The Ultimate Customer Service Story…read more We chartered a bus and coach for our daughter's wedding in Austin on March 30th. As the Father of the Bride I was shocked when the bus that showed up to bring our guests to the church was a school bus. After the ceremony I called Abdul to address my concern. After speaking to him it became clear that in reality the mistake was ours, not his. We had chartered a "transit" bus, which when you look on the website is a school bus. I wish the contract was more specific; as "school bus" certainly would have jumped out. But live and learn. Now to the good part. With my frustration high, Abdul was calm, cool and reasonable. He immediately realized I was not happy and kicked into high gear to see what he could do. While we had to take the school bus back to the hotel, by the time we left for the reception...less than one hour later...a gleaming full scale motor coach was sitting in front of the hotel instead of a school bus. Wow! I can't thank Abdul enough for stepping up. I was thoroughly impressed. When it comes to satisfying customers in a crisis, Austin Charter Services proves that it can still be done the old fashion way...do whatever you can to make your customer happy. I'll be back again some day for the next daughter. Thanks Abdul! Mike McCauley Argyle, TX P.S. The coach we ordered for the wedding party was perfect and the drivers were top notch.

Not exactly what I wanted to see at such a moment. As it turned out later, technically, the error was in our order, but it would be nice if this detail was spelled out more clearly. After the appeal, the situation was quickly corrected, and by the next stage of the incident we were waiting for a much more comfortable transport solution. This made a positive impression, especially considering that there was a reaction and a desire to correct the situation. The drivers were professional, the organization on the routes - without significant failures. There are things that can be improved in terms of communication and transparency in the choice of transport, but in general the experience remains rather positive.

I have to upgrade it to 4 starts…read more After living in Austin since 2012, I reflect about my experience in ATX and realize that Cap Metro, though not 5 stars, makes my life awesome. I love public transportation. They also didn't raise fares during inflation! New app is great too! Good improvement over last app. Cap Metro has contributed to the exciting and stimulating things I have done in ATX, so I thank it

The filthy people that get to ride for free. Yeah. If you look like you've been rolling around in the dirt. Hop on cap metro it's free. They always let these people ride free. I guess that's why we all get to start paying increased fare so normal people who actually work get to pay for these freeloaders. They advertise busses arriving 15 minutes apart. That's a joke. Easily waited an hour yesterday for a 20 to arrive. Also there's a new awesome thing happening. The fare boxes are very sensitive and they will take money out of your cards just walking by. I just woke up to a charge on my card. They told me it was a tap and pay but I never use that. I only use UMO. So beware if you walk by even without your Google wallet up it can charge you. I would call that theft. Awesome it wont let me add a photo of all the cancelled buses. Ive also been wanting to upload pictures of all the filthy trash cans. This company sucks so bad. If I could give it a million negative stars I would.

This is a written part of their policy but that does not excuse that this a major theft of money. I had a family emergency that has caused me to cancel my trip with ample notice and this is a joke of a cancellation policy. I remember 5 years ago, canceling a trip with flix bus only a few hours before my trip and getting a full refund back to my card.To be refunded barely a 3rd of the cost of my trip in essentially the form of a coupon is truly the height of corporate greed.

FLIXBUS: YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS…read more I paid for a trip from Austin to Houston. What I got was a terrifying experience that could have ended in tragedy -- followed by a customer service response that is just as appalling. Our driver was swerving across lanes and nearly running other cars off the road. This wasn't a minor driving mistake or a little discomfort on a road trip. The situation was so dangerous that we had to make the bus stop and get off for our own safety. We called 911, and police pursued the bus and pulled it over. Read that again. PASSENGERS HAD TO GET OFF A BUS AND CALL 911 BECAUSE OF THE DRIVER'S BEHAVIOR. And what is FlixBus's response to this nightmare? REFUSING TO REFUND OUR TRIP. Apparently, passengers can pay for transportation, end up in a genuinely dangerous situation, involve law enforcement, and then be told they're still not entitled to their money back. What exactly does it take for FlixBus to accept responsibility? Does someone have to get hurt before passenger safety becomes more important than keeping the fare? I didn't pay to gamble with my life on the highway. I paid for a bus ride. I have already reported this incident to FlixBus. I am asking the company to take this seriously, investigate what happened, and issue a refund. Passengers deserve better than a terrifying ride followed by a refusal to make things right. FlixBus, this is your opportunity to do the right thing. Refund this trip, address what happened, and stop treating a serious passenger safety incident like an ordinary customer service complaint. I would think twice before trusting this company with my safety -- and I strongly encourage anyone considering FlixBus to understand what happened here. #FlixBus #PassengerSafety #CustomerService #AustinToHouston

I really wasn't in the mood to drive, last minute ticket prices were outrageous, and the airports would have definitely been insane. Fortunately, a buddy told me about Megabus! "A mega what??!!" I believe was my initial reaction. After hearing a little bit more and taking a look at their website, I purchased a round trip ticket to Austin. I have no regrets. The bus was clean, the drivers were friendly, and the other passengers were all polite and well behaved unlike my experience on another bus line that I used in the past on a couple of occasions. With the exception of the employee who worked at the Downtown Austin location, it was a pleasant experience. Note to the employee at that location: It's not cute when you make disparaging remarks behind a customer's back when the other passengers are looking down your throat...no, Ma'am! That's really the only negative part of my little holiday review. Give Megabus a try. I'll consider them again if I'm traveling to another close Texas city in the future. Speaking of not cute, I was not feeling cute in these two attached pics while riding on Megabus, but I just wanted to convey the contentment that I experienced on my ride. Buenos dias, Ya'll!

Arrived in Austin within 3ish hours. The sucky thing is the seats are really small. You are cramped up. The charging stations at each seat is just a plug. No USB charging here. The free wifi sucks as well. The good thing is if the bus isn't full you can move to another seat. Our first bus driver was a chatty Kathy, but I had earpods in and watched nexflix on my phone. Our driver on the way home gave a Sunday sermon before we left Austin and it was awkward. All in all. Put your earbuds in and sit back, relax (if there's room) and let someone else take the stress out of your drive to and from Austin. The drive goes by so fast. PS - looking at the photos - we did not get a double decker bus to or from Austin.
