Capitol Optometry-Curtis Park location. Totally cute business sign.

Absolutely top notch service. Full circle. From the initial exam when everything was explained as my vision was being assessed to picking up my glasses today. The Dr. is well informed, patient with answering questions and provides great care and the front/back office staff is of the same caliber. Incredible vintage and current fashionable frames offered, including sport frames. Lot's of options to choose from. And if you're into gaming , the Dr. and staff can recommend the perfect vision wear, especially if a gaming headset is worn. Spacious office and exam room settings. No tiny crawl spaces to try and maneuver a wheelchair. In fact, I daresay the office design was created to ensure inclusivity and accessibility for all persons and mobility needs. And the vision exam equipment is clean and totally high technology. I highly recommend this optometrist and optometry location if you are seeking professional, hands on, accessible, respectful, knowledgeable and genuinely caring customer service.

I went in for my appointment on Tuesday, August 11. It is now Saturday, August 16. I have yet to still receive my prescription. Dr Moos and this company use a third-party app in order to be able to get a prescription. I called the office four times to let them know that I needed the prescription fax directly to my pharmacy. I don't need to go through a third-party app. Each time the lady told me OK thank you for the fax number. Will have the doctor fax it right over. I'm waiting at the pharmacy by the way, It's been two hours in the hot sun. so finally after two hours I called the office back. I said they still haven't gotten the fax at the pharmacy. Then they put me on the phone with Dr. Moos, she discourages me going not through the app saying 80% of the time they're going to make me pay full price for a prescription and she was very short with me about not wanting to go through the app which to me makes no sense unless you're making money from using the app.. I told her I don't care about the price I just want my prescription. Can you please send the prescription directly to my pharmacy. trusting doctors, which I probably shouldn't do anymore. I expected to call this morning and have my prescription ready to my pharmacy. But they still have NOT received the fax from the doctor, she never faxed my prescription into my pharmacy. Dr. Moos (which now I'm actually questioning if she's a real doctor because do no harm?) assured me she was going to do that. So l don't know if they're receiving money or something for using this app but there's no reason for a third-party service to be receiving your private medical information in order to get a prescription refilled. I would not recommend this place. I can't see because I can't get the prescription. I need for my eye, so this is affecting my whole life and my whole weekend right now. I can't drive. I even tried contacting the third-party app which of course there's no phone number. It's some online invisible service that you can't speak to a human at for your own health. That's how much you value health? I thought that doctors were supposed to put their patient's health before money, but I guess not this place I do not recommend it and I expect to see my prescription faxed to my pharmacy on Monday morning. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau and the medical licensing board if not. I'm questioning if this lady is actually a real doctor to be honest.

Such a great experience at Natomas Optometry!…read more Dr. Nathaniel Charney, O.D. was so kind and understanding. I really liked his calm, caring vibe , no matter how many questions I had, he answered every single one with patience and a smile. You can tell he truly cares about his patients and knows what he's doing. He saw not only me, but also my 6-year-old and my teen son. We recently started using contacts, and Yo-Yo was amazing helping me learn how to put mine in and take them out , I actually got it on the first try thanks to him! He was amazing! My teen was helped by someone else who was super patient and made sure he felt confident before leaving, even though it took him a bit longer. The front office team is also wonderful everyone is welcoming, friendly, and really on top of things. And the office manager deserves a shout-out too she's so stylish, sweet, and just makes the place feel happy and organized. After having a not-so-great experience at Kaiser, coming here felt like such a relief. My family and I feel truly cared for at Natomas Optometry. Thank you all for being so kind and professional , we'll definitely be back! :)

I called so many places and couldn't get in for weeks even after I explained what I was experiencing. I called Arden Park Optometry 5 minutes before closing on Monday, and was squeezed in Tuesday morning. The entire staff is so kind and supportive. They even fixed my glasses and tightened them for me (I'm primarily a contact lens user, so I've been putting this off for years). I've had many horrible experiences with optometry and ophthalmology offices over the last 30 years or so, so I was literally shaking. Dr. Paymaun and office staff were gentle, kind, patient, and explained everything that they were doing while they did it. I felt so much at ease - not easy to do. I got a complete and very thorough exam by Dr. Paymaun and I am clear on next steps. This office is a solid trek for me from Elk Grove but it is 100% worth it for me. I highly recommend Dr. Paymaun for all things eye-related.

