Excellent repair to our Jeep Wagoneer! Cost was reasonable, they completed job fast and courteous!

I had Hallie as my contact for the repair of my car. She didn't return calls and caused frecuent delays in the repair of my car by not contacting the State Farm to get approvals for repairs. My car was in the shop for almost 4 mths. In October I was told my car was ready. I could even shift the car into reverse and the front door swung open. For quite awhile they refused to move forward with repairs on a 2019 Toyota rav with under 60k claiming the damage was possibly caused by me and not the accident. I agreed that if that was the case I'd pay for the damage (sure that wasn't the case). Eventually it was taken to American Toyota where they said it needed another cable to the gears. Then Car Crafters, American Toyota all fought about who would pay for the new cable to be replaced a second time. I was also included in the mix of paying for the 2 cable. Thankfully American Toyota agreed to pay for it. Then it was back at car Crafters where they again they were in no hurry to get it back to me. The battery was dead and it needed to be cleaned. Finally the owner from Montgomery Car Crafters told Hallie to get my car back to me by 5pm. Hallie was very rude and sarcastic on the phone. It was a terrible experience read more

A semi hit a van that hit our car, carrying my wife, my mom and dad, daughter and me, on Mother's Day. Luckily we were driving at a crawl on the interstate, so no horrible injuries, but the repair was going to run $10K, and when I saw the rating for this Car Crafters on Yelp, I wasn't so sure it would go well. Let me assure you, if you're wondering who to hire for a major collision repair, go with this shop, they're excellent. Beginning with the estimate and consultation, the woman handling my claim was friendly, she explained issues related to shipping delays, and she was super informative. Every week, without fail, I received calls and texts keeping me posted on the status of the repair, and in the end they beat their own estimate, getting 'r done two weeks ahead of schedule, saving me money on the gas guzzlin' rental car we drove in the interim. And when I dropped by the first time and talked shop at the reception desk, I learned that the staff really loved my employer, M'tucci's. Six weeks later, when I came to pick up my like-new car, they remembered who I was, immediately. I recommended they order the ribs at Bar Roma. I also highly recommend this location. read more

I posted earlier and wanted to attach photo to show my car hood wasnt that bad to need to replace the hood n quarter panel that most bodyshops could knock it right out without buying a hood n quarter panel.i think it's mostly that my car insurance wasnt involved in a settlement for them. Although they quoted on high side over 5.000 knowing it wasnt doing for me. They wasnt very understanding of my situation of my car leaked out transmission fluid in thier parking lot or recommending a tow service to get my car back to a bussiness in blueridge that recently rebuilt the transmission.they just wanted my car out of the way to make thier parking lot look good .I would not recommend them at all for many reasons. Attitude first of all.trees had falling on my fox body mustang that wasnt that bad but obviously they couldn't handle it I'm thinking for insurance writers. Avoid this location. I can't speak for the other locations but this one is terrible. I had been rear-ended last year and am only now finally resolving the last of the repairs, some of which I had to do myself. I had to return at least 5 times to have multiple issues resolved. Note: they have no quality control or checks so bring a mechanic with you and check your vehicle VERY carefully before leaving. They are ignorant and willfully resistant to most of the information I HAD TO PROVIDE to them to fix my car. 1. First item was wrong model badging, no biggie they fixed it, left it but had to return 2. old or used back up lights that also leaked, they fixed it but I had to come back again 3. sent me on my way with no rear lights and no dash lights due to them not checking. I had to find the fuse that was blown myself. 4. missing paint, they fixed it but I had to come back again, then they chipped the trunk and did a poor job of touching it up. 5. license plate lights didn't work, they fixed it but I had to come back again 6. trunk release button which they were ADAMANT was the switch and even after showing them specific directions as to what happened to cause the failure they STILL denied it. I had to do all the research, buy and install the part myself, and then contact the insurance for payment. THIS IS NOT MY JOB! So unless you like the run-around and doing your own work, do not go here. They are nice to your face and have a clean waiting room, but beware, their limits are quickly reached. State Farm insurance on the other hand has been helpful all along the way. read more

