The oyster price dre me in. Just under $3 per oyster (my cutoff is $4). I was surprised a bit when I entered. It's not really British pub decor, but a few notches above that. Pictures are like an homage to English country life. There are couches that face long communal tables. But I was there early. The oysters came, and they were large. Three different sauces, lemon wedges, and a cute little bottle of hot sauce came with. I also ordered my first Pimm's Cup - so refreshing! I asked the bartender what Pimms actually is - kind of a flavored gin, he replied. There were other items on the menu I'd like to try, but it won't be for everyone. I came for a cocktail. Love the space and how it felt like an English pub. Great place to hang out and chill with your mates. The staff was warm and friendly. Menus are written on a blackboard but they also had paper menus. Cool beverages! The descriptions of their handcrafted cocktails are cheeky and fun. I tried the Pimm's Cup. It's number one on their menu because it's delicious. Fruity and strong. Watch out! My friend had the Guinness Old Fashioned. That was delicious as well. Manly with a feminine side. Definitely will return. I want to try more cocktails. read more

I LOVE Union Jack! I went for lunch and had the fish and chips, and overall the food was fantastic. The homemade ketchup is off the charts -- seriously so good! A couple of small things that are really just personal preference: I wasn't a huge fan of the dill in the homemade tartar sauce, although I know others may love it. I also would have preferred the fries a little crispier. The music was a bit too loud for lunchtime, and I didn't really love the type of music being played -- it didn't quite fit the British pub atmosphere for me. That said, I absolutely love this place. Having previously been a regular when it was a brewery, I was pleasantly surprised by the change to a British Pub. The seating and layout of the restaurant was all too familiar, but unfortunately the place wasn't too good at beating the summer heat indoors. Me and my friends found better cooling spots sitting on the outside. Also, if you plan to eat a meal indoors you're better off getting a full table over the low indoor seating. The service was decently quick and everyone worked well together to help us without orders, refills, and questions. I ended up ordering the fish and chips, and let me start off by saying how much I LOVE how they cook and season the potatoes; I pull eat them all day! The fish was pretty good too with a great flavor in the batter coating and I liked the herb mix cooked into the filet. I would definitely come back more into the evening time or a cooler day so I can further enjoy their cocktails and cuisine. read more

I was really excited visit the new neighborhood British pub. I remember loving British pubs in London for their decor, charm, and comfy foods. The decor here is nice but it's quite small so there's limited seating inside and outside. I do not suggest the couches if you plan on eating inside because the height of the tables are so low it's only really good for drinking. Outdoor seating during the day can be alright but it can be too hot or too sunny since there is limited shade and we had some flies visiting our table. I wish they offered shepherds/cottage pie on the menu. I ordered fish and chips instead but there was no option for mushed peas. It's not everyone's favorite but it's what I remember having overseas. I just saw someone post a huge side order of mushed peas but when I went they didn't have it on the menu. The homemade tartar sauce did not land well with me. I felt it lacked some more flavor and acidity. Also, there was some type of herbal stuffing in my fish? I didn't like it - it threw me off completely off. read more

We enjoyed a wonderful evening of apps and shared entrees here the other night. The menu is very authentically Brit--both food and beverage. We started with cocktails--I thoroughly enjoyed my gin old fashioned! My wife loved her Pimm's Cup. We had the following: - French fries - crispy with a delicious ketchup - mushy peas - an acquired taste but felt like we needed to try - Scotch egg - it was eggcelent (sorry) - smash burger - so delicious Loved the atmosphere out in the patio. My husband and I came here specifically to try pub food and get fish and chips. It's a cute spot, although the day we came the AC was not working and it was super hot inside the restaurant; however, they have outdoor seating which is super cute. We got bangers and mash and the fish and chips. The bangers and mash were okay, kinda bland but could that just be how it is? The fish and chips were a hit though! (Review for dinner on 9/12/26) Overall, the restaurant has good service, is clean, and for the most part has a good vibe, the owner/manager came up to us and kept asking us how we were doing, if we needed anything else, etc. However, a single order of wings costs $18, so a rational person would assume, for 18 dollars, this order of wings would contain a semi-decent number of wings. Imagine our table's surprise when they come out with a large plate, which had literally 5 of the tiniest, most pathetic looking wings I have ever seen. Seriously, you could get better (and much larger) wings at the freezer at the grocery store. In addition to this, it is not clearly posted on the menu or anywhere else that the business charges an extra 3% for credit cards. Of course, this is not a super uncommon practice, but to not notify customers until the bill has been paid about the surcharge is shady at best. Overall, I would highly recommend staying away from this establishment as they wish to mislead their customers and overcharge them for very mediocre food. read more

What a pleasant surprise that a new pub opened up in downtown Pleasanton! We showed up as a large group with a baby and had a wonderful time. Great beer selection, cocktail menu, food, and attentive service. Both indoor and outdoor seating which was great to see. I basically ordered one of everything on the menu - and they happened to be running a Sunday special Prime Rib dinner that I had to get. Also the chips are a must, with their homemade ketchup! And they got the ambiance of a British pub down so well, going in through the side entrance and reminded us on going through the alleys of London to get a pub.
