truck is risky. Eventually, when Craig saw that I needed more time to make my decision, he simply contacted his boss (who came out to meet me), and they both agreed right there on the spot that I should take the Silverado home with me for a 24 hour test drive. It was just a gentleman's agreement that I would bring the truck back the next day. This not only gave me plenty of time to drive the truck from Renton to N. Seattle, then out to Enumclaw, but I was also able to test the 4 wheel drive on the awful Forest Rd. 7174 that goes up to Corral Pass near the Norse Peak Wilderness. This told me everything I needed to know about the truck, and I went back the next day and purchased it, feeling completely confident that I was making the right decision. Craig and his boss put no pressure on me at all, instead they simply gave me the time I needed to make my decision. The asking price seemed low, and when I looked it up at Kelly Blue Book, I could see that Good's asking price was not a dollar more that what KBB said it should be. And here's another way in which Good Chevrolet respects its customers: On their website they let you see the complete Carfax report without paying a dime. Many dealers just give you a teaser Carfax report telling you the report contains so many "records." But they won't let you see what those records are until you buy the report. And get this... even the dreaded Finance Manager in the back room who tried to sell me Add-ons was respectful with a no-pressure approach. His name was Lance. I actually appreciated the way that he patiently explained all the pros and cons of buying a 5 year service contract. Kudos to Craig Johnson and the others at Good Chevrolet for giving me the best experience I've ever had buying a used car/truck. read more

Update June 8 Upgrading to 5 stars. The dealership had offered to redo the protective coating as it was not done the first time and all personnel were helpful and courteous. We ended up purchasing a Traverse from Good Chevrolet through Gary and couldn't be happier. Despite the hiccups with the initial purchase, everything was rectified. Update: May 25 Downgrading my review to 2 stars now. After taking to truck in to get service done as part of our package (May 23 at 9am), the paperwork was not ready. I was told by 3 people that the truck and paperwork would be ready that day, indicating it would only take a couple of hours. At 2pm we called to get an update and were told it wouldn't be ready until the 24th by end of day. I called for an update around 11am on the 24th and was told the truck had already been finished up and had to call back to find out the paperwork status. Both items were indeed ready on the 23rd, but I never received a call. Upon arrival, we signed the paperwork and had to request our original paperwork back. When we went to the truck they didn't have any record of us and it took awhile to find the truck. But we got the truck and were squared away...or so I thought. We will now have to go back again as there were several key papers missing from the new paperwork we signed. It is unacceptable that a customer would have to make multiple trips, FIND these errors, etc. I was thinking about going to this same dealer for my next purchase but this has left a bad impression. Original review at 4 stars: We met with John Lim on May 19th regarding a possible purchase of a new Chevy Colorado. We set an appointment the day before and were able to get it quickly to meet with John. He was very respectful and allowed my husband and I the space needed to discuss privately and also check out the vehicle. The process was very smooth and we did not feel pressured at all with the purchase. The only reason I opted to not give 5 stars is that we had noticed two days after purchase that the vin number listed on the paperwork was incorrect and will require us to go back in to fill out the paperwork again with the correct vin number. Other than that mixup, I would highly recommend Good Chevrolet and John Lim. read more

I bought my 2016 chevy impala in 2017 of September. Always brought car in for any concerns and maintenance. Had transmission serviced 4/2/21, four months later i started having issues with the performance of my transmission, brought back 8/2021 and then again 9/2021 for issues not being resolved. They found nothing because their wasn't any codes and claimed car was fine. 7 months later transmission goes out 4/7/22. Sent email to Service Director, Mr. Manning on 4/18 and hand delivered letter for General Manager on 4/20 with no response from the GM.. Mr Manning did respond and only agreed to only look at car without cost, but I would hv to get it towed at my expense for the third time. After I already had it diagnosed on 4/13/22 by the shop I had it towed to because I literally was stuck at work with my car not moving. Not once did Mr. Manning have empathy on the situation. I feel that his service department failed when it came to properly evaluating my vehicle and its like if there's no light on or code then they think all is fine. I faithfully brought my car to them and now that I'm complaining and wanting resolution, its like oh well not our issue and it must have been something I did, but at the end of the day I relied on their findings, which has now left me with a non working car and not much as an apology was giving to me. All I can say is your only that " valued customer" when your spending money. If you got an issue, you're on your own. The last email I got from Mr. Manning today 4/26/22, was it for me. Once he said if you in fact do need a transmission, repairs would be at your expense. Like really.... If my car was properly evaluated, I would not now have a non operating vehicle. I will be filing my grievance with this dealership, even if there is no resolution to my liking, but at least my words will be seen and just take caution when dealing with Good Chevrolet. I would never refer anyone to them for anything. My car didn't even last 5 years and as a single mom the struggle is real, but I will bounce back. read more