No one ever like what follows when something happens to your car, but I think Car Crafters would make it the smoothest process possible. After my car was vandalized I had my windshield replaced elsewhere but began to notice an air leak on what I thought was my drivers side door. I called my insurance who gave me the information for Car Crafters. Car Crafters was able to get me an appointment the next morning! They were a little tricky to find, mostly Google Maps lead me astray, but they are located at the very end of Holly with their store front and parking lot of the west side of the building. When I got in, I was told to wait for my tech and to help myself to any of the coffee (regular and decaf), tea, or cookies they had! The waiting room was really spacious with plenty of seats and they have a tv to keep your mind occupied while you wait. My technician came out quickly and I walked him through what I thought my problem was. He said it'd be 20 minutes while he diagnosed the problem. After about 15, he came out and told me that after running a variety of tests it was actually my new windshield (from a different repair shop!) that was the problem. He told me to go back to them to have them fix their work, and I am so grateful for his quick work and honesty. Their store front has Farmers insurance and USAA signage for being a preferred vendor, and I understand why! While I only briefly worked with them, the encounter I had makes me think that if something ever happens to my car in the future I'll definitely be back for their help! read more

Just bought a 2015 Honda CRV Touring. Don't know why it did not dawn on me that it did not have a rear bumper guard on it as standard equip. It can easily scratch the paint without one. I searched for a long time trying to find a decent one, because Honda only offered a piece of ugly tape to put on. Finally found a great one on Amazon, but did not want to take a chance installing it myself. I decided to go Car Crafters right down the street to see how much they would charge to install it. Keith Hermann, the service advisor came out to talk to me and I ask if they would be willing to install it. He said, you know what, We will put it on for you, I said great, how much will the labor charge be. He said, we will do it for FREE. I thought i was hearing things. Absolutley terrible customer service!!! The body work that was done on our 2013 Camaro was so bad we had to have it re-done at a different body shop. The paint did not match at all. Turns out they shot it over without buffing so it started to chip within days. They took two weeks to do an absolutely terrible job. They were arrogant, unapologetic, rude employees. There are better choices in Albuquerque. They dont rate one star the one star. read more

Im also unsure what went wrong with these other peeps, but my experience here was pretty dang awesome. Early July, I was out on a drive when some idiot t-boned the front end of my car. After a quick search for auto shops near me, I saw car crafters was one just down the street. My insurance agent also recommended them so we were towed over there. From the beginning, I had been working with someone named Kyle, who kept me (and my nosy dad) informed of all changes, damages, and a timeline to get my vehicle fixed. He even invited me to come look at it anytime while it was in their possession. He even test drove my car to make sure it all ran smoothly in the end. Though my repair took almost a month (not their fault - damn insurance), it was like nothing ever happened to my car (yep, totally stealing their motto). They seemed like they really took the care to fix what needed to be repaired, and made sure it looked quite presentable for pickup. They washed the outside and put some air freshener inside. They were all extremely easy to work with, and I would highly recommend this shop. read more

First let me say, that while backing out, carefully watching so not to hit that deck, be mindful of the HUGE tree behind you. SO, called insurance, and then called these guys. I am always leery of having any work done on my vehicle- as women we understand the additional "titt" charges we are often hit with- not here- these guys were honest and fair. They are more expensive than other repair shops but well worth it. When you hear their ad which says "like it never happened"- it is true. The service crew were professional and friendly. My insurance company (safeco) recommended I take my truck here for repair. I took it in, filled out some forms and they said they would call to schedule a time to bring it in. They never called. I called to see what hold up was and they had no record of my visit. They took my information and said they would look into it and call me back. They never called. Auto owner beware, dont judge a book by its cover. A decent looking building and multiple locations does not lend credibility to mastery of autobody work. On two separate occassions since 2018 the body shop was used for insurance claims. On both occasions the vehicle was returned unfinished. The first repair was done in 2018 and the second repair was done during the Fall of 2021. The first time they were unable to refit the bumper to the car properly. The second time the car was returned with visible defects to the paint and the State Farm representative asked me to write, "a good review... because they didn't close down during the pandemic or lay any employees off...?" I'm sitting there looking at my car, with poor paint and body work from two separate claims and you want me to write a good review because of fuzzy feel goods? I followed up with the director of operations and was provided a long explanation as to why the car was returned in an unfinished condition. The shop offered to fix the issues at no out of pocket expense, but this was also untrue. After a severe delay in accommodating a Save yourself the headache and wasted time to provide patronage to a worthy, reliable auto body shop. My review from both repairs is worth zero stars out of a five star scale where a 1 star rating is "not good." read more

