Stopped in Juneau on a Celebrity cruise tour. Fast service great customer service. Crab legs were great the soup and crab cakes were just okay. Your in Alaska so the cost was about $90 for the combo i choose and glass of wine. But its all about the experience. Line gets long in the afternoon. But worth it

It goes fast don't let the line fool you! What can I even say??? I was so skeptical but once I ate here my mind is blown!!!! The music is amazing, love the seating and the food alone is to die for!!!!!!! It is not a tourist trap. It is pricey but I did the combo with gold crab and then a leg portion of snow crab fried fish and fries. The fried shrimp wasn't great but the gold crab was MAGIC and the crab cakes sauce was fire and great to use for dipping!

YUMMMMY! Talk about some of the best bites we've ever had. Being big crab lovers, we knew we had to stop by Tracy's for that Alaskan king crab and were glad we did. All the staff were friendly and very helpful bringing around extra butter and helping people find seating. Make sure you place your order before finding a seat! We were told red king crab season October to April so the legs were flash frozen so we knew we wanted to get some of the fresh Norton sound crab. Although a bit smaller in size the sweetness was absolutely mouthwatering. Will admit these guys are pretty prickly, and will make you work for your bite it's worth every arm wrestle for that meaty morsel. We opted for the crab shack combo with the red king crab which came with 4 crab cakes, and bisque. The bisque was tomato-y and sweet, yummm. The crab cakes were crispy and delicious, we thought the shrimps were large but not something you must try on the menu. We ordered 2lbs of the Norton Sound crab which was delicious and some of the best crab we've had

Tracy's king crab was a big tourist recommendation while in Juneau. Honestly, it was so worth it! The crab, crab cakes, bisque, & the whole experience of eating it was so much fun! The interior decor was super cute and really made you feel you were a local in Alaska. Even for it being super busy, the service was quick & the waitress even took time to teach us how to properly crack our crabs. Def stop here on your visit!

This place is the bomb! Local vibe, talked to the manager and cooks about the Red king crab and snow crab. These guys killed it! If you're thinking about the price it's totally worth it! Soooo good! Local brew on tap for the guys and friendly staff is great! Keep it up guys! All way from Houston Texas.

Tracy's King Crab was so delicious! I absolutely loved the sauce that came with the crab cakes! There was a hint of smoky bbq flavor. The crab itself was super meaty and sweet. Well worth the money when you're here. The line moves rather quickly and the vibes are definitely all there! I loved the amazing music they played and the open seating is probably an introverts nightmare, but you can try to get your own table in the patio. I love speaking with many different people so the open tables seating was amazing to hear banter and to share amazing memories and tips since everyone is coming off the different cruise ships.

Delicious. Fresh Alaskan king crab. I personally prefer Cajun butter. But this isn't a Cajun or creole place. Make sure you ask for extra butter. The coleslaw wasn't bad either. Bread was meh.

Tracy's was fine. We tried this place after our whale spotting tour and found the line to be much shorter than during the beginning of the offshore. You will order at the front, and then sit down and wait until they call your order. They bring it it to you and you get to shuckin', smashin, and getting your crab on. We ordered a pound of snow crab and a pound of Dungeness. It was crabby. The order comes with the butter and two biscuits...certainly plenty of crab for two, but if you like crab...maybe not enough. There is a 10% military discount. The servers are all pretty young, and they understand their customers come from the cruise. They were all very friendly. They brought out our food when the orders were up. There is a separate bar area where you can get beer on tap or in cans, merch, and wine. ProTip: Wait until later in the day and you will find a much shorter line. Kinda like the Anchor Bar in Buffalo, there is no shame in trying out the Tracy's in Juneau,...once.

After a few hours at Mendenhall, we came back to Juneau starving. Prior to our cruise we had already made up our mind to hit up Tracy's so off we went. Waited in line for a bit, but not an overly terrible wait. Getting to order, we ended up getting a 3lb bucket of red king crab. The restaurant was pretty busy, but it wasn't too hard to find seating and our order was promptly brought to our table. The bucket came with some rolls and coleslaw, nothing too amazing, but a nice side to the crab. We also got the crab cakes, which were just ok, needed a little more texture to my liking. The crab though, amazing. Tender and delicious, the king crab did not disappoint. This time around they were sold out of the golden king crab, so we only got the red king crab. Next time we're in Juneau hopefully we get in a bit earlier to give that a try.

