We visited here in October and purchased some beers. They had a nice set up like a beer garden sort of thing in their parking lot and were serving folks food and beer outside. We just picked up some beers to go and browsed their small selection of retail items: some sweatshirts, glasses, magnets, souvenirs, etc. Unfortunately, many of their beers were only available on tap the day we visited and the selection of growlers and cans was a bit limited. I went to Cape Cod Beer with my family while we were in a short vacation in the Capecod and Nantucket Island. Searched for local brewery and found this gem! Despite of Covid situation, this place was very friendly, clean, with safely distanced sitting arrangements; and more importantly beautiful selection of beers and even cocktails. Live music was icing on the cake!!! Foods could be ordered by texting. Kids friendly and plenty of parking spaces. We arrived there just before noon (opened at noon) on Sunday and there were already people waiting. There was a food truck, live music and the opportunity to sample 5 tastes of beer (good sized samples!) for $5. Normally I'd just coo over the beer, which is decent microbrew but not exceptional, but the strangely relaxed ambiance here on "open house" day set CCB apart from a lot of other microbreweries I've been to. So what if the "biergarten" is just a roped off area of the parking lot? They have cornhole, a terribly plain hot dog truck run by some middle schoolers (apparently), and extremely amiable staff and clientele. We just wiled away the time drinking samplers on the long benches and chewing the fat and it was tons more fun than virtually any spot I can think of on the Cape or the more elaborately-appointed hipster joints farther afield. Visitors should be aware it's really minimally appointed even on sampler days - no real food (save for the junior achievement truck) -- but save some cash for the obligatory gift shoppe area, which has some nice beer gear. read more

I've shaken the shame of never entering this establishment before and sprinted to my MacBook Pro to tell you why it is wonderful. The first, almost overwhelming stop in this experience is the store. My head was swimming. I started pulling out cash and throwing it at merchandise. From growler lamps to emergency evacuation shirts that suggest beer is the only belonging worth salvaging, my brain whirled at the options. My friend had to grab me by the shirt collar and drag me into the brewery; he also picked up all the cash I'd tossed around the store, later explaining "that is not how commerce works." Once inside the main attraction, we delighted in learning for only $5 we could procure 5 flight-sized beer samples AND keep the branded glass afterward. As an avid fan of John F. Kennedy and strong proponent of the theory he was assassinated by a second shooter, imagine my ecstasy at discovering the now-on-tap JFK CentenniALE. I attempted to haggle with the purveyor to purchase the tap handle, but no dice (these handles can be purchased in-store, but unfortunately not this limited edition handle. If you're reading this, Cape Cod Beer, do the right thing and hook a brother up with a sale). Anyway, the "tour" is a single-take experience within this vaulted Cape beer heaven. Our tour guide was giving her very first presentation, but did so with true grace and dignity. She got an assist from a different employee who brought it home with some more detailed beer production talk. We even got to chew on grain, which resembled pine nuts or sunflower seed kernels. Smelling hops in a jar was another feature, a visceral shock to my nasal passages. With the tour completed, I was released back into the store where my friend lost his stronghold on my rabid fervor. I dropped something like $150 on several four packs of beer, merch, who knows what (it was such a tornado of binge-purchasing I'm not even sure what I bought). We walked outside, enjoyed some cornhole-watching, and headed out. Would I come back? Yes. Would I spend $150 again in the store? Yes. What's on my Christmas list? Everything else in the store. This a chill & casual brewery. Came by on a Saturday afternoon and it was filled but not too packed. There's a parking lot, indoor and outdoor seating. We got the beer tasting which comes with 5 - 3 oz glasses of the beer of your choice for only $6! I like lighter beers so the blonde was my favorite but their IPAs were good too. It was so worth doing the tasting. They give you 5 chips so you get one glass each and you go back to the bar and give them another chip for your next glass. The best part is that they will rinse your last glass and you can kept it as a souvenir. Probably the best $6 I've spent! There are also a ton of games here - board games, corn home, foosball, card games. We also bought a big jug of beer to take home for $15. Love how everything they sell is all local. read more

