I've struggled for years with finding a salon & stylist in the Lansing/ Okemos area that I want to stick with until yesterday! The reception staff is so patient and helpful, and they were so welcoming when I walked through the door. I had two apppintments with Amanda, once for a free consultation to discuss exactly what I was looking to have done and then the big appointment to cut and color my hair. Amanda was INCREDIBLE! She was so fun and bubbly and personable. The vibes and energy were there from the jump and it ended up being on of if not the best & most fun hair appointments I've ever had. She worked with me to achieve the goal I had for my hair, and was able to pull it off while maintaining the health and integrity of my hair. Not only was the quality of service immaculate, but the cost at the end of the appointment was only a few dollars higher than what she had quoted me at the consultation and still PERFECTLY within my beauty budget! Amanda absolutely gained a new regular and I can't wait to go back for touch-ups. read more

Stefaney had her appointments timed so that you don't have to wait for more than five minutes. My hair always looks nice! April was absolutely amazing. I came in not exactly sure how I wanted my hair colored, I knew the tone I wanted but I wasn't sure exactly how we would execute it. I'm upset with my recent experience at Capellini Salon. I believe this was my fourth visit with Olivia. Until today, I had been happy with my experience there. I am not the type to complain about a service unless I am very unhappy. Normally, I go in asking for a partial highlight and a trim. This time, I decided to go a little darker with my hair since a lot of my natural color came back from quarantine. Not only did my hair not turn out any darker, it came out orange and blotchy in a few areas. When I went to pay, the bill was $169! I was not expecting that. I never can tell if I like my hair until I can come home and really check it out for myself. After realizing there were flaws, I tried to contact the stylist and let her know I was unhappy with my service and since I paid almost double what I normally do, there must be something she can do. She said if I wanted it fixed, I could come in and PAY to fix it and she was "sticking to her guns." She said she spoke with the manager and thats the solution they came up with. She just lost a loyal customer. Isn't the whole purpose of the service industry is to have clients leave happy and want to return? I'm not asking for a handout, just fix what you did wrong. read more

I went to this salon for a couple of years after my stylist for 7 years moved salons. I HIGHLY recommend Erin McKnight! I first starting going to her in 2004 and have never had a bad experience. She has cut and colored my hair many styles and many colors and I have always been happy with the results. I have since moved out of state, and realized how great I had it with Erin- I have had a lot of negative experiences with stylists who do not listen to what I want or think their opinion of what I should do with my hair outweighs what I am asking for. I wemt to this salon on a groupon with Joelle. I misunderstood when I agreed to layers and my mouth dropped when I saw how much she cut off. Im glad I let her work her magic because now I love the cut. She did a great job on my highlights ans I wish I would have listened to her regarding dull gray coverage. It still looks great though. Salon decor is cute. My tailbone hurt after the appointment so I would describe the seating as semi comfortable. read more

Took my son with me to get my hair done with April after we talked over Instagram for days about getting some kind of discount via Groupon and she told me for what I wanted that the coupon wouldn't cover it and that all she could do was give me 15% off two haircuts. I get there and she didn't have me scheduled for my color only a cut and said it was bcuz "I wasn't specific" when making the appt and this was after she washed my hair, I had straightened my hair and styled it at home and it took her washing my hair and it was soaking wet, before she knew what she was even going to be doing!?? Very unprofessional smdh ‍ she said she "felt bad" that she had to send me home with wet hair when she very easily could've dried my hair before I left! Then she asked me if we were still going to cut my sons hair and I said sure so she gives him a quick military style "buzz cut" which he HATED and we were rushed out the door! It was very poor customer service and then she charged us $17 for just my sons hair and tried to get me to make another appt and I said nope...we will NOT ever go back there again read more
