Good fast service. The lobster roll is excellent, and good for a light lunch. The coconut cream pie is real!!!

You can't beat being right on the main street *and* right on the water, which you can see from a few different viewpoints. When you enter at street level it's a shop, with wine and a selection of vintage cookbooks for sale. There's a big open room with comfy chairs and huge windows that look right out over the harbor, which I can imagine being a cozy vantage point in the fall or winter. In summer the main action is actually downstairs--yes, that steep staircase is the right direction--where there's a bar and more tables, a corner for musicians, and a wonderful outdoor bar setup where you can perch on a stool and gaze right out at the water. And you're not going to want to leave, because friendly owner Laura knows her stuff and will help you find the absolutely *perfect* glass of wine from an inventive selection of bottles and glasses, as well as daily specials like sangria. I appreciate how she asked what I like and then came up with something I hadn't had before that was delicious. You can nosh on charcuterie boards, olives, quiche, chocolate, and other little snacks like that, which to my mind = dinner, so why go anywhere else? In the two nights I was there I enjoyed chatting with both locals and visitors, and quite honestly I'd return to Eastport just to spend more time at Phoenix. It's not to be missed!

The patatas bravas are always excellent, same is to be said of the tuna tartar or ceviche, whichever they have on the menu. I don't think I have ever eaten a plate that I did not like. I have my favourites, as one does, but everything that I have tried truly amuses my bouche. Servers are always punctual. I have never felt I have waited long for any plate or drink. The wine selection is above satisfactory, and they shake up a mean cocktail for those who prefer luscious tastes of liquor. They have a good selection of beer, if memory serves me correctly, but wine is much better suited for the food they serve. The whole restaurant is very nice. It was once a house that was converted to its current form. If you are lucky enough to be seated at the outside table with the fireplace, you are definitely in the best seats in the house. The view on the patio is stunning, as you gaze into the Passamaqoddy Bay. It is not always possible to get a reservation there, as it is rightfully seen as the pearl of the oyster that is the Saint Andrews food scene.

Having said this, we sat outside and enjoyed a lovely view of the bay. The food was beautifully presented with a nice creative menu. Service was excellent (thanks Patrick), and the setting ambience was lovely. What more can you ask for? Call ahead and make reservations - it's a popular restaurant.

Upon arrival, we inquired inside and voila! They've made a special lobster combo. For $50/whole lobster, it comes with a roll and a corn. Add $25 for another whole lobster. Dessert included too. It took us 3 hours from lining up to finish! Long three hours but it's very well worth the wait. Lobsters were very fresh, butter isn't necessary. Juices poured out as soon as we cracked the lobster open. Shania and the manager were very friendly making our long wait worthwhile. The restaurant isn't big and doesn't have much seating, not enough for passengers of a cruise ship. On normal days, they don't serve lobsters and serving this small town should be enough.

I dove into a Rueben sandwich and my wife got a super fresh haddock sandwich as we sat out on the deck on a beautifully sunny day. It was very crowded at the bar and on the deck but that didn't hinder the speedy service and friendly faces helping. The blueberry pie was delicious and the prices are very affordable even seeing the lobster roll on the menu at an affordable price. If you are looking for a place to grab a bite in the center of Eastport, try this place out, I don't think you will be disappointed.