We went to the 70s show on Saturday the music was great the people working the event and at the bars were wonderful. Sadly I would not attend a seated event at the taproom again, the seating was far too crowded and very claustrophobic, we ended up sitting out in the lobby for most of the show just hearing the band through the walls . My husband and I stopped here on our way to Cape Cod. It was a warm, sunny day and this place offered a nice outdoor seating area, one portion covered, one portion uncovered. You walk through a gift shop area before heading back to the tasting room, which is actually the warehouse where the beer is made. It was kind of cool to see where everything was produced. There were tables and folding chairs for indoor seating options with a shelf full of board games and card games. They also had a projector displaying upcoming events at the brewery as well as community events. We both ended up getting the sampler. It was set up a little differently as you received one 4 oz glass (also a souvenir) where you try one beer at a time. It was nice because we could go out and enjoy the sunshine yet move around a little when it was time for the next sample. The beers themselves were pretty good and the price was very reasonable, especially leaving with a glass in hand! Oh yeah, and this brewery is dog friendly as well! Great tour (11am only, you know) by the brew master. We were bored to tears and wanting for a museum or two. None were open in January and I reluctantly agreed to a beer tour. I expected it to be another winery show and tell. I've been to lots of them, but no brewery tours. We were looking in the shop when a man introduced himself and I told him how little I knew of the brewing process and typing of beer and asked if there was a way to learn the structure and classification of beer and ales. He looked at their library of books to sell and began to explain the overall structure and brewing process. We went into the brewing part of the building (also has tables and bar areas) and he discussed process, styles and structure. He then walked us through the differences based on our choice of the 11? current beer and ales they had on hand to taste. We paid for the tastes and went through them one by one. So much work, so little time. We had a great time. We learned a ton. We loved their Winter Ale. We bought a case. No, we will never be able to buy their products in Albany, NY where we live. It was a GREAT TOUR and a GREAT TIME. Ask all the questions you want. A standout experience. read more

I have so many great things to say about this brewery. first thing, great variation in styles. they have a huge variety of styles and flavors that meets every flavor profile you're in the mood for. not only that, but every style we tasted were delicious!! we also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Beth. My husband, Tom, recognized her from a video Cape Cod Beer posted on Youtube. we recognized her and introduced ourselves and she sat and talked with us for 15 minutes. While their beer wouldn't be confused for Trillium or TreeHouse, Cape Cod Beer does make lots of great beer for everyone including beer snobs. I stopped at Cape Cod Beer's facility over the weekend & was definitely digging the vibe. The tap room is definitely roomy with tables & chairs to sit on plus an outside that had a corn hole game. They offer $5 tastings which gets you 5 pours & you can take the glass home. There was a pilot IPA, a hefeweizen & stout on tap along with some of their other year round offerings. They are definitely child & dog friendly. My 8 year old enjoyed playing board games while I was checking in my beers on Untappd. He had a blast & requested we stop on the way back from our trip on the Cape. They offer a bunch of great merch too. I got my son a yo-yo & some dog treats to bring home. A popular location to be sure, but as an established brewery, I'm surprised they haven't developed their beers more. They have some great events include run clubs and a farmers market/live music on Friday. You also have two choices when ordering beer: a tasting flight for $5 or a pint for $5. Choose from the five established beers that they have on tap, but don't expect something that will blow your tastebuds off if you're a brewery junkie. You'll get a nice local vibe here and might even feel inclined to grab one of the boardgames off the shelf in the brewery. Lots of games and very family friendly. They sell cider pop juice and popcorn too and had lots of tables and chairs. The lines for the tastings were long but went very fast. Everyone was friendly. We missed the tour thinking they were every hour starting at 11am but really they only do 1 tour at 11am each day. The blueberry coffee porter was delicious and my favorite thing there. Watermelon cider was ok but nothing to write home about. My husband is more the beer drinker and liked a lot of the options and would come back. I ended up here by accident. My husband told me to go to tour potato chips and I put in the wrong address and was surprised when we saw the sign for Cape Cod Beer. BEST MISTAKE EVER! We walked in and they have great out door seating, lots of it! Bring the dog! They have corn hole to play. You walk into the store where there are lots of cool local items for sale, walk through the store into what is a warehouse area. We bought a tasting for a very reasonable price that included keeping the small glass we were drinking out of and token to be used for each new round. We tried quite a few, some we loved and some we did not. We could walk around with the beers, inside and out. There are tons of games to play and puzzles. It was a great afternoon. BTW the chip place was a few minutes away and the whole 5 minutes we were there we kept saying that if it hadn't been for Cape Cod Beer the trip that day would have been a bust. They saved the day. We came here as part of an unofficial "brewery crawl" and I wanted to love it but the beer falls short. The set up is nice, their merch is cute, and they have the best tasting deal we saw (5 samples and a souvenir glass for $5!), but the beer is...not that good. It all sort of tasted the same to me and it's all pretty bitter. I would recommend checking it out if you have time but I wouldn't say it's a must-see. read more