Unbelievable, the girl at the front desk has no clue what to do, has no clue who is charge. Just has no clue.... She takes the cake in total 0 customer service skills, not only that, she has a total rude attitude... After giving her one page of paper work to copy for her records she took her sweet time about ten minutes, i think they were trying to use a printer from the 1800s.... Anyway i went thru an employees only door, didn't even go all the way thru just to peek if everything was ok. She finally came out and made a copy on her desk. I informed her that a customer had forgotten a signed credit card receipt, she responded don't worry about it.... Anyways after i was done with this person, some dude that looked like he was vitamin B deprived came out the employees only door and made a comment to me with of course an attitude and made a remark to me, " for future reference the door is only for employees" so i responded, for future reference get your s&_$ together....lololol P.S. Let me start by saying the car looks absolutely amazing, but getting there was less than desirable. The process was very frustrating, to say the least. From the very beginning as a customer, I went above and beyond to make sure the process was as seamless as possible. The ultimate goal of mine, and hopefully Car Crafters, was to get the car completed to my satisfaction in a timely fashion with as few set backs as possible. That was not the case. Had my initial efforts been valued, the date would not have been pushed out a week and my time would not have been wasted driving to the shop, only to see the car wasn't ready after being told it was. The rep assigned to my repairs was named Michelle. She seemed very knowledgeable, nice and helpful. However, I would soon learn her follow-through and attention to detail did not meet my expectations for the service I was expecting from such a reputable local company. The day after my car was placed in the shop, I received the parts list which I reviewed. I noticed the front bumper they wanted to order was the wrong one. I physically went down to the shop and talked directly to Michelle. I explained the bumper they wanted to order was the wrong one as it was slightly wider than the car. I gave her the exact bumper, part number and manufacturer on a sticky note. She snapped a picture with her phone just in case she lost the sticky note, she explained. She was very thankful I gave her this information and helped them avoid getting unnecessary parts and cause delays. On my end, I emailed the company (for my own peace of mind) to make sure the bumper was in stock, which they confirmed. Several days later, I received a call from Michelle asking if I could come back to the shop and give her the bumper information all over again. She said she gave the sticky note to a tech who lost it and ordered the wrong bumper. This frustrated me a little as I also knew she snapped a picture for just this instance. I felt like my initial efforts to help were ignored. Michelle advised the date of completion would be pushed back to allow time to reorder the correct bumper. Again, this was frustrating because it could have been easily avoided had I been listened to the first time. A few days later, I received pictures from Michelle of my front bumper being placed on the car with obvious uneven gaps in the seams. She asked if this was okay, which it absolutely was not. It was not how it originally looked which I thought was Car Crafters slogan, "like it never happened". This was not my first dealing with aftermarket parts. I understand aftermarket parts don't always fit the same as parts from the manufacturer. But, that's why I chose Car Crafters. Again, I felt let down. I was being asked for my blessing on subpar workmanship and that it was being considered as a finished product. I dealt with Michelle one more time over the phone regarding my car's side skirts. She stated she would call me back with an answer, but I never heard from her again. I then received a call from Josh who was covering for Michelle while she was on vacation. Josh was awesome to work with. He was very responsive and proactive in getting things done. Josh advised my vehicle was ready. Being excited, I got off work early and called an Uber to take me to the shop. When I got there, the front of my car wasn't complete. It was missing my tow hook, black vinyl insert and red pinstripes. I was even more frustrated because I specifically mentioned this to Michelle in one of our previous conversations. This was the second avoidable delay. I advised Josh it was not complete and what was needed. I don't blame Josh, as he didn't know. Josh advised he would get it done and have my car back to me by Friday, which he did. Thank You, Josh. A week after having my car, I got a call from Enterprise rentals advising they could not get ahold of anyone from Car Crafters to close out the ticket. Apparently, because I had to keep the rental longer than the original allotted time for the repairs, they needed verification. I texted Josh who responded immediately stating Michelle was handling it. I don't know the process, and it could be because of all the mishaps already. I was frustrated that it took a week before anything was submitted and Enterprise having to contact me before any action was taken. All in all, I will never knock a company on one experience. However that one experience was not a good one. If it wasn't for Josh saving the day, I wouldn't have too may good things to say about Car Crafters. Ultimately, a company is reflected by the people they hire to work for it. Hopefully, Josh is the norm and not the exception. read more