I bough a car here about 5 weeks ago and it's been a nightmare. Fiona is finance told me I had 15 minutes to sign my paperwork, Peter in sales accused me of posting a bad review and told me to take it down, David in Sales gave me a vochure to fill up the gas in the loaner car because 2 days after my purchase my steering wheel was clicking and a part needed to be replaced and it was on back order. I was told they inspect all used cars before they leave the lot so I don't know how they didn't hear the constant clicking sound. They gave me a bill for almost $400 for the part in the steering wheel (even after Pam told me I wouldn't have to pay for it since I just bought the car) Mike Niles is the rudest man I've had to talk to. Instead of fixing the situation he acted like he didn't care . He never returned my emails that I sent him. Bryan Creek claimed he would help me and take care of everything and I never heard from him. Anytime i would call or go in i was treated very poorly. I couldn't deal with them anymore, the whole month it was a battle to get them to do anything or fix anything or to even talk to someone. I was passed around to different people. In order to cut ties with this place I went to Gilcrest and TRADED the car I just bought for a different car . That was the only way I could start fresh. This place is a nightmare . I am so glad that I no longer have to deal with anyone here. I'm still waiting on my money from the extended warranty I canceled so we will see how long that takes . I don't want anyone to experience what I had to go through, please please stay away from this place . All they want is your money. Once they get it they no longer care at how they treat you. I highly recommend Gilcrest Chevrolet, they helped me through the whole process of trading a car that I just bought and were able to get me into a different one and i couldn't be more happier. read more

