Ask for Latisha! She's awesome. All employees here are great they really help to get what you want. I have a 2013 Kia Optima. I told them what kind of car I wanted what color and everything else. I've had it for two years and haven't had any problems read more

I wouldn't reccomend ANYONE go here! They sold my 18 year old son a complete pos!! It was in the shop the first week he had it! He brought it in and they claimed they fixed it but we recently found out they did not! Its an extremely pricey fix and Alex the manager literally could not care less! He hasn't even had the car for 9 months! Alex refuses to give me the invoice from the issue he claims he fixed! Obviously because he never fixed the issue!! We just had to contact an attorney! I would stay far away from this place if you care anything about having a reliable vehicle! I would give zero stars if I could! They took advantage of a child!! read more

RUN FAR FAR AWAY! This dealership is a rip off. First off, their cars are older than the dealerships down the street, they have more mileage on them & the prices are marked up higher than neighboring dealerships. Now some background... my parents purchased a suburban a few years back. About 6 months in they had to take it in for services. Fast forward 2-3 years, my parents are still making car payments for a car that has been undriveable since December 2017. Now... moving forward to me and my husbands short and brief experience. We walk into the lot and ask a few questions. Ask the guy if he's willing to work with us and he barely sparked any interest in doing that lol. We turn around and start walking away, then he tried to mark the price down a few hundred and insisted on having us test drive. I say no thank you & then he starts to insist that we run our credit to see what he can work out. HUGE HELL NO! Then he tried to say that we can give our report to any other dealership to use. What a clown! read more

I bought a car from this dealership for my brother and we were very happy with the process. It only took us about couple hours and they were able to get my brother fianancing as well with a very low interest rate. it;s been over 2 months and car runs great with no problem very professional and nice staff, i am very surprise when i read other customers comments read more

I wouldn't even give one star the first gentleman we spoke to was nice. But his brother in-law the jolly round man at the front desk lost my mothers check for a very large amount. Then had the nerve to ask me why I was mad like excuse me you just lost my mothers signed check for a large amount. And then had all the ghetto ratchet receptionists talk poorly of me when I left the room as my mother was still sitting there. Saying how you gonna let your daughter tell you how to spend your money. They found her check and we left. I will never go here again and I will not recommend this place to a single soul. read more

This is my 2nd time getting a car from here. And although they can be a LITTLE persistent it seems to pay off. The first time I came in my boyfriend and I got a Mazda 6i 2012. They worked with us on a down payment. Found us the best bank possible to handle our loan. The 2nd time I came In Which was in August 2019, I was all over the fence with what I wanted but David and George was patient and stuck with me the entire day and I do mean the ENTORE day. They helped me find the right car insurance at the best price and again worked with me on my down payment. They are very good at what they do and don't try and pressure you Into just picking the most expensive car on their lot. If you're in need of a new car used, KJ AUTO is the place to come. Their options are good and the staff go above and beyond. THANKS GUYS. I'll be back soon for my SUV. :) read more

I got approved in less 20 min, they listened to what I wanted no pressure got me a good monthly payment and they already deal with my insurance lady so it was so easy and FAST! thank you!!!! So Blessed! I don't have good credit or a lot of money so I am more than thankful. I am a big Yelper if you view my profile and I believe In customer service. Thank you. read more

Me and my brother both got cars from this used car store. Mine a little while ago but his was just a couple of weeks ago. Both our experiences were very good and pretty easy. The staff was very friendly and not pushy. They let us look around without hovering over us. We asked questions and they had all the answers for us regarding prices, the carfax, and down payment amounts to make an affordable monthly payment. Both of us had a ding or two on our credit but they were able to find us financing that was within budget. They have a great selection of cars, clean premises, and knowledgeable staff. If you are in the market for a good used car check them out, you will not be disappointed. read more