I have to say, it was VERY interesting. I really enjoyed it. This is a small brewery and run by nice people. The guy giving the tour was great explaining everything; he actually made me interested in beer-making. My friend enjoyed it too - especially the free samples of 5 different types of beer (not surprisingly, she loved them all). She bought some jugs of beer they sell in the shop. One thing I liked too, was the shop. Besides their beer, they sell all kinds of cool stuff made by local folks. I like that. Keepin' it all in Cape Cod. If you buy this one big glass jug of beer, then bring back the jug - you get it refilled for less money. I like that recycle idea. Visit here. It's free. It's fun. What's not to like?! p.s. After my husband thoroughly enjoyed his Cape Cod Red during lunch yesterday we decided it was worth a stop to visit the brewery. We were too late for the once-a-day 11:00 tour, but there were free tastings to be had. Big disclaimer here, but I am not a beer drinker and am a huge disappointment to my home-brewing husband. The beer tasting portion of this review are his observations. There were around six beers on tap to sample and they all got a thumbs up from him, which is unusual. Usually at a brewery tasting he thinks a few are clunkers. There is a large cooler full of growlers to take home, which we did. This beer is not available in bottles or cans, just growlers. Pints of beer can be purchased for $5 each and they have tables set up so you can chill out and enjoy your beer. There is a good-sized store that sells all sorts of Cape Cod Beer merchandise as well as local items. I bought some of the local items for Christmas gifts. It was a surprise to see a section of homebrew supplies for sale as well as signs that they offer homebrew classes. This is the first brewery that I have seen offer that. All in all this was well worth the stop. read more

I am embarrassed--nay--ashamed, that I have been living on Cape Cod for five years and hadn't been to Cape Cod Beer. I think one of the reasons I never bothered to check it out was because the CC beers on most menus around here just include their IPA or other lighter beers. Not my taste, so I just kind dismissed the whole brand. Now I know better. I have been schooled. Cape Cod Beer has tons of beer and makes amazing special batch brews and has seasonal flavors and did oh my god this place is awesome. The indoor space is nice and big, and their flights are served via a weird token system that I actually kind of like. The merch area has a cooler where you can pick up bottles and cans (just clap your hands), plus snacky snacks and ice cream. And I just learned you can order your beer in there too! It's a little less crowded than the actual bar, and you can bring your dog in there (not the actual bar though). Oh yeah, totally dog friendly. It's actually how I started going there. They host a "yappy hour" on the second Tuesday of the month. Hang out in the outdoor tent, enjoy samples and a raffle from the pet shop next store and socialize with your dog. I will comment that yappy hour can alllmost get out of hand. Just like a dog park (but with leashes), so some dogs are not quite as friendly others. Combine with tipsy, distracted owners and you could easily have a scuffle. I've seen a couple close calls, so I don't drink if I'm there with Bellamy by myself. I should try the homemade root beer next time. Because they make homemade root beer. Service is amazing. Staff are all nice and helpful. You can pay for a growler or six-pack and then just run to the cooler to grab it later, so it stays cold. Expect to have any questions patiently answered by dude(ttes) who love beer. I can't believe I haven't gone to Cape Cod beer a zillion times. I am genuinely sorry. Please forgive me. Believe me, all the missed time I could have been chilling at this place is punishment enough. On the plus side, now that I know how awesome Cape Cod Beer is, I get to make up for lost time! read more

I've been a fan of the Cape Cod Red for a couple years now, and I finally decided to stop by the brewery this summer. Located in a warehouse near the Sears repair shop off of Phinney's Lane, my hopes weren't very high. It's kind of an old parking lot in an industrial area of the Cape (or as industrial as you can get near Hyannis Sand & Gravel). But, Cape Cod Beer is doing everything right! Immediately when you walk in there are freezers with growlers and individual 500ml flippers. That's pretty easy access! The shop is full of Cape Cod beer merchandise and beer-related merchandise in general. My guess is that it's probably the only place on Cape for homebrewers to get supplies in person. If you aren't visiting when there's a guided tour of the brewery, then don't miss the self-guided tour. The self-guided tour isn't much, but it's everything I wanted--a glimpse inside the brewery and free samples. Honestly, I'm not a fan of all their beers (I actually don't really dig the summer ale). But everyone at Cape Cod Beer is very nice and passionate. They will help you find a beer you enjoy! We had been drinking their beer at restaurants throughout the area, but finally got to drink it at their homebase! The brewery has a gift shop, outside eating area, and indoor brewery/tasting room. The brewery is a perfect adult playyard, with games setup throughout the brewery...There's cornhole, jenga, checkers, a foosball table, and plenty of board games to keep you company while you drink! Best of all, the beer tastings are affordable at 5 samples for $5! You even get to keep the tasting glass. My favorites here were the beach blonde, the summer, and the saison! My boyfriend and I went to Cape Cod Beer for the brewery tour and beer tasting. The brewery tour is free and only once a day at 11 am. The supposedly brewery tour is more of like a lecture of about 30 mins. I said "supposedly" tour because, since their facility is small, wherever the lecture took place is where the tour is as everything were there including the ingredients of the beer, the machines and equipment for brewing. We didn't even have to leave the room! I really liked it because it was informational...Now I have an idea on how to make beer! After the tour, we had beer tasting. $5 for 5 samples of beer and we get to keep the glass. Good deal! They even have a place where you could hang out, play board games and drink your beer samples. Cool! Staff were also friendly and approachable. Good job! Overall, I will definitely come back to this place. Can't wait! read more
