Me and my boyfriend were in the area for a yelp event and decided we wanted some beer after, like always! We found this place on yelp, and it is so CUTE! Parking was a breeze! It's in such a nice lot as well. A lot of food options surrounding the area! When you walk in there's multiple TVs and lots of benches. They even have cool barrels are tables and a few high tables. With the beers there's a lot of craft beer options! A LOT of different IPAs! But sadly for this HEFE lover they didn't have any Hefes on tap or in the bottle. But it's okay! Because I got a sour ale.... I think my life has changed! It was a peach strawberry sour ale that I found in their bottle section, it was delicious! It was $13 for a bottle compared to a $7 glass of IPA that my boyfriend, but it was good, so good that me and my boyfriend split another one. One thing I loved about this place that I haven't seen at another other beer house or tap room is that have a huge selection of board games! Me and my boyfriend got uno and we played like 5 rounds while sipping on our beers, it was FUN! read more

I tried the ciders my friends ordered and they were a bit sweet for me but it seems like there's a good amount of variety on tap. Great spot for craft/specialty beer in the Dublin area! It's a small but intimate venue and they rotate around their 18 beers on tap, so you can always come in and try something new! They have a good selection of board games and a few TVs to watch a game or two! If you're feeling the munchies, they allow you to bring in food from nearby (good number of food spots in the shopping area i.e. Tralee Village). So while they don't offer any snacks, you can always bring in some of your own! I usually get pizza from Extreme Pizza which goes well with a chilled beer. First visit was when Bart was on strike. Played a bit of hooky before coming home and got to experience the early/mid afternoon crowd. It was a friendly bunch. Bar tenders strike the perfect balance of being engaging while giving you your space. Highlights: They have a bring your own food & games policy. I've seen everything brought in from a bag of chips to Taqueria Los Pericos to a pack of cards. Closest bar to my house and it's only a couple bucks for an uber back home. This is an interesting place. I struggled to compare it to a bar, beer garden, alehouse, etc. It seems to be a bit of its own, and that's not a bad thing! It is small, but intimate is ok. It's really not overly inviting. Not very comfy seating. Some benches and some metal stools. Given the space, I think some old leather furniture, coffee tables would be a bit more open and inviting. It is very local feeling. The kind of place people likely know each other or at least have seen each other a few times here or around town. The beer selection is pretty amazing. Lots of IPAs. Lots of local stuff. Also a lot of sours which is def not my thing. If it's yours this is your spot. I like to try beers, and the nice thing is that you can buy in 5oz increments which is great because you can try out a few different ones. Or if you have impulse control issues like me, you can place yourself. They also have a fridge which is a great place to grab a beer or two to go. After wanting to go to this place for so long, I feel like I might have overhyped it in my head. So first of all, the parking can suck sometimes so just keep that as a heads up. When you walk in the place it seems kinda small but when we went on a Saturday night it wasn't packed. It was a good amount of people and plenty of space to be comfortable. It's literally at the intersection of Dougherty and Dublin Blvd (under the apartment buildings) so its pretty central in the town, which is great. The beer selection was decent in my opinion and liked both things that I got. They offer a variety of sizes, which is good if you want to try a few. They allow outside food which is really nice and there is a selection of games you can play (Uno, Cards Against Humanity, some weird dice game, etc.). This creates a nice chill atmosphere that somehow attracts a variety of different people (which in my opinion was really cool)! The bartender was nice...I guess. It seemed as if we were inconveniencing him since he was talking with his friends who were at the bar and ignored us while we were just standing there semi- confused trying to get his attention. That definitely put me off a bit...which is why I give it three instead of four stars. Would probably go again, but thats just because I like beer and its conveniently located for me. read more

I was getting new tires across the street and was so glad to see this place on Yelp. If not for Yelp, there would be no way you'd see this place because it's across the street and tucked away inside the plaza. Lots of specialty/craft beers on tap including some pretty exclusive ones so you'll just have to stop by to see what they have. Some beers might just be there for a couple days depending on how many kegs they have and how popular they are. Friendly vibes with a laid back environment. Great little neighborhood bar, with a friendly and laid back atmosphere. It's in between Nothing Bunt Cakes and All the Perks Coffee shop. Happy hour is from 4-7pm, and is celebrated with $1 off all pints! No food here but it's just a door down or so to Fresh Millions (salads, paninis, stir fry bowls), pizza or bunt cakes. Several people brought in food grabbed a beer and hung out, no questions asked-- so don't be shy! They have kegs and bottles for sale as well. You can BYOG and order pizza from inside the complex, or bring in a salad or sushi and they're cool about it. Cause this place is strictly brews. Fun place for after work, the guys who tend the bar are knowledgeable as any connoisseur, cause they have a decent number of micro brews. Look at the boards behind the bar to get an idea of what they're serving, cause it changes. Super chill, pretty small, three tv's to watch games on, clean. They have beer tastings and lots of different IPA's to choose from. I had the "Catch a Fire" and it was so good. Surprisingly light and fruity for an IPA. It had a hint of grapefruit to me. If you want to just chill in a bar but you don't want to deal with the loud typical bar noises, Caps & Taps is a great place to go. They also played hella good music when I went. A lot of old school hip hop of Warren G, Regulators, Tupac, Fugees, Snoop, some Lil Wayne. Made me want to go clubbing. You can also order pizza from Pizza Extreme around the corner and have it brought to you from what I was told. read more