KJ Auto Sales - Chevy Traverse - Used Car Dealers Near Me - Hayward, California

DO NOT GO HERE!! I bought a 2006 Chevy Equinox from them in October, 2011. Left the lot and was SUPER HAPPY because I got the vehicle I wanted and it seemed to be just fine! 3 days later, I'm leaving a friends house (who just so happens to be a mechanic thankfully) and he calls me to tell me that I'm leaking transmission fluid down the whole block and I need to park RIGHT NOW before I blow my transmission because if that much fluid is on the ground, then that means nothing is getting to my transmission. I call KJ Auto and notify them so they can fix this, and they tell me they don't have a tow truck (LIARS! Saw one in the back when I bought my vehicle) and that I have to figure out a way to get it to them. I had to call my insurance company in order to have a tow truck sent out and had my vehicle towed back to the lot. The next day I called them to find out what was going on since they hadn't bothered to call me, and was told that the mechanic was out of the office until the next day. In the meantime they don't have a loaner car to give me in which case I'm jacked cause I have to get back and forth to work. The day after that, I had to call them AGAIN since they hadn't called me, and they told me it was just a hose that had come loose and they had now fixed it and I could pick my vehicle up same day. YAY right?? WRONG. I went to pick my vehicle up and when I drove it off the lot I could immediately feel something was wrong. It didn't ride the same AT ALL and seemed to hesitate when I tried to accelerate. I already had an appointment with my own mechanic the next morning so I figured I'd wait and let him tell me everything that was wrong. He did a diagnostic as well as checked all my fluids and informed me that I was 3 QUARTS LOW ON TRANSMISSION FLUID!! I drive from Oakland to San Ramon EVERY DAY so I could've blown my transmission if I hadn't went to get it checked out! He also told me that they didn't replace the hose they said they "fixed". He said they just glued it back on, and I also had several leaks in my coolant hose, my engine fan wasn't properly mounted (the brackets are missing), and I also had a bad engine mount. I wanted to take it back to KJ and tell them to forget the whole thing but I LOVE THIS TRUCK and figured because it was a used vehicle that these are the kinds of things that can be expected (I KNOW, I'm a fool. SMH) so instead of taking it back, I paid to have the things fixed myself. I then called Alex and KJ and told him about all the issues and his response? "You should've brought it back to us to fix. When are you going to send your deferred payment of $500??" WTF?? REALLY?? I told him I just had to come out the pocket OVER $500 and wasn't sending him A DAMN THING except receipts for the services I had to get on the vehicle within A WEEK OF BUYING IT. He then said he couldn't order my plates until he got that $500. I was furious at this point because my registration fees came out of my initial down payment. I HAVE IT ON PAPER so you can't hold my registration! He again told me if they didn't get the deferred payment they wouldn't order my tags. I told him order my tags or I'll take your company to court and hung up in his face. A week later I returned home from a long weekend getaway and ALEX HAD LEFT HIS BUSINESS CARD ON MY DOOR!! HE CAME TO MY FREAKING HOUSE and left a note on the back of the business card "please call me about deferred payment". Oh you mean the for the vehicle that damn near conked out on me after 3 days! I called him back and expressed to him that he better not EVER show up at my door and that he WASN'T GETTING a deferred $500 payment because of the money I had to spend out of my OWN POCKET to get the vehicle up to par. From my understanding, they HAVE to order my registration and can NOT withhold it based on a deferred payment. They can take me to court for the $500, file it with a collections agency, but they can NOT hold my tags/registration. It has now been almost A FULL YEAR since I bought my vehicle and I STILL do not have tags or registration. I've filed a complaint with the better business bureau as well as spoken with an attorney and will be taking KJ Auto to court if I don't get my tags by the end of October. read more

First and foremost if you are looking for a quality car that is reliable, this is the place to go. I should have come sooner because not only did I receive a decent car to get me through my busy daily schedule but I also received great customer service. I am a very curious person and needed a lot of questions answered before purchasing a car. Rick wss able to not only answer the questions that I had asked but he went further into detail describing the car itself as well as maintenance. I would recommend his place if you need a reliable car to get you from A to B without any concerns or questionable feelings you may be having in purchasing a car from here. Decent prices, great customer service and friendly employees, What more can you ask for read more

I bought a 2005 Nissan Altima here back in January 2011. Awesome right. Got the Carfax looked at (bc he-Alex- didn't put the print out with the rest of my paper work for a reason--read on) says it was one owner, no accidents blah blah blah Exactly on my 30 day warranty that I paid for, AC UNIT goes out-There goes about $500-Alex says I've passed my warranty. No help there. I have since then fixed a many of things in which I'm not going to waste time in typing. The cars ignition tumbler went out and BC I will never deal with KJ ever again I just figured go to the Nissan Dealer in Hayward, see what they can do about accepting it as a trade in---I get approved for trade in, everything's going smooth all up until they check the carfax report, Oh thanks Alex for showing me the CARFAX REPORT FOR THE SAME NISSAN THAT WAS NEXT TO MINE, this car has been in an accident--3 THREE previous owners and was shipped out here from Texas meaning they couldn't sell it out there--so KJ bought it. Needless to say-don't do business with these people.-CROOKS. read more

