It has been a year since I have dined at this establishment, though I must say, from all the…read moreeateries in Saint Andrews, this is by far my favourite place to chow down. The patatas bravas are always excellent, same is to be said of the tuna tartar or ceviche, whichever they have on the menu. I don't think I have ever eaten a plate that I did not like. I have my favourites, as one does, but everything that I have tried truly amuses my bouche. Servers are always punctual. I have never felt I have waited long for any plate or drink. The wine selection is above satisfactory, and they shake up a mean cocktail for those who prefer luscious tastes of liquor. They have a good selection of beer, if memory serves me correctly, but wine is much better suited for the food they serve. The whole restaurant is very nice. It was once a house that was converted to its current form. If you are lucky enough to be seated at the outside table with the fireplace, you are definitely in the best seats in the house. The view on the patio is stunning, as you gaze into the Passamaqoddy Bay. It is not always possible to get a reservation there, as it is rightfully seen as the pearl of the oyster that is the Saint Andrews food scene.

This was highly recommended to me for dinner. What can I say, it has all the ingredients for a…read moregreat dining experience (unless it's really hot weather - then they need to upgrade their AC.). Having said this, we sat outside and enjoyed a lovely view of the bay. The food was beautifully presented with a nice creative menu. Service was excellent (thanks Patrick), and the setting ambience was lovely. What more can you ask for? Call ahead and make reservations - it's a popular restaurant.

Excellent find. Fantastic meal. Heck of a good time…read more Lots of beers and booze to choose from nestled in all warm and cozy in the eclectic environment of Bar Harbor, ME. I had the burger special which was fucking fantastic! I was getting pretty tired of seafood at this point and it was the most refreshing change of pace. It was one of those just in time food experiences. C went for the crab cakes. What a gorgeous version of crab cakes they were! Fancy pants presentation and all things considered some of the best crab cakes we had on our trip. Bartender was really friendly and was super proud of their whiskey/bourbon collection. He did point out a few bottles to us that were really quite special and hard to come across. They had some Penelope variants that were unseen to me. I would come back in a heartbeat. If I lived nearby, I would be here all of the time. There were a ton of interesting menu items I would like to try. '26 - 26

I had the scallop street corn dish with seared scallops in a dish of homemade creamed corn which I recommend. Others in our party had the lobster roll, the French dip, the fried haddock sandwich and a burger. All agreed that the food was very good and we would stop there again.

I have been to this restaurant only a few times, but am extremely satisfied each time by the selection of dishes. The service differs each time, but wait staff are really great overall. I recently had a not so great experience with the hosts, where they were very dismissive, so that definitely lowers my rating and inclination to come back. They have a great selection of starters including soups and salads. We always try their seasonal compressed fruit salad, and their soups are good as well. We started out with complimentary bread and blueberry butter, which was nothing to write home about. They also serve different aperitif which we love. For entrees they have great steaks, but this time I tried the scallops and they were perfect. Loved the crispy potatoes and onions as well. My partner got the prosciutto wrapped cod, which was a little dry and maybe overcooked. I think the prices here are quite reasonable, but it is more of a place you come for the experience and views. We definitely recommend as a special place to eat while visiting the island, but the recent service has definitely made me less inclined to visit again.

We had just gotten off a whale watch, and it was close to many restaurants' closing times…read more Everywhere we tried to go was too close to closing to let us in or they were closed. This was our only option before a 2 1/2 hour drive to Halifax. The service was good. Our server was very nice. But the food was... mediocre. The salad dressing came in little Kraft packets. The meals came with two veggie sides and mashed potatoes. The veggies -- carrots and parsnips -- tasted either canned or boiled or both. The mashed potatoes were clearly instant. I can't remember the last time I went to a restaurant and had food that was lower quality than I make in my own kitchen. The scallops were decent which was the only consolation as we had been looking forward to scallops from Digby since before our trip. The restaurant could also use a refresh. The inside looks like it's 1986. The air conditioning was also messed up and the inside of the restaurant was so cold I had to go get a long sleeved shirt from the car. And I am never cold. I rarely leave bad reviews, but I had to tell my honest opinion. I didn't even take pictures of our food which goes to show how disappointed I was.
