Soon after we all arrived I got up from our chosen table to order at the counter. The young female barista was making a drink and Colin saw me. Eventually I went to go sit back down because I assumed they were busy. 15 minutes later Colin came over to our table, left a menu and muttered something. Soon after that, he came back again in the middle of our meeting and muttered something again. He repeated in a very agitated tone, "You guys can hang out but you have to order something". Two of us told him we tried to order earlier, to which he replied something along the lines of "well we're wide open now". I had genuinely never seen or heard a barista act this way. I thought he's just having a bad day from the way he's walking around the shop, so I told him I'd go right up to order. Later, Colin generously brought over my toast and I said "thank you so much" and "thank you" as he tossed my napkins on the table. He did all of this in silence.