I'd give this place "0" stars if I could but daaaaaaaaaaaaaang! Went here bc we know a few people who have purchased vehicles from them. We asked to look at one of the SUV's and the guy told us okay. After we looked for at the SUV for some time...talked it over and asked the same guy about the price. He didn't seem very helpful at all. He just gave us the price and we asked how much down. He gave us how much down and wanted to know if he could work with us and he said NO!!!!!!! Rude and all. We walked out of there so quick. We had the money but we like people who would work with us. But oh well. These people are RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDE. Well, at least this guy was. That speaks for the whole company/business. It only takes one and he ruined it for the company/business as a whole. Reading through the other reviews....glad we never gave them the time & day. No thank you!!!!!!!!! read more

I have worked with Alex and his team for the last 7 years. Everytime, he treated me with respect even though my credit score has not been as good. I have referred him to my family and in total we have bought 8 cars from him over time. Their good service does not end after you buy your car. My last car had an issue 4 months after I bought it from them. Yet, he helped me out fix it. read more

So I bought a car from this place a little less than 2 months ago. I thought that this would be a nice place to buy a nice used vehicle. I suppose it would be a nice place to purchase a car if you could get your registration and license plates before the temporary registration is up. It has almost been two months and I still have yet to get my car registered and license plates on my vehicle. I called Alex after a few weeks to see what the hold up was and he assured me that I would have my license and registration the next week. Well here it is the next week and still nothing. I received a letter in the mail from my insurance company and they tell me that there is something going on with the VIN number. So I go up to KJ and talk to Alex who assured me that the insurance company was incorrect and nothing was wrong with my VIN. He told me to just disregard the letter. In the back of my mind I knew that I should not disregard the letter but Alex kept saying that he was the car dealer and dealt with the DMV all the time. He told me to come back in a few days and he would have my license and registration. Well instead of that happening Alex calls me to tell me that he received a call from the DMV and there is something wrong with the VIN!!!! He told me that I would need to take the car up to the DMV and get a VIN identification paper filled out! Well the DMV is only open on the weekdays so now I have to take off of work and go up there and then take the paper back to Alex! Oh I didn't even mention the fact that my airbag light is on and the check engine light was on. And I had to buy new tires! I mean I understand buying a new car and buying it AS IS. However if the car problems would have happened and I had plates and registration then I would not even be writing this review. I would say that this is just my luck and others should try this place out anyway IF my best friend had not bought a car from KJ just the next week after I did and she has yet to get her license plates and registration!! I believe that they never even submitted my registration application until recently and they are just a bunch of incompetent people that work at this establishment. I suggest that you don't go to this place at all!!! read more

if you allow them to check your credit, they will screw up your credit by adding five (5) hard inquiries. not one, or two, five! they stay on there for two years. thank you kj worst nightmare read more

Ok, so I bought a car from this place and initially was happy as shit,my best friend had just bought a car a week prior, we both had nothing but good things to say about KJ Auto.... UNTIL 2 weeks later I still had not received my plates or registration. After calling Alex I was told that I needed to go to the DMV to pick it up, so I leave work early to go to dmv, wait 45 min, and come to find out my paperwork was never submitted my paperwork for my reg!! So I call Alex, and he gives me a BS story saying that he did submit and would call dmv to have reg delivered to him, and still no plates. So in talking to my best friend, she was experiencing the same issues, no reg, no plates. So after about 30 days of back and forth discussions with Alex, my reg finally came, I go to pick it up, and yet no plates, after asking about them he indicated that I needed to go back to dmv..WTF!! So the other guy (his brother in law) says ..."your plates are already on the car" again WTF! So we go outside and and take off the the temp plates, and whoop there it is! My plates...so I have been driving for 30 days and had my plates all along! REALLY!!! Would never recommend this place 2 anyone! read more

When I told him I didn't have the extra $500 and can I have my license back and that I would come back tomorrow the owner walks in and says give them their fuckn license back and get the fuck outta here Then he picks up a stapler and charges her a WOMAN!!!!!! Don't go to this dealer save your money and energy this people don't deserve your business as soon as something goes wrong on their part and you find out they'll blame it on you or give you the run around read all of the reviews on this company before buying and keep in mind if you have bad credit you definitely should not go here they will get you a car but your interest rate will be high as fuck which they profit off of I repeat do not buy or trade In they will sale your trade in to a friend and never take it out your name and when the dmv charges you every year for registration fees they won't do anything about it but sit on their butts! They don't take responsibility for anything they just take advantage too bad I'm taking them to court with paperwork and texts proving they messed up and didn't do anything to fix it just blamed me!!!
