I dropped my wife off to get 'her' car after the work was done and within seconds of driving it away from the station the car started bucking like crazy. She went back and the mechanic refused to test drive it. The owner was called in and said it wasn't their fault! He got nasty, saying I needed a shrink!? The car was no longer drivable. Suddenly I needed a new or rebuilt transmission. I had to get rid of it. I've never left a bad review for any business, but after denying culpability and losing thousands of dollars for a temporary rental and needing to go get another car, well, there it is. I plan on taking them to small claims court. DON'T TRUST THESE GUYS.

There was not an area in the car that was not immaculate. If you go anywhere else to have your car detailed, you probably are wasting your money.

Well, once I met Laura and Paul, I knew the drive had been well worth it. Such warm and friendly people who build an immediate sense of trust that your'e going to get great quality work at a very fair price that's completed when promised. And that's exactly the kind of 5-star experience that I had in getting my badly crunched car roof repaired at Brookside Auto. I really could not recommend this shop any more highly. And should I ever need body work again in the future, I will happily take that two hour round trip drive again to have that work done here. Thank you Paul, Laura and all the guys in the shop for such wonderful work and service.

Not knowing if this was overkill or really needed, i called Tony to explain my situation 2 hours away and asking his advise. He was happy to talk to me and gave his concurrence to dealers's recommendations that it made sense to do it at 100K as preventive maintnence. Too bad i wasnt closer to schedule with Tony. Will definitely continue to use tony for future repairs/maintnence when vehical is back with Dad in Lynbrook !!! Thanks Tony!

It can feel like you're back in kindergarten sometimes, walking into new places with new people where you don't really know where to start - 'hello, I'm new here, can you help me?' It can be intimidating as a newcomer to a neighborhood when you're trying to set up all your new connections. You're not sure where to go, who to trust, or whether it will be worth spending your hard earned money somewhere. I am a first time car owner, and needed to set up a mechanic - starting with my NY State inspection. I'll make this very clear - I know nothing, absolutely nothing about cars or inspections and I had no idea what to expect. So, naturally, when I saw five star review after five star review for Ralph and his team, I knew this place had to at least be a good place to start. Ralph is just as affable, warm, and down to earth as his reviews describe. While I was waiting for my inspection to finish, a regular customer came in. He wasn't quite sure about something on his statement, and I overheard Ralph helping him break down his 'balance owed' with the patience and kindness that only a seasoned professional (or parent) could display. Howie went to fetch my car in the freezing cold - even though I'd parked it a little ways away because I couldn't figure out the street parking - and had me on my way in fifteen minutes. You're a champ, Howie, sorry about the walk! I always always try to buy local, and support local business owners. They are the fabric that make up our communities, and to be quite honest, it's just nicer to deal with someone who talks to you like a human, rather than just another customer in a multi million dollar corporation. These guys are a shining example of what it is to be a really great local business in a bustling community. I will be delighted to return to this shop. Thank you Ralph and team.

Once I got to the auto shop, they quickly made me sign papers and said they would notify my insurance of the claim. They held my car in their yard for 7 days after my accident charging storage fee of $500 a day without any justification. They placed 72 hours hold on the car from Monday-Thursday 10/8/2026 saying it was a ESA hold since its a electrical vehicle being a Tesla. I researched everywhere, even called the Malvern Police Station regarding this hold and no one has an idea what the hold this. This body shop held my car hostage so they can rake up storage charge per day. Even with the 72hr hold, they car was supposed to be released on Thursday, when I called them and they would not release it. On Friday morning I called my insurance and Copart the company which was supposed to pick up the car they said the Body shop has yet to provide the charges against the car to be released. I called the body shop, spoke to Chris and Dominque requesting as to why they haven't sent the charges to my insurance first thing they said "the insurance is lying, we already sent it over" which was a lie. I also called Copart and they also said they have not received any charges. Finally, at 1pm they sent over the charges to my insurance which was $6,092 for towing and holding the car for 5 days. How is this amount justified, and I am still waiting for an itemized invoice breakdown of the charges which they never provided. They held my car on purpose till Friday when it was too late for Copart to pick it up and it moved onto the weekend so that additional charges can be made. Finally on Monday 10/12/26 they settled with my insurance for $5,817 how they came up with this amount as today I do not know. I checked other towing companies and storage charges for the maximum fee is $200 per day and towing is $1500. Now this $5,817 is being deducted from my vehicle value for absolutely no reason other than this shop being a scam, greedy and bunch of crooks. In my opinion, these practices deserve a serious investigation by the appropriate authorities.
