STAY AWAY - STAY AWAY - STAY AWAY - STAY AWAY - STAY AWAY - STAY AWAY - STAY AWAY - STAY AWAY - Alert - go across the street to the Rookery for much better coffee and food. You can thank me later,. warning = I am not the type of guy that complains about everything. in fact after all of these years this may be one of my first complaints on yelp. I only complain when something is really really bad. STAY AWAY - STAY AWAY - STAY AWAY - STAY AWAY - STAY AWAY - STAY AWAY - STAY AWAY - STAY AWAY - I started coming in about twice a week because of a certain convenience - ive had bad experiences before but ya never know things can change. I got food sickness on my very first visit and that put me out for a year and a half. i noticed that the same homeless dude who hasn't had a bath in months is sitting in the best seat of the quiet area for hours on end. Ive never been there when he wasn't there. he is ALWAYS there. there was another guy across the isle from him who was sleeping with a third homeless guy sitting next 2 him. only the original guy had a drink. It's really disgusting,. the smell of this person was an admixture of dried vomit, fecal matter, head lice, rotting flesh and a straw like odor. truly terrible. i don't care what the rules are - proper management would have noticed long before any complaint and would have done something about it. Instead - they treat the place like a cattle ranch knowing that most who come in will never come in again. It's great to have a tourist location but it can lead to a stupefaction where they can't see what's in front of their eyes which is the case here. I brought all of this up to employees and then "management" . The "manager" gaslight me and was dismissive concerning a very valid complaint that any moron can see or smell. she is a typical idiot - lacking in critical thinking skills but acting supremely confident. so my complaint is that i don't think the place is being run very well and the management isn't really keen on providing a great environment. my experience tells me these attitudes usually extend to the food being served so at this point I advise people to not go.. right across the street is the Rookery with a far better cost to benefit ratio and great service - same coffee too. If you are downtown Coppa is a great place which would not allow rotting homeless people for 1 hot minute so just skip this stink hole. if you want to hike up to rainbow foods you can get a cup of the same coffee for 1.50 and every customer is greeted with a smile . Trust me neither the Rookery or The Rainbow (4th and franklin) would allow people using their business as a homeless shelter. SO I am not going to go for a whole year and I am instructing my wife and daughter to not go. I just did the numbers - it's going to cost them at least 1300 for letting an environment like this persist. This is not much but hey screw you - you keep your fecal matter smelling loitering customers and your tweeny first job "barristas" and I will keep my money - deal. the "management" could have used common sense and said " hey thanks for letting us know, if it persists we will take care of it" instead of being instantly contentious which is so annoying when you are trying to help the business with something that is so obvious. So STAY AWAY - there are much better options. I will check back in in a year so hopefully the turnover will offer a better result - it couldn't be much worse. STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY ps - a friend of mine showed me where this guy goes and shits in someone's yard. Imagine this coming a coffee shop near you. I ran and got my 50,000 Hassleblat camera to give you a great hi rez picture of what heritage coffee has to offer. cheers Dr Sparks Ps _ I did a little inpsection and the place is filthy from top to bottom. try to avoid the bathrooms - yeah this place is terrible. its just horrible management that's all. STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY PPS - I will take this review down if managements sends me a 30 page paper on how to run a decent coffee shop. until then - screw you!!

Friendly service, great coffee, tasty Baja breakfast burrito and delicious scone. Plenty of room to take in the morning in Juneau before we board our cruise later today.

Solid Americano here! Great flavor with just the right amount of ice and cream. We didn't try the gelato or pastries, but they looked good. They also have a good selection of coffee gear along with the obligatory branded t-shirts, etc.

Visiting Juneau and saw this cute little coffee shop. Ordered a lavender latte. It was so delicious with lots of froth. Girls at the register were super nice. This establishment was super cute with lots of locals. If you're visiting, you gotta stop.

Good hot breakfast. Spacious place with lots of seats. Hot breakfast was surprisingly yummy. The Breakfast Melt with bacon was tasty.

