It's a good place to experiment... and discover what "turkey ribs" are -- YUM! What I don't love: The quality of the sausages is decent, but one of my packs had freezer burn, which was disappointing. That really destroyed the flavor. The red beans and rice tasted nice, but was mostly rice. The gumbo also tasted nice, but was more like jambalaya... there was no "gumbo/stew" quality to it. It was a rice dish with some sauce and meat/veggies in it. That was confusing. It also took 27 minutes to get my order of pre-made gumbo. That was frustrating when ordering quick food to go which requires no cooking. I think there's potential for this spot, if the food and service model can be cleaned up a bit.

The restaurant was loud so it was hard to talk in a large group. It was very clean & maximized the small space they have. When it's not the middle of summer it would be nice to sit outside on their patio. It seemed like if you were willing to sit there you got sat & served immediately. They kept the restaurant cool for the door being opened a lot. All of the staff were very helpful & helpful. We found this place because two friends who used to live here recommended it.