My previous optometrist had retired so I needed to find a new one. I found Arden Park Optometry by searching for a scleral lens specialist. Dr. Paymaun is beyond a specialist. He is extremely knowledgeable and experienced with all vision types. Easily one of the best optometrists I've ever seen. I urgently needed scleral lenses. I had went to another optometrist last year and they were not able to help my specific problem. All they did was max out my insurance and leave me with junk hybrid lenses.  My wife was pregnant and I wanted to be able to drive her to the hospital on the big day. I went to Dr. Paymaun and he was able to get me a pair of scleral lenses within days! Three days later my wife went into labor and I was able to easily drive her to the hospital. I am truly grateful for it. I cannot thank Arden Park Optometry enough. I will continue to come here and strongly recommend that you do too.

I was amazed by the more advanced equipment compared to my previous optometrist. I would recommend you to bring your old glasses/contacts prescription so the optometrist will know where to start with providing you the correct prescription. I unfortunately did not bring my old prescription to my appointment. I reviewed my old prescription compared to the one I received from this office and noticed my new prescription is weaker. What I like about this office is that the optometrist listened to my concerns regarding my old contact lenses and was able to provide me with a better brand. I opted to purchase a pair of glasses from this office and it took about two weeks for them to be ready. If you think you will need to make adjustments to your glasses, you must schedule a time to meet with an optician. This is the first time I have come across an optometry office requiring you to schedule a time to make adjustments to your glasses. I had a family member pick up my glasses so I wasn't able to see my glasses until later in the day. I noticed the lenses were a lot thicker than I was used to. My prescription is pretty high so I opted for the high index eyeglass lenses. High index lenses cost a lot more than normal lenses. The glasses I received definitely weren't high index and the way the lenses were shaved down didn't look right at all. I had quite a bit of a back and forth exchange with the office about these lenses not being correct. The office was telling me that these are high index lenses and the lab recommended I get a roll and polish for an extra charge. I have never gotten a roll and polish for any of my glasses. I really had to voice my concerns before the manager jumped in and agreed to send the glasses back to the lab for new high index lenses. It's a bit inconvenient that I had to request time off work to drop off the glasses and then schedule a time with the optician to try on the new glasses. Also, it took about another 2 weeks to get the correct glasses. However, i'm glad the office made things right by finally listening to my concern. The lenses to my new glasses are exactly what I was expecting. Overall, this office isn't the worst place. It's about average. At the end of the day, the office will try to fix the mistake. The optometrist I had listened to my concerns which is a plus as most optometrist just shrug your concerns off.

But I wanted a personal touch/ fitting for his little face. I called the office and they said yes they have frames for kids and sports glasses (I just signed him up for tee ball and the coach recommended them). Just come on in, the receptionist said! Great. My son and I drove to the River City office in East Sac from North Natomas, so a bit of a trek. As soon as we walked into the office, which was a beautiful bright setup- the vibe was weird. The few patients in the waiting area just stared at us and the reception staff were cold. I'm assuming the front desk gal (older Asian woman- I am also an Asian woman) was the one I talked to on the phone and I said I called about the child glasses. She asked me to fill in forms for my son. He is under my husband's vision insurance so she needed the last 4 digits of his social. My husband works at a secure location so does not get to keep his phone on hand. I texted and hoped he'd see it. Meanwhile, we tried on glasses and she asked for a copy of his prescription. I emailed it to her and she said she needed a full copy. What I sent was a screenshot from the Kaiser app, so it doesn't show up well on the phone screen. At that point, I was just frustrated and ready to leave. I told her I wasn't prepared enough to get frames today... which is totally true. Absolutely. But had she let me know over the phone that I should come in with a printed prescription, and the VSP social, I 100% would have been prepared. I heard one of the eye doctors with a patient and she sounded really caring and professional. There is just a cold, unhelpful wall to get to her. And once I get everything prepared, my son and I will for sure be going to another office for his new glasses.
