2 pieces fish and 6 shrimp

Eh.... Not bad but the only thing I finished were the green beans. It wasn't my preference.

Lemon pepper grilled white fish w/shrimp, green beans+mac. Comes w/ rice and hush puppies or breadstick. (Ate one hush puppy already).

I had a good first experience from Captain D's recently. I got some coupons in the mail which made me interested in the place. I ordered the grilled white fish plate which comes with rice and choice of breadstick or two hush puppies (I got the latter). For sides, I ordered the mac and cheese and green beans with an unsweetened iced tea for my beverage (sold separately). I also got a grilled shrimp skewer on the side. I pre-ordered and paid online with no issues. My food was ready for pick-up on time, and even though I was almost an hour late in ATL traffic, my food was still warm and fresh and tea was still cold. Everything was pretty tasty. The fish and shrimp were even better than expected for a fast food joint. The mac and cheese was creamy and good, but tastes pretty much like every other fast food mac out there. The green beans were good but tasted canned. I liked the hush puppies which reminded me of Red Lobster's cheddar bay biscuits in terms of seasoning. Overall, a solid meal and excellent, friendly service. I would definitely order from this location again.

Yeah I went today and it's the first time I've been able to actually get food due to the wait. I've been three other times before this go around. Every other time it's over a 20 minute wait in both the drive through AND inside. I decided to come today since I am driving through; I had forgotten the wait is ridiculous but I instantly remembered once I got in line for the drive through. I was mad because at a certain point in the drive through lane, they have it sectioned off from the Goodwill across the street so if you want to get out of line, you can't. It's Sunday as I type this so it was a slow day for them. Sadly there slow day still had me waiting for 35 minutes for food. Took me 10 just to get up to the box to order. I've never been to a Captain D's that takes FOREVER to get you your food. I turned my car off twice waiting in this line. The person heading the line waited so long for her food that she received hers after me. She got so pissed, she got out of her car and marched inside. Check your food before you leave!! I can't stress that enough. I noticed a few people taking their orders back inside after waiting forever just to get it. You can tell they cook everything in the same oil that hasn't been changed at all. One of my fish was fried and kinda black and my fries tasted like fish. 10.41 for a messed up meal. That was my last time here, i'll be going to the sonic down the street next time.

This is "supposed" to be the lobster roll combo.

I think the photo speaks for itself. I didn't know this was a create your own sandwich. And they definitely meant rolls. Two bites is all you are going to get.

It's located right in the heart of downtown Tucker, with plenty of parking on the side and a spacious interior, including a private dining room for large parties. We came around 2:30 PM, after the lunch rush, so it wasn't too busy. The setup is cafeteria-style -- you grab a tray, walk down the line, and let the servers know what you'd like. Everything is à la carte, with entrées around $6-$8 and sides about $2.50-$3, so you're looking at roughly $15 per person for a full meal -- not bad at all. Everyday they have a different set menu of what they serve so you get a mixture. We ordered a bit of everything. I'm a big meatloaf fan, so I had to try it -- but unfortunately, it didn't live up to my hopes. It didn't look very appetizing and the texture was overly ground and slightly gritty because it was a bit dry. It comes with your choice of gravy or marinara sauce, but honestly, I would've preferred some classic ketchup on top instead. The fried fish was mostly batter with very thin fillets, so there wasn't much substance there either. The country fried chicken, however, was the highlight -- large portion, well-cooked, and flavorful. Just note that once you add the gravy, it loses that crispy texture and becomes soggy. The sides were decent but nothing memorable, and the bread and hush puppies were pretty dry. Since everything is counter-service, there isn't much staff interaction. You pay upfront, find your own seat, and when you're done, you just leave your tray -- there aren't any trash cans to clear your own table. Overall, the experience was just okay. It's a neat place with history and friendly vibes, but the food didn't quite hit the "soul" level I was hoping for. There are definitely other country-style spots I'd try before coming back.

Coming into it, around early dinner time hour, it was fair to say a slow evening for a Saturday. This provided us a fair chance to be able to not feel rushed during this experience. Server and food runners were on point. Server knew the menu and what to suggest as popular meals and what his favorites were. He also informed us that food was made from scratch and the ribs were already sold out! Bummer as that would've been a go to choice! The restaurant it self seemed cleaned and a sleek look to it. We chose 2 fried chicken meals and steak and frite. These dishes were to brag about 100%, wish I could've met the head chef and supervisor on shift to let them how wonderful the food was and that the staff have great personality and professional! This chicken meals were beyond what could've fool me as a homemade chicken made by someone's grandma! The steak was cooked to perfection that could've melted in your mouth. Due to my son's birthday, the server offered a complimentary dessert for him to have! I recommend this place or their other locations 10/10!

It's an…read moreeasy spot to take guests from out of town or just swing by for a casual weeknight dinner. The drinks are strong, the menu is varied, and the service pretty consistent. Occasionally when seated out on the patio my partner and I have waited a while for food or to see our server, but the food is always tasty. I don't fault the servers for this, they're all really accommodating, sometimes it's just that busy! The drinks are also consistently strong & delicious, our favorites are the Mason Jar Margarita and the Tucker Tea (bourbon & sweet tea). The prices for cocktails are excellent and I hope that doesn't change any time soon. For eats, my partner gets the Steak and Frites, and would like people to know that if you tell this kitchen you want it rare, it'll be very rare bordering on bloody, so if you want on the rare side without it mooing, order medium rare. The Fish & Chips are good, but I usually go for the chicken tenders because they're tender and well-seasoned, and the fries are really good too. I get it with the delicious house-made ranch. When I indulge in an appetizer it's the basket of fried jalapeños that pair great with the aforementioned ranch and is a great portion to share with friends. If you aren't into the spicy vibe you can get a basket that's half jalapeños, half pickles which is equally tasty. I've brought plenty of people here and from the salads to the burgers, they've been consistently happy with the food. For desserts, they change daily- check the big chalkboard on the wall for the day's offerings. They source them from Southern Sweets Bakery so you know they're delicious. Parking is a little iffy but not terrible, you have the options of Main St, the parking lot around back, or the strip of parking across the street and between those options it tends to be fairly easy to find a free spot. Give them a shot!

My husband got wings which were listed as jumbo. They were an ok size, but definitely not jumbo. He did like the taste of the hot wings. I got the southwestern quesadilla which was ok. The quesadilla was not completely filled to capacity. I wouldn't order it again though. The chips and salsa that came with it were terrible. The chips tasted like those fried chip things you put in your won ton soup at a Chinese restaurant and the salsa was inedible. It tasted like it had gone bad or they just make a gross salsa. The best part was the fried basket with pickles and jalapeños. Those were very good except $10 seemed a bit high for this appetizer. $7 or $8 would make more sense. If we ever go back I would try a hamburger as I hear they are huge. But, then again, the wings weren't jumbo.
