This is the vegetable curry, they insisted was not soup. Which you can clearly see is soup filled up with onions and mushroom.

Today was horrible. We spent $80 and left hungry. We ordered curry and it came out as soup. When we commented to the kid server, he said that's how we make it. DONT ORDER THE CURRY! It was all onions and few mushrooms and a couple carrots. We ended up leaving it on the table. Another thing that happened, was we ordered avocado rolls and asked to add cream cheese. When they came they didn't have cream cheese, I commented that was fine, but the server insisted the chef remake it because he was going to eat the ones without cream cheese. WHAT!!! Very disappointed in Canton House! Please don't advertise a food item as curry when it's soup. We didn't even get an apology. Will not be going back.

I am on deployment in Juneau, Alaska. My co-worker took me to Canton Asian Bistro. We ordered appetizers, crab Rangoon, was banging, and potstickers were tasty. I love the crunchiness of both appetizers. We also ordered the Las Vegas sushi roll, which was like an explosion in my mouth. I notice they had Mongolian beef on their menu but I prefer it spicy, so I ordered 3 pepper spice levels for my dish. My co-worker ordered his favorite the green curry chicken, which is spicy. The service is quick and the food is delicious. I will definitely be returning to eat more of their sushi. Their sushi is very fresh and they have many different rolls to choose from. When you visit Juneau, Alaska is sure you check out Canton Asian Bistro. To all my yelpers, let us continue to eat our way through the world. #FOODIE4LIFE.

The 911 roll ($28.95) has two different tunas on top. Not that you can taste the bottom one with the spicy tuna on top.

I don't know why I bother, but every couple of years I try it again as I tell myself it can't be that bad. Every time I swear never again. From the questionable food to the poor service. NEVER AGAIN!

The sushi is super yummy. The food had a pretty presentation and the restaurant provided fast service. I would comment their only real downside is the prices being high.

Pulled up to this odd shaped building, looked like a dental office if you know what I mean. I wasn't expecting much but let me tell you, the inside was immaculate. So clean and beautifully decorated. I ordered the sushi and was not disappointed. I even requested a roll that wasn't on the menu and our amazing waitress Alice made magic happen. It was like a sunshine roll and they did it just how I explained . I also ordered the Las Vegas & Play Boy Roll... mmmmm it was all amazing. My boyfriend and I were in heaven. I will definitely go back the next time I'm in town. Thanks Canton Staff and especially Alice

Canton House was one of the first restaurants we tried out when we moved to Juneau, and we have had great experiences every time we return. Something that I can't say for all of the restaurants in Juneau, sadly. It was on the list of places we had to take my Dad while he was in town, and it was Dave's choice for his birthday dinner this month. I love that they give you a tea kettle full of steaming hot green tea to enjoy while you wait for your food. Their sushi is incredible, but then again you can't really go wrong with ordering sushi in Alaska...I mean, the fish was just caught down the street! I love their kung pow shrimp and always say I'm going to try something new, but who am I kidding? Dave has loved all the chicken entries he's tried, and the lo mien is great, but don't order it if you like the typical thick noodles. We also enjoy the crab rangoons, if we feel like reeeeeeally splurging. ;)

From Reno, NV and we have a lot of Cantonese and Asian places. I would say this place is spot on. We had a party of 16 and they brought out food quickly and it was hot!! Favorites Fried rice - pick one. It has a nice smokey flavor from being stir fried. Chicken UDON - plentiful and tasty Pot stickers we liked by the group but were fried. Prefer steamed. Overall a nice find and short walk from the Travelodge.

My grandson totally approves of the sushi!

Very slow service for lackluster food, staff treats you like you're an inconvenience being there.

It was not overly battered and perfectly fried. It was so fresh. The sidewinder fries were awesome! The Drive Through burger was delicious and the fries were also yummy. We got the pickles in the side - the person running the truck told us he makes the pickles. They were sooooo good. He also brought out a sample of the bbq chicken for us and it was very good. We sat at the table outside and ate the food and it was great! I will absolutely be back here the next time I am in Juneau. This place is a must-try!

While this isn't my favorite (try Sandbar), the fish is fresh and it's pretty hard to complain. Another win for fish and chips in the area. The shape of the potatoes is a bit weird looking, but surprisingly it works and they were nice and crispy. I did think the fish batter was a tad doughy on the inside, and yet a little overcooked on the outside. Not the end of the world though, and I still enjoyed it. We did stop by during the week for lunch and the truck was closed, which was a bit annoying. One of the brewery employees said this place doesn't always open reliably, for various reasons. Just something to be aware of. Better luck on the weekends. Overall it's a nice spot right next to the Alaskan Brewing Company, which has lots of great beers and a nice patio spot out back to eat your fish, have a beer, and hang out with your dog. Yum!

"CRAB HEAVEN ON EARTH MIGHTY GOD"…read more This is every crab lover's dream. I was anticipating this place from the moment we arrived @ 8:00am wanting to skip breakfast and just eat crabs. Anybody who takes the ALASKA cruise always know you have to stop at Tracy's to experience the huge crab legs. The moment we got off of the boat at the boat, we caught a shuttle which dropped us off. We completed some souvenir shopping and next stop was TRACY's. We noticed the line at Tracy's #1 but we were informed of ALL YOU CAN EAT CRABS @ TRACY'S #2. It was a pretty distance walking but we decided to start and begin hiking. I saw a bicycle tour guide and asked if he could give me a tour on the way to TRACY's while the rest of the crew walked. We arrived at TRACY's # 2 and it was a nice short line. We hurry up and jumped in the line and ready to explore these HUGE CRABS. The back yard party was very unique and well kept. It looked your own huge backyard. As you walk into the garden area the bathrooms are to the left and to the right is the line which orders are taking at a small cottage house. Then the next stop is the beer hut, then the last hut is where magic is made with CRABS. In between the Order house and the Beer house there is a unique wide open wash hand station with foot pedal. Then to add richness to it, there is MEYERS GOOD SOAP, nothing cheap. (THANK YOU TRACY FOR KEEPING OUR HANDS SMELLING GOOD). The last house is where the MAGIC happens, The crabs are cooked and sorted. One unique touch is how they call your name according to your city and name. We got the combo- crab bisque, Alaskan red crab legs, crab cake and butter/bread rolls for $98. An amazing deal compared to many other crab places, and the food did not disappoint. We looked around and decided onTwisted Fish Company, what a find. We got a table for eight after a brief wait. Our lovely waitress explained the menu items. We added another couple in the middle of dinner and the staff took it in-stride and delivered those dishes quickly without complaint. Other diners we talked to raved about the halibut. The prices appeared reasonable for the quality of the food and the service from Bella. I was lucky enough to have Alaskan king crab legs last year when I traveled Alaska by land so that was not on my must eat this year. King salmon that I fell in love with last year was though, so when I saw Twisted Fish had it and some of their fishes were accompanied by local rhubarb and blueberry chutney, I was sold as I am all about eating local. Unfortunately, grilling the king salmon dried it out so it did not have that beautiful buttery texture that makes King salmon special. Sadly I felt the king salmon I roasted at home was closer to what I had in Anchorage last year than this one. Even though the twisted fish plate only had Taku Salmon, I found the halibut in that one was much better and wish I went with a full order of halibut instead, especially since that came with the local rhubarb and blueberry chutney.
