They advertise 15 minutes buses this is the reality.

They advertised running the busses at noon. 2 hours. 2 hours I waited for the first one to show up. I've been at the second stop waiting for another 2 hours. Almost 5 hours to get home. Zero ice on the road. ZERO. If there was actually ice in the road ot would be understandable. Just the complete lack of accountability from this company. It's repulsive. The CEO must be fired. It had distinctly gotten worse with this person as the head of everything.

I live right off of East Riverside Dr so it's so convenient to hop on the #20 bus that goes straight to the airport, my place of employment, in 20 minutes or less. On many occasions, I see many travelers with their luggage take advantage of the inexpensive alternative transport to the airport, $1.25 for one way and $2.50 for a 24 hour pass. I have also noticed that the punctuality has improved immensely. I have never use the rail service but I have friends in Cedar Park and Leander that take advantage of the service to venture into Austin for delectable delights and beverages with authority.

I do miss having the option of smart cars because of the price and the parking ease. It would be better if they kept both. As someone who does not own a car this has been a godsend and allowed me to have a much more convenient lifestyle without the annoyances and expenses of car ownership. I used to use Zipcar and now I haven't touched one in years mainly because I found the set schedule and drop off points too restrictive. I generally only drive on weekends and rarely leave the city so it works out great for me. It's a really convenient option and while my friends circle around downtown looking for parking I have the option of dropping off at a car2go spot. Now the bad: TECH issues!! Every once in a while I can't end a rental for whatever reason and end up having to call customer service and wait on hold and it's a pain in the ass. Customer service in general is meh. While the agents are helpful, the company doesn't really show much appreciation for their customers. I mean I've been using the service for four years and I can't think of a single perk I've earned from that. Sure they had a little customer appreciation lounge set up for SX but no one was even checking if you were a member. They really need to set up some frequent driver perks and bonus time or something. After I had a bunch of tech issues I sent a lot of emails and stopped using the service for a while. Maybe if they showed customers more appreciation that wouldn't happen. It's gotten more expensive and with the new packages the day rate actually went up to the point of being prohibitively expensive. Back when they had the smart cars there were often day specials for $50 and now we're close to $100 with taxes and there are no more weekend day specials! That's just absurd. While I did the day rental a few times with the smart cars to go to Ikea, now it is completely out of the question and I just go to Enterprise and get a weekend rental.

This morning I decided to try out the promotion, $6 for 20 minutes, it was suggested to use it to…read morego to McDonalds or any other ungodly fastfood venue, being that I don't patronize those types, I went to Starbucks. At my apartment complex, there were 3 Mercedes to chose from. I chose the CLA. Somehow, an unsightly red Ford zipcar got into the photo. If I would have taken Lyft or Uber, it would have cost $10 plus tax and tip.

Both bikes were fine, but the best part was the customer service from B-Cycle, now called Metrobike. Their staffers were so friendly and helpful-they legit showed interest in me as a customer and desire for me to be happy! Yay! Something that's sorely lacking right now. Plus, they had THE CLOSEST docking station to ACL (by a lot), at the corner of Sterzing and Barton Springs Road. Far closer than the mandatory scooter parking (geofencing prohibits you getting any closer-you have to take them to Toomey). I made that mistake Day 1 ACL. I will for sure use these bikes again. Happy to have them around central Austin. *The payment options are clearly stated on the app and the website. Not sure what others are bellyaching about. Each amount on the app has a drop-down with a VERY clear description of what you're buying. Jeez.

Arrived in Austin within 3ish hours. The sucky thing is the seats are really small. You are cramped up. The charging stations at each seat is just a plug. No USB charging here. The free wifi sucks as well. The good thing is if the bus isn't full you can move to another seat. Our first bus driver was a chatty Kathy, but I had earpods in and watched nexflix on my phone. Our driver on the way home gave a Sunday sermon before we left Austin and it was awkward. All in all. Put your earbuds in and sit back, relax (if there's room) and let someone else take the stress out of your drive to and from Austin. The drive goes by so fast. You can legally go 85 mph through here. The roads are wide, with nice shoulders and clear signage, so it's easy to go 85 through here. You don't get to see much on this toll road. It kinda takes you around Austin at high speed, and there aren't too many exit, or on-ramps, and there aren't any businesses directly along the toll road, just on the frontage roads. It always kinda feels like big brother is watching you going through here. I've never seen any patrol cars enforcing the 85 mph speed limit, but they take photos of you entering and exiting the toll road, so I assume they could figure out your average speed and handle things accordingly. Incandescence - good for desire, wit, stars, not so much for traffic lights.
