    crème brûlée

a great spot for a date or celebration. my boyfriend and i ordered the wild ahi tartare, pasta ribbons & pesto, and crème brûlée. of those 3, only the wild ahi tartare really stood out. super refreshing, and the potato crisps complemented the fish flavor exquisitely. the pasta was a bit too salty for me and crème brûlée was just alright. our waitress was friendly, and answered all our questions. we also got our food pretty quickly as well.

Great spot - we got seated quickly on a walk in basis. Food tasted SO fresh and good. I recommend checking out this spot.

Great location! i love sitting in the outside patio facing downtown redlands. I love the aesthetic of the brick and mortar. We received great service and were sat down fast. I ordered the Wagyu burger and it was very flavorful. I also had the mezcal old fashioned , which was very strong but perfect for me. I'd like to come back to try additional dishes!

Cute location in downtown Redlands. The menu has lots of options, and service was good. The food was okay, I feel like items were overpriced for their quality overall. The complimentary bread was delicious- thick pieces of toast for the table. The beet salad was refreshing, and the lamb chop entree was well cooked but I didn't enjoy the sides it came with. The pasta dishes we tried were lackluster. Overall, come for the ambiance and variety of options, but I think food could be improved for the pricing.

First time here a few weeks ago. Loved the patio area, our server was very friendly and efficient. The bread is to die for! The salmon sandwich on their lunch menu was delicious and the salad my friend ordered was a lot bigger than expected.

    Prosciutto Crostini

Had dinner here with my girlfriend for an early dinner. I've been wanting to try this place as I always pass by when I'm in the area. I ordered the prosciutto crostini (which is a crostini topped with burrata, green peas, Asian pear, & parmigiano) & pasta ribbons & pesto (which is asparagus, mushrooms, parmigiano, & I got mine with shrimp). My friend got pappardelle pasta (which came with grilled shrimp, spinach, mushrooms, & lemon-thyme cream sauce). I enjoyed the crostini more than the pasta. The crostini was really good as all the components compliment each other. The sweetness of the pear masks out the saltiness of the prosciutto. Then you get the crunch from the crostini & asparagus. But IMO, there was a little too much prosciutto for my liking, and it was hard to eat as there were so many elements on the crostini & everything kept falling off. As much as I love pesto, this pasta dish wasn't it. It was a little too dry for my liking. The pesto was pastey and made the pasta dry. The only thing I liked in this dish was my shrimp. I didn't get a taste of my friend's pasta but it looked better than my pesto pasta. The service here was great. We were rated right away. We sat outdoors & still got good service. This restaurant is tucked away in the corner of State & 5th St of Downtown Redlands. I didn't really see the inside of the restaurant, but from my experience of sitting outside, it's pretty chill. The outdoor patio faces State St, so it can get busy with people passing by. I would definitely return here to try their other food items.

Caprice is always a 5 star place for us and we are always impressed with both the service and freshness of the food . First of all, a big thank you to our server Ryan whose helpful suggestions and overall pleasant demeanor made this a delightful experience . My friend ordered the wagu burger with extra garlic aioli and I ordered the ahi tuna tartare ( don't let the size fool you the small portion is very filling ) We also ordered our drinks off menu, her ordering the white sangria and myself ordering a classic lemon drop . Best lemon drop I've had in my life . Very balanced and fresh . Absolutely perfect! We will come back time and time again .

Ambiance is always delightful. The patio is a great spot to people watch. Service was amazing. Always great to see Redlands Celebrities like Larry Burgess there! Roasted beet salad is like no other salad in Redlands. It can be served with chicken, trout or salmon. Its topped with Humboldt fog chevre, avocado and pistachio.

Dinner at Caprice Cafe for my wife's birthday. Food was excellent! I had the Rainbow Trout/Green Beans/Almonds and my wife had the Pappardelle Shrimp dish. The bread was very good/fresh. Service is slow, but reminds me of dinner experiences in Europe. The table is yours, and no one is rushing you to finish your meal. Servers do tend to leave you alone, so you may need to work to get their attention. Atmosphere was cozy/nice/relaxed/quiet. Dessert was the best Cinnamon Apple Dumpling dish we both ever tried-delicious! We did have a minor issue with our wine (cork), which was handled to our satisfaction, to the credit of Caprice Cafe staff. First time at Caprice Cafe, and we both give it high marks. Definitely going back. Four 1/2 stars till we go back a second time, but five stars on deck. Highly recommended.

