She helped us identify questions we didn't even know we should be asking. And helped us with the myriad decisions. Sera skillfully managed all of the vendors, a challenging non-traditional venue, and an overly ambitious bride and groom that wanted a parade between the ceremony and reception sites and to do a lot of the decor DIY. There were many moving parts but Sera was able to juggle them all and keep us focused on hosting our family and friends and just enjoying and being present on our wedding day. We were on the fence about hiring a wedding planner but hiring Sera was definitely the best decision we made!

I had searched and searched and even met with a couple other party planners and event specialists. This business has so many qualified people who can really pull out all the stops. I was really looking for a genuine connection with the person that I chose to work with for our very special event. I am so thankful that I was able to find that connection with Marshecka and then some!! The event I was planning was my daughter's Quinceanera. One of the most important days in a young woman's life in the latin culture! It is an event that comes together with the love and support of the entire family (immediate and extended) . Marschecka was so patient and accommodating as I had constant input and ideas that I was sharing with her. I was working with a budget but wanted the world :-) Marschecka was absolutely amazing when it came to taking my vision and working within my means!! She was able to secure a vendor that provided uplighting for the entire ballroom. WOW!! It was so beautiful! Just the lighting alone added such an amazing touch of class!! My family and daughter's friends complimented the lighting so much! She also secured a vendor that took care of the balloons for us. It was very important to us that we have balloons but that the room did not look informal or too childish. Marshecka and her vendor took our vision and found the perfect way to compliment the ballroom!! My vision was for the entire ballroom to have draping. I saw so many pictures online of events that were just breathtaking because of draping!! Unfortunately, that amazing decor comes at a very expensive price and I didn't have the budget for it. Marshecka was able to take the budget I did have and the vision I had and designed an absolutely magnificent backdrop and head table decor!! It was such a beautiful focal point!! Marshecka's style and execution was more than I could have imagined!! It was so wonderful to hear family and friends feel like they were at a royal event without it compromising my budget!! Marshecka was has a great heart and compassion!! I recommend her to anyone looking to plan a special event! I was in the latter category, and having never participated in the wedding planning process, I had no idea what a wedding coordinator did. I only found Marshecka after I had given serious consideration to cancelling what should have been a low key wedding reception. Simply stated, a wedding coordinator is the person you don't know you need until it really starts to hit the fan. When you're feeling overwhelmed, when your vendors go MIA after you've accepted their bid, when you have no idea how your venue is going to get setup in time for your event, when those you've hired to help aren't getting the job done, and when your significant other doesn't really seem interested in anything wedding related, this is your go to person. Do yourself a favor and hire Marshecka at the initial planning stages. Wedding coordinators may seem expensive, but you'll save yourself time and money if you aren't wedding savvy. My family and friends that came to help setup our venue and deliver the décor had nothing but positive things to say about Marshecka and her team. When they needed something, her response was, "I'm on it." I thought she was a bargain for all of the work she got accomplished, and believe me, with all of the décor and vendors at our reception, she had a lot of work to do. My only regret was not hiring her sooner, because I think she could have made my life much easier.

But from the moment we began working with her, everything fell into place. She took the time to get to know us, helped craft a beautiful vision for our wedding, and guided us through the entire process with so much patience and expertise. Even though Ramona was technically our "day of" coordinator, she was with us every step of the way. Her responsiveness was incredible - every time we had a question (and there were plenty!), she was quick to reply with the perfect solution. She was calm, confident, and took care of everything, making even the most complicated parts of planning seem easy. On the wedding day, nothing went wrong - seriously, not one thing. Ramona had everything under control, handling every detail flawlessly. We didn't have to stress about a single thing, which allowed us to have the most perfect day. Both of us are extremely busy re: our jobs and knew that we wouldn't be able to dedicate enough time to truly planning an event of this scale. If you're on the fence, go with Amazae. My husband, before we hired Amazae, was on the fence of whether or not we needed planning services. I told him that if we did not hire someone that there would be no wedding. By the time we had finished our venue search, he knew that I was totally right re: the amount of help you get by leveraging someone else's expertise. You do this once (hopefully) in your life. Amazae does this all the time. Amazae knew all the ins and outs of every venue that we could possibly think of in the Bay Area, Carmel, and Napa. They were able to tell us who was beer and wine only, who had a 10pm end time because of noise ordinances, and who required you to use certain caterers that were $x per head. This will save you SO much time and save you visits to random places that don't meet your requirements. Vendor sourcing - they are super good at this re: figuring out (or making you figure out what you like) who matches your style for every vendor, then finding one that fits in your budget. Most importantly, they will make sure everyone shows up (join any wedding FB group and read some horror stories). They will help you with all of the contracting and the collection of COIs, etc. Again, this would have been IMPOSSIBLE for myself and my now husband. We literally do not have the hours in the day to do this. This team is on top of everything - they will chase you down if they need to for answers for pieces of your event. They can make anything happen - from the weirdest requests to the most mundane. They are so professional, and they really make your wedding super personal. Amazae designed and executed a beautiful event from beginning to end that felt so authentic to us. Day of, they were there to take care of everything, and it was truly a flawless day. We could not asked for a better planner re: Crystal, Kaila, and the rest of the team. We put full trust in them re: the design of this event and the day of. Example: I honestly did not know what florals were going to be there, but they were so stunning. The strength of the Amazae team is in their ability to bring you and your personality into an event that is mostly structured a certain way. They also make your day as stress-free as possible. I cannot say enough positive things about this team and their ability to make your wedding great. If you're down to hand things off to someone else, I would say hand it off to them. It will be better than what you could have come up with yourself.

