I walked into this capital one cafe and upon entering they asked me if I had any association with capital one. They asked me to take a 2 minute survey and in return they gave me a voucher for one free coffee. They give 50% all drinks if a capital product is used for the purchase. I got the ginger snap iced latte($7) with oak milk(+$1). The drink was made in 3 minutes and tasted great! Sweet while having that winter seasonal feel to it! It did seem a little small compared to other cafes. If I had a capital one credit card and could take advantage of 50% off I would definitely come back more often especially since it's convenient for being in the short pump town center. What a cool cafe. Loved how my capital one card got me a stick discount and they also sell food. Big space with a lot of power strips. Puzzle to keep you busy. The staff was so friendly!! And it's really a bank. What!? Ya, really. With capital one ATM. The staff can help with bank questions and probably some financial planning. Really cool concept with good coffee. Highly recommend! Hope they move into Hampton roads soon!!

It's the Artistry for me ! One of the things I look forward to when ordering a nice hot drink . Matcha is most definitely my favorite . Amazing customer service

Let the record show that Capital One Cafe is the first place I ever tried a matcha... and I liked it! I came here in between running some errands to get some work done. I needed a quiet place that was also near lunch options. Ding ding ding! Thought of Capital One Cafe and headed right over. It also helps that as a Capital One customer, I get half priced drinks. Yay! Anyway, I had a good experience and was very productive on this day. The only complaint that I have is that one of the employees was talking extremely loud and being a little obnoxious, which is the opposite of what anyone wants at a coffee shop when they're supposed to be getting work done. Besides that, it was great.

I've been a Capital One cardholder for years but haven't bothered to take advantage of the discounts at their cafes. That changed this past weekend when I found myself randomly crazy thirsty while shopping in the Short Pump Town Center. The cashier was pleasant and helped me order a non-caffeniated iced beverage (their infused teas weren't available so I was stumped on what to select). Eventually we settled on an iced mocha javiva, size small. I think it was about $2 after my 50% discounted rate. It didn't take long for the drink to be served, and I basically inhaled it. I sat inside at one of their tables and enjoyed the bright ambiance. It was nice that they had tulip arrangements on each table as well. Fun little touch. I'd definitely return while shopping in the future, and I might just have a preferred drink order too!

It's Fine Nothing fantastic. I did enjoy the fact that I was able to get 50% off of my drink purchase with a Capital One card, but other than that, I see nothing special about this place. The drink was fine, but not spectacular. You can't really go wrong here, but if you're a Capital One customer like me, you'll appreciate the discounts when available.

Found myself in town for a few days at the Hyatt. The crowd at Starbucks was too thick for me so I walked across the way to Capital One Café. Was happy to see Peet's coffee was featured since it's a brand I typically only drink when I'm traveling (yes, I know I can buy it in stores). The cafe has sliding doors that allow for plenty of fresh air to come in on those beautiful spring days. There's the usual café menu featuring drip coffee, lattes, chai, and a few herbal tea drinks as well. I probably stopped by 8 times last month for the oat milk latte. Customer service is on point and all of my drinks were delicious. Stick to the coffee or tea refresher type drinks. Bypass the chai. If you pay with a Capital One debit/credit card, it's half price. There are staff there to also answer general customer service questions regarding your accounts. Not pushy, but friendly. Good vibes all around.

I have a Savor card, so I have an incentive to stop in for coffee or tea...50% off! My daughter works at the mall so sometimes I'll come meet her on her 30-minute break. We used to go to Starbucks and wait 10-15 minutes to get food and beverages, but the Capital One cafe opened and now we can get our order in 5 minutes, save 50% and have enough time to chat. This is a nice place to chill for a while. It's probably 3 times bigger than Starbucks and has free wi-fi. I know people are suspicious that Capital One is using it as a sales tactic, but I've been there multiple times and have never had someone try to sell me a product. Good coffee and tea, good price, not too crowded and a nice atmosphere. Perfect!

We got the Spiced Oat Milk Latte. Excellent choice, the coffee was fresh and wasn't too sweet. I loved the taste of the oat milk mixed with a little bit of turmeric also. Overall, would definitely come back here! **Also, use your Capital One card to get half off**

Is this a place a bank or a Cafe??!! Well it's both. Capital One Cafe serves delicious Peets coffee and pastries and offers financial help should you need it. Being able to sip my tea at 50% off (because I'm a Capital One Cardholder) and have a casual conversation about banking is a awesome!! I love the casual atmosphere and comfy seating here!

Good place to have a cup of coffee and relax with friends! Or just fo go by yourself! Everyone is super friendly plus they have PEET's COFFEE!! If you have any allergies, they have almond, soy, and coconut milk :) They also have a bunch of snacks and a big drink menu! I really encourage you to go to this Cafe more than to Starbucks :)

I love that this location is in Short Pump! Capital One treats their customers with 50% off drinks everyday and free drinks at happy hour! My family is definitely a regular here! The staff is so friendly and go out of their way to recognize their frequent customers. We recently got a new puppy who would only eat and drink out of one of the dog bowls that they had as a promotional item. When I asked a staff member for an extra one, she went out of her way to put together a little bag of goodies for my puppy! Excellent customer service!!

The only issue I have about VACU is they aren't as up-to-date on technology services like for example, Navy Federal, which in all fairness, is a much larger worldwide credit union. Their website is rough and their mobile banking is not very efficient to use, IMHO. Like your deposit under $200 would hit right away with Navy Fed but with VACU, you won't see it until maybe 24 hours later after 9am. VACU is just local to Virginia and all we needed to qualify for membership is be a resident of Richmond. But in any event, I have to give a shout out to Sharon for helping me notarize a document using e-verify, which neither of us had done before, but she was cool and patient with the process and we got it done and this service is free as a member of their credit union.

The right move, but resulted in us leaving a lot of meat on the bone when it came to exploring Richmond. With the one full day we had left, we visited the American Civil War Museum, found the Emancipation & Freedom Monument, drove through some of the historic districts and up along the shallow rapids of the James River. It was all great, but the further we went, the more interesting the city became. The art and food scene was everywhere downtown, with galleries, cafes, breweries and restaurants dotting the streetscape. Found Edgar Allan Poe's home on a cobblestone street. I didn't know he lived in Richmond, too, as he also spent years in Philadelphia in addition to his main domicile in Baltimore. That dude got around! My main interest was in the Civil War, which is why we went to the ACWM. The best part of that center was the creative adaptive reuse of the old Tredegar Iron Works. That early 19th Century complex made much of the armaments used by the Confederacy and all the red brick manufactured to build most of the original buildings in the city and surroundings, including the industrial development where this factory was itself set up. The remaining large smokestack and metal waterwheel definitely caught my attention. That used red brick is literally everywhere. The Virginia Statehouse is right next door, and Jefferson Davis' Mansion (White House of the Confederacy), not far away. That Richmond is but 75 miles from Washington, DC, is astounding and explains why it was under siege by Union forces for so much of the hostilities (and why General Lee spent such efforts to bring the war to the north by invading Pennsylvania and threatening Washington itself). They were too close to ignore and offered attractive targets of opportunity for the Army of Northern Virginia. Richmond deserves a lot more time to discover its history, charm and secrets. We will be back.