My wife and I were shopping for a newer Suburban yesterday. We looked at five dealerships for the vehicle we wanted with no luck. Everyone wanted way too much for there vehicles, which didn't have all the extras we wanted. My wife then looked on Craigslist and found the perfect vehicle we wanted to look at, but it was a hour drive away. I called the Good Chevrolet and spoke to "JC". I told him about the ad and wanted to make sure it was still there so that we wouldn't waste our time and gas going there. "JC" went out and personally located the very vehicle we wanted and held it for us until we arrived. Upon arrival to Good Chevrolet we were greeted by several nice salesmen, and was introduced to "JC". He went and pulled the Suburban out for us and offered a test drive. The Suburban was awesome, and it had everything we wanted and more. The price was perfect and fit our budget, and we started the purchase process. During this time, I explained that I had a outside lender that was working with us and was offering a good rate. "JC" offered to match or beat the financing with their finance specialist. Guess what??? They did, and not only did they match it they beat it by a lot. The finance officer was very nice and offered a wide variety of packages for the Suburban, and even though we declined on some he wasn't pushy like the folks at Pierre Ford. These people made my purchase so easy and hassle free, without all the stiff arm tactics used by most dealerships. I highly recommend that if you are looking to buy a new or used vehicle, please see these people first. They will take good care of you like they did us, plus you only buy what YOU want not what you don't need. I've been searching for a reliable vehicle for a few weeks now, went through numerous dealerships and I wasn't very impressed. But then I stumbled upon Good Chevrolet in Renton. What really caught my eye was the swarm of vehicles they had in their lot facing the road. I was easily able to see 10-15 different cars that I was interested in test driving. Once I parked my car, I started walking to the cars that I seen from the road. I was very intersested in the 2008 Honda Accord, this was the cleanest one I seen by far the miles, price and package were perfect. A minute or two later a sales guy walks up and introduces himself. I thought to myself oh damn a "sales guy" but he came off as very approachable and not pushy at all, I really liked that. Before he even starts asking me about the car, he introduced himself as Andrew and asked how my day was so far. After talking for a minute I ask him about this car and he seemed really excited to tell me about it. I could tell he really liked the car too. This got me a lot more interested in the vehicle. I asked to test drive the vehicle and so we did, all the questions I had about the vehicle, he answered them with confidence and that was impressive. I can really appreciate that. After the test drive I knew I wanted the vehicle. Andrew was very helpful with the entire process on financing my first vehicle, everything seemed perfect. I wasnt even nervous like I expected to be. I recently purchased a 2011 Chevy Cargo Van from Good Chevrolet and was surprised by the ease and low pressure of the sale. Originally like most people I felt leary of dealing with a car salesman as I personally had bad experiences with dealerships before. John Dupre showed me the vehicle I found on the net-gave me a price and let me walk out after I tried to negotiate. Similar vehicles with my package cost about 1200-1500, dollars more. After my trade in vehicle was involved in an accident the trade in value dropped about 3000-4000 dollars. Good Chevrolet came back with a figure I thought was fair. I negotiated and got them to up the trade in and give me a great deal. All in all if your looking for no nonsense-knowledgable people, you should deal with John Dupree for your fleet sales. He is a straight up guy who couldnt have explained-overhead,advertising,wages and what my vehicles trade in was worth to the company. People who purchase vehicles look for dollars as their incentive, but fail to realize what it cost in rent,gas,wages and salaries to even sell 1 car. Being a business owner myself Ive dealt with countless customers looking to get stuff for free or having you work for less then what you should get and having John Dupree speak firmly and sternly and knowledgable to me about the cost of running business is what really sealed the deal. One of the dealerships we stopped at on the way went so far as to tell us we might be better off looking at a used car/truck instead of what we wanted which was a 2013. I am guessing we didn't look like we could afford much. We left in a hurry and headed straight for Good Chevrolet. We pulled up and decided we were going to pick a friendly looking person and out walked Zach. I knew right away this would be the guy who sold us our new vehicle. The lady that was supposed to help me was very aggressive and upset. I credit it to her being late to work by almost 10 minutes. First I asked if they usually check the air filter because the last time there was a packet of oatmeal, huge Styrofoam and lots of leaves inside it. She asked me if there was a time stamp to show when I saw it. It turned out a month later and she said that could have happened anytime after that it only takes days to build up. I forgot, that was an unused packet of oatmeal. At this point i started to get frustrated. I get free oil changes for life. What do i have to gain by complaining? I just want to make sure it gets done in the future. I spoke to Wayne and he assured to me he'll make sure it gets done. They checked my cabin filter... smart because of all the ash... And I bought one even though I told that lady I wouldn't give the dealership a penny, but the guy that helped me was polite. not like her. I should have looked, but when I got home my dust box was dented and broken. By now, I'm tired of the free oil changes because they cut so many corners to save a dollar. I will never go back. Yes, I'd rather pay $100+ for each oil change than go back and get a free one. I just don't trust my car in their hands. My whole experience with this dealership makes me question how they are even able to stay in business. I want gm to share this because I wonder how many people do not follow-up with what shady work this place produces. read more

This was literally my first EVER good experience with a dealership! Although I don't turn wrenches for a living, I'm a licensed mechanic and usually do all the work myself to save cost. Our last two trucks have been purchased from Good Chevrolet and I reluctantly purchased an extended warranty with this truck - mostly because it was our first diesel and I don't have a lot of diesel experience...Coincidentally, I recently received a letter from GM regarding a sensor failure with the DEF system, along with a check engine light in my new truck. I did some initial troubleshooting of my own and thought it was the condition described in the letter from GM. I then made an appointment with Natashia Wilson and the rest is all good news. Natashia provided great communication throughout the process, got me a shuttle to and from work, and I returned to my truck fully repaired under warranty and earlier than expected. The professionalism of the staff (from the gentlemen who shuttled me, to the representative who provided my paper work at the end), was spot on! Thank you Natashia for my first ever GOOD dealership service experience. I intend to bring my vehicle on a return trip when it's time for other maintenance. Jeff and Johnny were there every step of the way and never tried the typical "car sales-man approach". They were straight forward with the sale and never tried to get me to shop outside my planned price range, or purchase any unnecessary or additional products. From the moment I walked in, they were fully focused on my sale and walked me through the entire process without going back and forth to other customers at the same time.