Nice cool, small spot in Dublin. We wanted to try the sampler that has four 5 oz tastings for $10-$11 depending on which ones you choose. I was happy with all 4 of my selections and glad I did the sampler. They have about 15 beers on tap and all different kinds. Their 16oz cups go for the $6-$7 range and you can get their 10oz for about $4. It is a good place to go to with one or two people. I wouldn't recommend going here with a large group. There are tables, but space is limited so keep that in mind. It's nice that Extreme Pizza is next to it, so you can pick up a pizza to drink with your beer. read more

The long awaited craft beer bar in Dublin. With 16 beers on tap and all of them in the 5 gallon variety, the beer is fresh and has constant turnover. Even if you go there every day you are bound to find a minimum one or two new beers on tap. The interior is open and simple, allowing you to socialize with friends and strangers. The owners and bar tenders, Brian and Greg, might also be the nicest people on earth. They know their beer and aren't abrasive in sharing their knowledge (characteristic of some other beer bars). How have I not written a review about this place? I've been coming here since they've opened, maybe not as often as I would like, but definitely one of my go to beer places in the tri-valley. I met one of the owners, Brian, back when Altamont first opened in Livermore at one of their grand opening events. He told me about this little tap room that he planned on opening in Dublin, and how he had the hook up for all this good and hard to get beer. So I was excited, and although I had to wait a bit for them to open due to unforeseen delays, it was worth it! The beer selection, even though they only have 15 beers on tap (compared with other places which may have more), is excellent because they always have something that I've never had or something that I really like. I remember when they first opened I told Brian I really like Jolly Pumpkin brewery and he has stocked his fridge with a number of their bottles ever since. He's always got one or two sours running, a couple strong ales or barrel aged stouts, and a nice range of IPAs/Pales/Pils/Reds/Wheat/etc. They have an impressive bottle selection including Evil Twin and Jolly Pumpkin which is not too common out here. Plus everyone who works there is friendly and will definitely help you find a beer that fits your tastes. My only complaint? They're not within walking distance of me. That and the bar is a bit small, during certain times it can be very crowded. (So Brian if you're reading this, once you've made enough money, open up a bigger, 2nd location, preferably within stumbling distance of me). read more

I love this place simply because I can come in here and grab a beer with whatever i want to bring in and eat that day and chill. The chalkboard wall beer selection is always changing and I'm always almost going to choose anything Altamont beer related, but with so many choices, it might be hard next time. I have been waiting for this place for years!! I have lived in the east bay all of my life and I love going to places like the Trappist in Oakland and OL in Walnut Creek but I never liked having to drive 30 min for good beer. This place being in Dublin is great! For the beer they have a great choice of Belgium style beers to your local companies! 12 taps and a good amount of bottles in the fridge. I love the vibe of this place its not to tavern like were you feel like you are on a romantic date with your guy friends cause you are lit by candle light but not to over the top bro like a wild wings were everywhere you turn there is a TV. They have three small TV's with sports on for those who like that but it does not distract you. The only thing that could make this better is if they serve food, but they are new so I can see why its just beer for now. They will let you bring in food from any place around though which is great! Quick service and a beer in your hand... The Beer Great assortment of craft beers and they offer tastes if not sure what to get. Also the beer fights are a fantastic option for the first time customer. The Food Okay it is a simple craft beer joint, no food. Cheers for happy hour! Dollar off any draft Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 4 PM to 7 PM. Had to share a table with other folks since the place is kinda small... but they seemed happy enough to do so! This place is a quite hidden and a great place for the locals. The draft chalk display is like eye candy which makes ordering more fun. Not overly crowded during happy hour when I went which made it a great place to catch up with a friend and meet some new people. Their little quirk is that if someone owes you money for a drink, you can put it down on their giant board. The place closes relatively early and there isn't a huge bottle selection... but if I'm in the area and want some good stuff on tap, this is the place to go. read more

This place is great! it is tucked away in a little shopping/apartment complex area near Yanagi They have an excellent selection of beers on tap.. Every time I've come they've had a sour on tap and have multiple sours to choose from in the bottled selection as well. I absolutely love sour beers so this was huge for me. There are picnic tables to sit at and you can bring takeout from any place next door since they don't serve food. They also have board games that you can play. I really enjoy coming here with a small group of friends and trying a few new brews on tap. Tips - Bring friends! I bet you could pack 4-5 at a picnic table. - maybe bring some snacks or order a pizza from extreme pizza - Bring cards/cards against humanity or download the charades app - Chillax and have a beer. I could totally see why this place is popular, say you live within that mixed used building, this place could be your living room. Literally could be yours because you can come watch sports on the TV they got, drink beer and talk beer snob with the bartender. It would totally save you from having to clean your own place and have a cozy spot to hangout with your friends, you could bring your home cooked dinner down and find a beer to pair with your dinner. They have all kinds of good beers on tap and in the cooler, not so many taps that your mind is racing for air and because they don't waste space on shitty beers that is fine. Sitting on an empty pony keg might get really uncomfortable quick. If they had a think for water to clear your palate after some heavier or beers with more IBUs, and maybe some popcorn would be awesome. But if you lived like upstairs than you can just make popcorn in your own microwave. read more
