When we arrived, we were quickly welcomed by the shop's owner and only employee, TJ. He told us about the history of the car and disclosed that the radio wasn't working right off the bat. He let us know that he wouldn't sell the car before fixing the issue and that he was already in the process. He shut down the shop to take us out for a test drive and not once did we feel pressured to purchase the car. When we asked if we could take the car to a mechanic, he offered to take it for us (requiring him again to shut down the shop). After our mechanic assured us that the car was in great shape and TJ worked out the radio, we let him know we were interested in purchasing the car. He happily held on to the car for us despite multiple other offers and worked with our schedule as we are not from the Hayward area. Although TJ was not willing to negotiate the price of the car, we agreed that it was already priced in a great position and appreciated that he was open and honest about fixing the radio. After we purchased the car, we realized there was an issue with the new radio and contacted TJ immediately. He apologized sincerely and helped us fix it, even though our contact listed the car as is. We got to know TJ fairly well throughout our car buying experience and would recommend his business to anyone looking to purchase a used vehicle. He is kind, honest, and a great businessman to work with.
