Such a beautiful venue, and honestly, I think it deserves some more attention and appreciation! As…read morethe photographer of my sister's wedding, I knew that lighting was going to be important. The lighting here was really nice once it was past noon. The inside of the chapel was timeless and beautiful. It is a lot roomier than I expected inside. The chapel pretty much comes with everything you will need, including the stereo system and a changing room for the bride. We didn't even decorate the chapel because it was pretty enough the way it was. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a venue in Solano County. The history of the chapel is amazing, and the people who work here clearly adore and care for the chapel. Side note to citizens not involved in the wedding ceremony, please take couple pictures somewhere else when you obviously see a photographer trying to get photos of the bride and her party! I had shots be completely ruined or have to be heavily edited due to activity from unknown parties taking their own random photos in the background of the chapel. We had the chapel reserved at this time, and it really did stress out the bride as well. I did my best to avoid them, but still, common courtesy says this is a once in a lifetime event and please be respectful of that!

They were both so kind and sweet. They greeted us and helped us out with so much. We really enjoyed them! Jen is also amazing! She is very available, ready to help, and easy to reach -- which isn't something you find often. They were all around just great!

As with everything in life , there are good and bad things to say about The Wedding Chapel which…read moregives me mixed feelings but I'll give my opinion about what I liked and didn't like when I recently held my weding and reception here. Pros: The cost- all day usage, bridal bouquet, flower girl pedals and groomsmen pens, set up, clean up and minister all for a little over 1k. What a steal. Parking is great, location is prime, The ladies that were at the flower shop pitched in and helped with the little things that were going wrong or that we were behind on and they were so nice. You dont have to have security even if you"re serving alcohol and they provide you with insurance. They have a bar area with an indoor and outdoor fridge/freezer, stove and a seperate bathroom for the bride to get ready with a full size mirror. They are genorous with letting you see the chapel as many times as you want before hand and do not make you feel rushed. Cons- The place needs some TLC. The chapel smells old and looks a little outdated, the rose bushes had dry dead roses, and the 'garden area' was all greenery and did not have any flowers. We instructed the minister that we did not want the ceremony to drag on and didnt want to introduce our family and friends or give out roses but he did it anyway, putting us on the spot and dragging out the ceremony slightly. Although I am sure his intentions were good, we asked not to have a religious ceremony bc we had several different religions attending and we are not religious people but he still said prayers and spoke often of Jesus Christ. He also told my groom that I wanted the rose ceremony when I did not say that so I think he is just set in his ways and will perform whatever ceremony he thinks is best. Also they don't rehearse with you what they are going to say until several minutes before which I thought was unorganized and they do not have papers to send home with you about what the cost of the wedding includes or copies of anything you sign, it is almost like they play everything by ear and you have to either remember what they said or bring your own pen and paper to write everything down. If I could make a suggestion, it would be to invest some money back into the place, remodel the inside, take better care of the landscaping, update the paperwork and make brochures and contracts and use a Minister that respects the wishes of the bride and groom. :

I had my wedding here on June 23rd 2007 and it was perfect. It's a small place with a guest cap of…read more65... and they mean it. I'm glad no more people showed up because it just would have been too cramped. The chapel itself is an old house with a large, well lit front room perfect for the wedding. We had our reception out in the 'back yard' which is more like a patio area. The cost of the event, flowers, etc was great.

Worked out great since many mutual friends were already in Reno and conveniently there is a chapel just down the escalators from the main floor. Beautiful venue. Simplistic and very high-end all at once. Rows of chairs on either side of the aisle with an altar, some steps, and a piano at the front. All of the small details were handled perfectly - a sign announcing the bride and groom, wedding cake, and celebratory drinks on top of the piano. Behind the scenes (literally behind a very decorative curtain) is a back area with rooms for privacy to change and prepare for the big day. The pastor was great. A friend played the piano as a wedding march and then sang a beautiful song for the couple. Huge congrats to our friends AnnMarie and Michael. So glad we were able to be there for them at their nuptials - especially in such a wonderful setting. If you're looking for a place to get married in Reno you can't go wrong with this hidden gem of a chapel within the Grand Sierra Resort.

I remember that it was decently clean, and decently organized, hence the decent rating. I dont remember very much of that day, just nerves, Crown Royal stashed in a 16oz water bottle (brides cousin, thanks Jim!), and of course my best mans comforting words..."Dude, im driving you over to the chapel now. We can totally leave town, RIGHT NOW! Im serious. Im just offering." I would not wish marriage on anyone, but if you are hellbent on doing it, might as well do it here. I recommend that you elope, get married by the city and save the $1200 price tag that getting married here cost me, and have a really cool honeymoon. But, what do i know.
