Honest and reliable ! Like most folks, I would not go to a car repair shop if I can help it ! But over a month ago, I had an "Oh-Oh moment" when my car's engine light came on. Dreading the worst, I took my car to these guys based on the fantastic reviews here. 10 mins after they took my car in, they called to say nothing to worry about and didn't charge me a dime ! I've also talked with James in person and on the phone, very courteous and responsible. I dread to think what would've happened if I took my car to a less reputable place, I'd be CONNED big time and I'd still have to pay not knowing better ! Now I know why the fantastic reviews. Fast, honest, affordable. Words you don't really hear when you think about car places. I am so happy I decided to come here to get my car serviced. My mom had came a month or so ago and told me about how satisfied she was with their service and price. Decided to try it out today and was not disappointed. This review was long overdue. I was in search of a local shop that worked on modded cars. Im very particular on who works on my car after putting in some good $$$ on my car already. I knew from the jump after talking to Nolan, this was the spot. They diagnosed my car and found the exact issue with my car and got it up and running in no time. Don't think twice, you'll be taken care of here. A shop that actually cares about YOUR car. I took my car here for a regular maintenance inspection and was told --essentially -- that the car's engine was NOT healthy due to a low compression test. I had my car tuned at a shop that specializes in Evo's; they did their own compression test and I come to figure out that the engine IS healthy and that the previous reading was most likely due to a bad gauge. I went back to Car Code to discuss the situation and they tested the gauge and realized it was their error and gave me a full refund on all the tests. Great customer service, which is hard to come by with car shops lately. Another great thing to note: I come here for my oil changes and they were quick to notify me of things I wouldnt have spotted if I wasnt paying any attention which saved me $$ in the long run. My Porsche 911S batter died. Called Walnut Auto Care and I was amazed. They arranged to send a person with a new battery to my house. Excellent service as they got me car going again. I also went to them for an oil change for my Porsche. They are very knowledgeable about the work they do on German and Italian vehicles and I saved money. I've been trying to find a reputable mechanic shop and I found one! Walnut Auto Care will be my one stop shop for all my auto care needs. Once I got there I was greeted by the wonderful staff and was offered a beverage while you wait to get my car inspected. According to the dealership the lower motor mount was cracked and needed it to be replaced. I found this shop on the way back and decided to stop and check it out since the reviews were so great. They advice me that the motor mount is not damaged and nothing was wrong with it. The technician recommend the fuel injection cleaning, however, it wasn't mandatory. I was so grateful with the service that they provided me that I agreed to it. My car is running better than ever; the idling is stable and doesn't shake as much either. I would recommend anyone who is having car trouble to visit Walnut Auto Care. They're Honest and trustworthy individuals who care more about customer service and your experience then making a buck. read more

Really young and friendly crowd here. Came in because all my lights were on while I drove past at 4:50 on a Friday when they were about to close. Louis helped me without question and took my car in. He was very friendly and informative and wasn't trying to pressure me into buying anything that wasn't necessary. Said they needed me to leave the car in over night since they were closing and he drove me home personally. He then picked me up the following morning after updating me with what they were fixing. And now for the thought process behind that exuberant opinion: I have a fear of trying out new auto repair shops, but if the car needs work, the car needs work. So I checked Yelp and came across this place with stellar reviews. Sometimes perfect ratings can lead you wrong, but in this instance it was spot on - I felt comfortable and taken care of every step of the way. Car problems are a huge pain and oftentimes very costly, but I can tell that the employees here don't try to upsell you. In fact, the opposite is true! They make a point of recommending only what you actually need and are honest about telling you what can definitely wait. Great shop. Highly recommended! Great service with an honest staff. I took my 05 Tacoma to the shop because another shop had screwed up on some work (wrong fluid level in my sealed transmission). The shop was recommended by a friend who is a mechanic in Irvine at a highly rated shop. The front counter girl was friendly and professional. I met Geoffrey who was the mechanic that worked on my car. He was very detailed and showed me and informed me on what was going on with my truck. He explained the correct process on how to fill my transmission (has to be at a specific temp measured with a sensor). He give me a very reasonable quote for the job that was the lowest out of everywhere that I've called. He also did an overall inspection of my truck. They were quick, professional, and the price was great. I used to drive all the way to Irvine from Rowland heights just for auto repair. I've been needing an oil change for the past week, but wasn't able to get it done on the previous weekend. I have a 2009 Toyota Corolla. I actually yelped this place yesterday and found that it's right across from my workplace! So location wise it was very convenient for me to go to. I had sent a quote request and was immediately answered in 2 minutes (other places I've requested a quote from either took an entire day or never even replied). I brought in my car at 1:30pm, and had the following taken care of: Synthetic Oil change Tire Rotation Tire Pressure and overall car inspection. In total the price came out to be just over $75, which is a really good deal! The receptionist who had helped me was very nice and friendly. They got it done by 4:30pm, which was fine for me since I didn't get off work until afer 5pm. They also included a free air freshener (which, by the way, smells really good. I think they had said it was squash). Overall, I had a wonderful experience and will definitely be coming back here in the future! read more

Came in for an oil change and left with more problems. Right after the oils change my radiator started to leak fluid and oils started to leak from my engine. Told them about it and they said oh that was already there. I was like no I did not have these problems until I brought the car here. Great customer service! I was running flat and Car Code was the nearest to my location. I was greeted with a smile and the girl in the reception was very accommodating. I ordered new tire but had to cancel my order upon learning that i have a warranty. The Store Manager was very helpful and did not charge me anything. Their staff replaced my flat tire with my spare tire so I can drive back to work safely! Kudos to Car Code! read more

I found these hero's on yelp and my neighbor recommend them, they saved my insanity, fixed my computer issues with my truck in a matter of minutes, I had been to a few shops, and was told some crazy stuff, so I decided to go to the dealer when the told me the price, I nearly lost it ,I new it was a simple fix with tool, these guys are my hero's the guy at the front was super cool to talk to no BS just straight can't fix it no charge, man I couldn't Believe it, and the technician cane out he had class and very polish and polite. I needed my differential mounts swapped to solid diff mounts. It's a job very few places will do and the ones that do usually ask for some ridiculous amount. They accepted the job at a very fair price but had some difficulties. They still powered thru and completed the job even past their closing time. Been going to the same auto shop for the past decade and finally decided to try a new one for an oil change. Randomly decided on Car Code based in yelp reviews. The shop is fairly new and looked very clean. Performed a service A on my car. A link was sent to me on my car's inspection with photos included on the things I need to change or fix. Tuck, the guy that helped me out was very knowledgeable and explained to me in detail the issues I had with my car and the repairs I needed. With an appointment, it took about an hour to get everything done. There's tv and coffee in the waiting lounge, but the sofa was very uncomfortable. ***second visit*** Made an appointment for repairs. Since this time it would take longer, they offered shuttle service to take me home while my car was there. Louis was great and his service was exceptional. He was able to answer all my questions and had my car ready in time for work. read more