Dealing with them has been a complete and total pain. It took two months from my initial estimate for them to even send the estimate number to insurance, because of so-called "technical issues". Now it turns out the insurance doesn't have enough information, so has to wait until whenever car crafters decides they're ready to send the numbers over. So completely and totally over this shop. I just moved to Albuquerque and broke the bottom of my car during my first week here. I took it in and got an estimate easily and quickly. Then they fixed my car the following week and it's great! Also, they had ordered a part for my car but it turned out that they didn't need it - so the total was about $100 less than the estimate! Super happy about this place and would definitely recommend! read more

They did a great job on the paint and body on my car. But I think they're mechanic needs to get more training and they need to not use crappy non OEM parts. They had to go through 4 radiators for my car and they had to bleed my power system many times. I've had to take my car to a certified mechanic to get my mechanical work refixed. If you're going for paint or body they're great otherwise be careful. read more

They attempted to take my truck captive, saying I had to fix everything at their facility for them to release it to me. Really? I initially just came in for an estimate. Sounds like a money hungry facility to me. They are snakes!!! Incompetent at best. They brought out their hick of a manager, who eventually release my truck to me after complaining for almost an hour. They are not worth your time for even a estimate for insurance. read more

Not the company they used to be. The owner blames the insurance industry and doesn't accept any responsibility for his bad employees. He promised to make things right but then turned to using excuses like "I'm out of town until next week"...hoping I would just go away. What does being out of town have to do with responding to an email or phone calls in this day and age? I took my car to CC after an accident because I've always had good service from them but this time was different. I couldn't get anyone to call me back and I found out after the repair that they caved to the insurance company and never involved me in any of the decisions with regard to using cheap aftermarket parts. I recommend taking your vehicle to a small shop like Mr. B's Auto Repair on Gibson or perhaps Danlar Collision. They won't cave to the insurance company like Car Crafters now does on a regular basis and will actually fix your vehicle to the best standards available in the industry. Car Crafters took short cuts whenever possible to save the insurance company money. They did not look out for my best interest. Their goal is to make your vehicle look good enough and not repair it up to par with the best safety standards available. read more

My Fiat 500L was in a little fender bender that ended up being a big repair job. The Car Crafters Eastside location team finished the job early, and I picked up my car. Then a warning light came on, so I took the car back to Car Crafters. The insurance guy did not see it as part of the original claim and that I should go to AutoZone to have the warning code cleared. However, the Car Crafters Service Advisor (Joe) and Manager (Caleb) thought otherwise because I was not a happy customer. Once again, what should have been a minor fix on a normal car turned into a big ordeal with the Fiat. However, Joe and Caleb kept on task to figure out the problem. They ended up going way beyond the call of duty to make sure the defective light fixtures were replaced. I am so happy Joe kept me updated on the status of my temperamental car the entire time and that he took personal pride in making sure the repairs were done correctly. Also, the receptionist was just wonderful! Thanks for all the hot tea and fresh cookies! One more thing, the Enterprise reps were all friendly and helpful with my two rentals. Stay away. Had to take my car back 4 times for missing hardware, broken parts, paint overspray. Low quality work, would not recommend.

They treat you like a number and try to milk as much money from your insurance claim as possible further delaying when you get your car. Then they tell you they wont give you your car even though you paid most of the estimate until they receive supplements for more work. They held onto my car for another week, claiming it wad for door guards. When I picked up my car, i thought everything was fine. I get home and find the door guards in my trunk not even installed. F#€! THESE PEOPLE AND THEIR ROTTEN BUSINESS! DONT GO ,AND DONT TRUST! read more