Appetizers are the move here. Bruschetta Shrimp burrata, quite nice and unique without being too outlandish. It has the refreshment of bruschetta burrata but with shrimp. Porcini mushroom pizza is a nice small mushroom pizza to snack on while you wait on other food. Bacon wrapped figs were decent too although the sauce was probably the best part about it. Our main entree was a Red pepper pasta filet mignon, which frankly was a little flat. The filet mignon wasn't too tender or flavorful frankly and the pasta sauce was a little lackluster as well. But for filler, it does the job. So like i said, appetizers are the move here, pair them with a wine to maximize your experience here (if your wallet is willing), otherwise, the place does run a little more expensive than other restaurants in the area.

I love the whole concept of this place. When I found out some of the Beat Junkies were behind it, I already thought that was super cool. Then I saw how the menu items are named after different songs, albums, bands, rappers, and artists, with their own spin on everything. As someone who has been DJing since the late 90s, the whole concept hits home for me. It feels like it was created by people who genuinely love the culture rather than just using music as a theme. I stopped in for lunch on a Saturday shortly after they opened, so it was pretty quiet, but that worked out because the service was great and the staff was super helpful. I even picked up one of their hats before leaving because I liked the place that much. Now I need to come back when they have DJs playing or one of their special guest sets. Great food, great concept, and a place with some actual personality. Definitely coming back.

Good potential, but the overall experience did not justify the price…read more I wanted to give this restaurant a fair review because it is only about three minutes from my home, and I was hoping to find a great local pizza spot. Overall, I would rate it 3 out of 5 stars. There are definitely some things I enjoyed, but there are also several areas that I believe need improvement, particularly when considering the prices. I'll start with the positives. The meatballs with sauce were excellent and were probably the highlight of the meal. The sauce was especially good, and I think using more of that sauce on the pizzas would make a noticeable difference. The bread was also good, although the butter was fairly ordinary and didn't add much to the appetizer. The plain pepperoni pizza was good, but I wouldn't consider it exceptional. The pepperoni had good flavor, but the pizza had quite a bit of flop in the center. My biggest concern, however, was the wait time. It took over an hour for our pizzas to arrive, which was difficult to understand considering the restaurant was not particularly busy. The Calabria pizza had a similar issue with the flop and was also noticeably greasy. There was also a significant amount of ricotta. I think the pizza would benefit from keeping the ricotta closer to the crust because, as it was, the ricotta would slide off whenever the slice was picked up. The service was the biggest area that needs improvement. We waited approximately 30 minutes for our appetizers and more than 20 minutes for a single beer. We also had to find our server ourselves to request silverware for the meatballs and bread. When you're paying more than $20 for a small pizza, I think customers should be able to expect more attentive service and reasonable wait times, especially when the restaurant isn't busy. I was also surprised by the beer selection. It seems heavily focused on IPAs and specialty craft beers. Offering a broader selection, including more traditional and mainstream options, would make the beer menu more appealing to a wider range of customers. Overall, I don't think this is a bad restaurant. There were definitely things we enjoyed, particularly the meatballs and their sauce. However, the combination of the prices, lengthy wait times, service issues, and pizza quality made it difficult to feel that the overall experience was worth the cost. It's disappointing because the location is extremely convenient for me, and I would have loved to have a great pizza restaurant just minutes from home. I hope these are areas the restaurant considers improving because I do think there is potential here. For me, this is a 3-star restaurant: good enough to have some enjoyable items, but not yet at the level I would expect for the prices being charged.

I look back nostalgically at those meals, and we occasionally look for a fondue restaurant around the time of our anniversary on December 28th. We've tried the Melting Pot and Rok N Fondue in the past with some success. Being in Redlands on the 27th, we made reservations for Rok N Fondue. I was worried as their Open Table link was not working, but I left a reservation request on their phone and they were quick to text back a confirmation. Upon arriving, we were warmly greeted and taken to our table. We ordered their Rok N Cheddar cheese fondue to start. It was served with cubbed bread, tortilla chips, granny smith apples, carrot, celery, and cauliflower. The cheese consistency did not seem to ever properly coalesce. We did a lot of twisting a tearing of cheese to get the provided dippers covered and out of the mix. The taste was good, but the celery and cheese was not a good mix. I ordered the chicken breast, and Robin tried the Bourbon Street - Cajun seasoned petite filet, chicken, shrimp, and andouille sausage. The fondue entrees come with potatoes, mushrooms, and broccoli. The chicken was okay especially using their provided dipping sauces - Chimichurri, Teriyaki BBQ Sauce, and Sweet Chili Wasabi. The vegetables cooked up well and were tasty. Other than the precooked andouille sausage, there did not seem to be noticeable Cajun seasoning with the Bourbon Street entree. Overall a good meal, but not great. The service was attentive and friendly and the building itself is beautiful. They provided us a tasty New York Cheese Cake for our anniversary. It was a nice overall experience.
