Because my friend's band (shoutout to Bored of Directors!) was performing and of course that means I'm there to support him. The scene was everything I would normally avoid like the plague (or the "razor throat" strain of Covid-19 as it may be). Nevertheless, this place is cool! Very chill, not pretentious at all. Glad I scoured previous reviews so I knew what to expect: go past the front door and tables, down the alley to enter at the backyard; order drinks at the left side of the bar, food on the right. Picnic type tables scattered about for shared seating. "Stage" area set up in the corner. The beer selection was great, servers were friendly and helpful (and patient with us newbies). We did not have food so I can't comment on that. The band was awesome and played a mix of songs from 1970s thru 2000s. People were dancing, singing along. It was a great night! Not something I would choose to do if Bored of Directors wasn't playing, but when they come back around, I wouldn't hesitate! So go, have fun! There was a birthday celebration happening at a few of the tables in the front yard. Guests looked to be in their 30s to early 40s so I'm guessing that's the regular clientele here. Oh, and we found parking across the street in a center where a lot of businesses are. Some of the spots are reserved for the businesses but there are plenty that aren't. Or you could just risk the wrath of the Pleasanton PD and hope you don't get ticketed or towed. And of course, designate a driver before imbibing!

The outdoor space is really nice and feels like a place you can easily hang out for hours with friends, family, and even your fur baby. I first tried one of their sour beers and it was okay, but the real winner for me was the strawberry margarita with the Tajín rim. It was so good I ended up having two. The food was also a pleasant surprise and felt like an elevated twist on typical beer bites. I ordered the fig and prosciutto pizza and it was amazing. My friend got the beer cheese nachos, which were pretty much the perfect brewery snack. This was my first time at Dust Bowl, but definitely not my last.

I interacted with autumn, and Dazha, both of whom were very kind, attentive, and provided great recommendations. They provided excellent service. I was also appreciative that they were able to carry a conversation with me as a patron versus just treating me as someone who was impeding on their workday. Now, onto the beer. I enjoyed the No Tanlines IPA, & the Tropidank IPA. Both were phenomenal. Great taste profile, went down easy and not too heavy on the ABV. Those beers paired nicely with the food that I enjoyed. Speaking of food their menu is just the right size with the right amount of options. I didn't find it overwhelming because honestly nothing is worse than a large menu with excessive options especially at a brewery. Lastly, the ambience of the brewery was very enjoyable. It's just the right size, and they also have a rather eclectic music playlist that I particularly enjoyed and it seems that the Staff there enjoys it along with many of the other patrons. Overall, this establishment will be a place that I revisit again probably more than once during my time in Dublin California and it will certainly be my go to place for a post round of golf meal & beer(s).

The location and setting are nice with a shaded outdoor patio with extensive seating and a cozy feeling inside with tall tables and a nice bar. Service is a little spotty though. The last time I was there, I sat at the bar and noticed more of the staff dynamic than I've seen before. The bartender never once wiped down the bar top even though it was obviously covered in sticky spilled beer and bits of food. The staff were grumpy and didn't seem to be enjoying each other or serving people. One staff person complained about patrons and said they can either wait or order off the QR code...ouch. I got so tired of the bar vibe that I paid and took my beer outside to enjoy in peace. The beer selection seemed decent but I wasn't that impressed to think that I would frequent the place on future visits. They call themselves a brewery but I honestly didn't see any signs of brewing equipment and most of their beers were from other breweries. I'll give it another try but I might have to find a new beer spot.

People were very impressed with the food and the entire ordering process working with Victoria was smooth. The price was reasonable for the quantity and quality of food that we were able to give to our guests, including staged delivery of the food so that it was hot when it was served. To make matters worse, after a staff member asked us which available table we preferred, we pointed one out, only for another waiter to immediately give that exact table away to a smaller party while we stood there as a party of six. That set the tone for the evening. Service throughout the night lacked professionalism and hospitality. One male waiter, approximately in his 40s with slicked-back hair, was consistently rude, dismissive, sharp in tone, and visibly uninterested in helping our table. His behavior affected our entire party and made us feel unwelcome. Management should seriously address his service etiquette and overall conduct toward guests. The most disappointing part was the complete lack of acknowledgment of my wife's birthday. Throughout dinner, we watched several other tables celebrating birthdays receive desserts and recognition from staff, while our table received absolutely nothing despite the restaurant being informed ahead of time. At the end of dinner, we were simply handed the bill with no acknowledgment whatsoever. My wife even turned to me and asked, 'What about my birthday?' and honestly I had no answer for her.