Was there shortly after opening on Wed AM so no line and quick to get our food, plenty of seats and grabbed a seat on the covered patio. King and Dungeness crabs - amazing obviously but they just had to boil it. Appreciate the claw tool! So easy. Chowder and rice was flavorful and a nice compliment to the crab Crab cakes were ok Snow crab nachos were a waste of calories/time/$/stomach space - soggy and the sauce overwhelmed the crab.

Great location, great atmosphere, and great food! The sauce that came with the crab cakes was fantastic. We got the snow crab and the king crab, both were great, but I preferred the snow crab! Staff was helpful and informative! This is a must visit spot in Juneau! Especially for those visiting on the cruise ships!

    Easy to find!

Expensive... but well worth it! The biggest, freshest Carb Legs I've ever eaten. Want to book another trip to Alaska to get more! You order at the counter, find a seat at a shared table, and wait for this amazing meal to come for your feeding. The crab was excellent. Huge chunks of succulent meat that come out of the shells with just a little work (not too bad). Plenty of down butter is made available. Tracy's King Crab Shack is a must visit for crab lovers. Skip the cruse ship mundane food and shell out a couple hundred for this meal... it's worth it.

I wanted Alaskan King Crab for my birthday dinner, so we went to Tracy's King Crab Shack 2. Unfortunately, it had closed early due to inclement weather, and we were disappointed. Thankfully, we called the original Tracy's King Crab Shack, and Jeremy answered. Even though they were about to close the kitchen, he kindly said they would wait for us. We ordered the Red King Crab Combo, the Dungeness Crab Combo, and the Beer Battered Shrimp. Each combo came with crab bisque, crab cakes, and rolls. Everything was delicious, but the Red King Crab was especially juicy, tender, and full of flavor. The place is a simple shack, nothing fancy, but the food and service were both excellent. Jeremy kept checking in on us, brought us water, and even took pictures for us. He really made the whole experience great. Highly recommend if you're craving fresh crab legs and good vibes. My birthday dinner turned out perfect!

They sell out of various menu items throughout the day.

How late are they open in May?

    yes

How far is it from port?

If arriving by cruise ship, it's minutes away depending on where your ship docks - super close! (I walked there easily with my toddler :)

What is the 2022 opening date?

What months is Tracy's open in 2021?

    May 15

Do they have any alternative for someone who cannot eat shellfish?

Cole slaw and french fries. Oh, and BEER!

Is it possible to buy king crab legs and salmon and ship to my home at area zip code 44056 before you close down on the 30th of September?

Sorry...I don't know the answer. I think you can call them.

Is this place open in March?

I don't think so. Tracy's is right on the cruise ship dock, and they cater primarily to the cruise ship passengers. Alaska cruises run from May - September. They might be open slightly before and after. Their website states they are closed for the… Read more

The restaurant was crowded and loud, which I understand can happen in a popular tourist spot, but the staff seemed completely overwhelmed and uninterested in helping customers. What bothered me most was the service from our waitress, Summer. In my experience, she came across as disrespectful and dismissive the entire time we were there. Simple questions about the menu felt like an inconvenience to her, and the attitude we received made the whole meal uncomfortable. We were rushed while ordering, had long waits for drinks and food, and when we tried to politely ask about the delay, the response felt rude instead of helpful. The food itself was average at best and definitely not worth the prices. Some items arrived lukewarm, and parts of our order were incorrect. By the time everything was fixed, the rest of the table had already finished eating. The atmosphere may appeal to tourists looking for the "old saloon" vibe, but customer service should still matter no matter how busy a place is. Overall, this was one of the least enjoyable dining experiences I've had in Alaska. Between the poor service, long waits, and disrespectful attitude we experienced from Summer, I wouldn't choose to come back or recommend it to others. I hope management takes customer concerns more seriously in the future because the location and concept have a lot of potential.
