During the repair, ABQ Collision forgot to re-affix the under-tray, which came lose, and replaced the entire thing at the cost of the part. Some areas for improvement: 1. ABQ Collision did not promptly let me know that my replacement headlamp had arrived and I could bring my car in. I found out the part was there when I called to check since I hadn't heard anything for a while. 2. ABQ Collision was reluctant to admit that the under-tray issue was their fault, and did charge me around $60 for the part. I would have expected that to be written off since that was their mistake and the cost was relatively small. Still, I'd gladly come back.

My car insurance was a pain to work with, and Art coached me through the whole thing. Additionally, Art/Goodfellas really stepped up and helped me handle them and get reimbursed. (He even gave me the lowdown on which auto insurance companies might seem like a good deal because they have cheaper rates, but they try to wiggle out of paying when you need them). I was so impressed with the work they did on my car that insurance covered, that I wound up scheduling a follow-up to have them fix another issue I'd been meaning to fix. They did good work, at a much better rate than the previous shop that had given me a quote. Also, I'm not much of a movie person, but the Goodfellas theme/decor was entertaining, too. (My son told me if I had been using self driving it wouldn't have happened and he was right.) After looking around I decided to use Car Crafters. I read Yelp reviews and Google reviews. Thank goodness I read the Google reviews! I have no idea how Car Crafters earned such terrible reviews! Our experience was superior. First we took it in for an estimate which they did while I waited (I brought my iPad so I could read while waiting). Then we waited until we got the call from them that all the parts were in stock from Tesla - and that took less than a week. They estimated it would take a week and a half to do the complete repair. They were exactly on time. Car Crafters motto is something like "make it look like it never happened" And boy that is true. I cannot tell that anything happened at all! Also, everyone there was polite and reassuring. They explained exactly what they would do and why it would take more than a week. (Exacting standards for paint matching among other things.) We have car insurance so the value to us was superior.

They even identified damage that i had not noticed and repaired it. The repairs took a while, but they were upfront about how long it would take. They can't order the parts until they are sure about all the damage to the vehicle, which they can't always see until they disassemble the affected areas. I am very happy with my experience.

In hindsight, it has been one of the worst decisions I've made concerning my automobile . Initially I was told by the estimator/service advisor the repairs would take three weeks, possibly four weeks at the most. This was due to the complexity in repairing a C8 corvette. My car was taken to Crown CouchWorks in mid March 2026. Today is August 26, 2026, my car is still not completed.So April,May, June, July now August have almost passed....5 months I've been waiting for the completion of three or four week minor repair. They have been paid over $10,000 by my insurance company in addition to another $1,000 that I have paid them. They collected 80% of these funds in March 2026. By my estimat,Body Shop technicians working on my car accounted for three of the five months. GM sending a defective passenger door panel added two weeks maybe 20 days. The Estimator/ service writer who was the lead on this job has for certain added a month and a half in delays. Countless trips to the shop voicing my concern have been met with, "we are working on it" to "the ones working on your car have called in sick"to "the Body Shop personnel working on your car both have quit" to " the owner of the company and I am personally going to come in and make sure your car gets finished" Finally the latest comment was" do what you Gotta do" This was in response to my demand that my car be returned to me immediately. although my.car was not completely repaired. I took of possession of it one week ago. They did say they would not release my car unless I paid $500 and sign a ridiculous statement stating that the car was not repaired correctly and they were not responsible for the consequences that could arise out of their not completing the work they contracted for.I did not sign it, I paid the $500 they demandedI to release my car. I do want to add this Crown CouchWorks specifically their Painter did a great job in the painting of the car and also the matching of the paint. I asked that the owner call me, and was hungup on by the estimator/service writer. Perhaps he will reach out to me when he reads this review. Fortunately, I have the resources to get my car repaired correctly, it is currently at the dealership where the car was purchased and advised it's going to cost me $490.