    Planning a wedding during a pandemic is hard, even a micro-wedding. You don't want to be cake…read moretasting or menu tasting, so you rely on experts. That's why we decided to hire an event planner for our daughter's wedding in January 2021. Even though it was a small backyard wedding, we wanted it to be memorable and elegant. We interviewed 3 different event planners, and got 3 rough quotes, all around the same ballpark. Amazae's quote, however, was the most detailed, breaking down a high & low range for each item (food, florals, rentals, photography, etc.) It was an easy choice to contract with them. Crystal came onsite for our first meeting, and I really didn't have a lot for her to go on. My daughter isn't the Pinterest type, so I just told Crystal the wedding colors and showed her pictures of the wedding gown and bridesmaid gowns. The rest of the planning was all done via zoom, emails, and a few phone calls. We worked mostly with Caitlin, who is an amazing planner. Each step along the way, she gave us several options to choose from. For example, she provided a list of 4 photographers, their quote for the day, their profile, their gallery, etc. Once all of our choices were made, she put together a design deck that gave us a preview of the entire wedding. It was more gorgeous than I envisioned. On the day of the wedding, Lisa came out to set everything up. She even picked up the florals and wedding cake to save us the delivery fees. It was a little hectic when I met her, and I probably spent 5 minutes with her showing her where everything was before we left for the church ceremony. And when we came back, she was driving off, leaving behind a magical transformation of yard. Everyone was stunned. The catering crew then took over and prepared a "Top Chef" level meal. And when they left, my kitchen was as clean as when they arrived. My husband commented, "Whatever we paid for this wedding, it was worth every penny." Haha. True. From the first moment I met them for a consultation to the last moment when the lights came on after our last dance at the wedding they were there every step of the way. My husband and I live in Long Beach Ca. and having our wedding in Grass Valley turned out to be a daunting task to execute. So we decided to hire a day of coordinator. We chose Dyane and Jeff for their expertise and experience. Not to mention we clicked right away and I felt completely comfortable in their presence. The overwhelming task of planning a wedding from a fare lessened once my husband and I chose Dyane and Jeff. Let me just say that they go above and beyond what a day of event planner typically handles. They contacted all of our vendors for us multiple times leading up to the wedding insuring everyone was on the same page. They have worked many weddings at the Mines so they are familiar with the rules and regulations that come with having a wedding in a State Park. I brought a lot of DIY stuff and only having 2 hours to set up was daunting task but they handled it to a T. This was because there were multiple e mails and phone calls leading up to the big day. Once again going above and beyond for being a day of event planner! Dyane and Jeff accompanied me on the 30 day walk threw with the park rangers and Dyane was not afraid to be assertive on my behalf with the vision I had for guest once entering the park. Normally the park rangers have the guests enter at a certain location but my vision was to have them enter threw the gardens to get the full experience the park has to offer. One of the Rangers was hesitant to this idea because it had never been done before. Dyane knew this was important to me and was vocal with the ranger and made it happen. Another "issue" was that we had lawn games at the wedding and wanted a place for guest to be able to put their drink and tray passed hourderves while they played their games. The Rangers did not want cocktail tables on the lawn game area which would have made the games difficult to play. Once again they made multiple phone calls to the Rangers on our behalf and needless to say we had cocktail tables on the lawn game area! All of our friends and family said it was the most beautiful wedding that they had ever been to. The venue it self is a great backdrop for an enchanting wedding but the flow and vision of the wedding executed with experts like Dyane and Jeff left it as a magical evening everyone will remember! They kept the night flowing with the behind the scenes details all the while trending to my husband and I to make sure we were taken care of and happy. I can't say thanks enough to these two amazing human beings! They definitely have a great thing going! If you want a stress free magical event where you, friends, and family don't have to lift a finger and just enjoy what should be the best day of your life......... They were open to other ideas, and very flexible and accommodating. The venue is huge, so it can accommodate a large wedding if needed. Our wedding was about 150 people, and there was more than enough room. It's surrounded by beautiful walnut orchards and you can see the valley and mountains from different parts of the venue, which was totally our vibe; we loved it. The bridal suite and backyard where the men are designated to hang out are both very nice. The backyard is cool and shaded and chairs are provided, so all the guys needed was an ice chest for their beer. The bridal suite was great with it's historic charm, and beautiful farmhouse vibe. It was also handy that the small kitchen is available to all us girls since we were there all day. The price point for what you get with the venue is very fair in my opinion. I shopped around and checked other venues, most local in Yolo County, but a few others in Sacramento and surrounding areas. I absolutely loved that we get the ranch for 3 days, it took off so much pressure when you're planning and putting together your wedding yourself. We used a day of coordinator, but just family and friends helped to set up and breakdown everything, and it worked out great. Other venues didn't compare when I looked at what was included in their packages. As the bride, it was a great start to begin checking things off the list; it certainly made it a little easier that so much was included. Overall, we really enjoyed working with Brent and Chelsea. Although, the ranch is a fairly new venue, it's a great place for a wedding. They are constantly making improvements to make the Big Day easier or more beautiful. Even from when we first walked the venue in December 2017, to our wedding in September 2018, improvements were made and it made our day even easier and more special.