We stopped at this coffee shop to write out some postcards and warm up after wandering around downtown Juneau, which was our first cruise port for our Alaskan voyage. I had an iced matcha latte. The cashier let me know that it comes unsweetened and offered to add in my choice of sweetener. I thought that was a nice touch, as I order matchas all the time and have never been told this at other shops. Despite a small exterior, this shop has ample seating inside, in addition to the offering of free (fast) wifi for those of us with phones that are confused by the geographical change. In addition to a wide variety of beverages, Heritage Coffee also has hot food options and an assortment of gelato available. It seems like a pretty busy meeting and working place for locals and visitors alike. I really enjoyed our time here!

Stopped by because caffeine was needed and I'm a sucker for cute coffee spots. It was a good amount of space and I just felt the need to read a book or people watch. There wasn't a long wait and the employees were able to assist us when we walked in. They were friendly and helpful with the questions I had. I just ordered a simple doppio with heavy cream because I wasn't craving any sugar at the moment haha I gotta say their espresso was strong and it definitely helped me stay energized throughout the day we were there. I wished I had this coffee shop in my hometown, but it's okay. Maybe I'll visit next time I'm in Juneau :)

Cranberry Almond Scone + Turtle Mocha

I had the Turtle Mocha (mocha with macadamia nut and caramel sauce) and a Cranberry Almond scone and both were delicious!!! The Cranberry Almond Scone blew me away by how moist it was. The place is huge and would be a great place to get work done on your laptop.

Best coffee I have had in the last week! They have soy alternatives which was a blessing, because I like the soy flavor! Sit by the window and enjoy the cruise tourists walking by!

This unique coffee shop sits in the heart of downtown. If you're staying at a nearby hotel or are in port with a cruise ship, I highly recommend checking this place out. Heritage coffee has been around for 50 years. They just celebrated their 50th anniversary. Coffee is good and the overall setup is nice. Heritage Coffee offers a nice rustic Alaskan ambiance as you walk inside and hang out to enjoy their food and coffee. Perfect place to grab a quick breakfast before starting your day. They offer breakfast sandwiches, breakfast burrito and assorted pastries. I believe I also saw a yogurt parfait in their cooler section where the cold drinks are. I had a sausage, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich this morning with a blueberry lemon pastry. Both were good. I would order again. Their coffee is also good too. I've been to some places in other states where the coffee is below average or awful. Staff is friendly too. This morning I chatted it up with a few of their staff members. Both are young ladies who were personable and friendly. There is also plenty of dining and seating here. I'm impressed with the number of tables and chairs to sit at. Loved the window seating with gorgeous views of the mountains that hug the downtown area. I will return here again before departing Juneau!

Needed a coffee fix at 5pm, came in to this location a little after 5 and they still served us even though they were closing up. The gelato was already put away which was a bummer because we were looking for good gelato and coffee! Not much in the case for baked good either...but again, they were closing so I totally understand. Others walked in and they still continued to serve. They were friendly our entire visit. i ordered a dirty chai and I really liked the flavor of the chai! It had a perfect chai spice to it! Lots of places to sit and a lot of cute merch too!

Stopped in to get out of the cold and grab some hot coffee! This place was busy with tourists and locals so we knew it was the place to be! The ladies taking the orders were super nice and friendly and helped me pick out my coffee! They had non dairy options for milk which I was super grateful for! If we happen to come back to Juneau, we will definitely be back! There's plenty of seating inside as well to escape the cold!

We only had the coffee, it was good. The place is filthy though. I don't think that the base of the toilet has ever been cleaned. The floors look dirty too.

I like that they offer freshly baked pastries to go along with various coffee drinks they serve. This is a standard coffee shop that doesn't have a dining room. It's all window service. They're located directly across from the tram in downtown Juneau. Perfect for grabbing a coffee and pastry before heading up the tram or walking Franklin Street in downtown Juneau. I didn't try their coffee yet. I may grab a cup before heading out of town tomorrow. Each visit I bought a baked goodie for a dessert or breakfast option. I like that their baked goods are individually wrapped and neatly placed in plastic cubby hole containers directly fly in from of their coffee stand. It's grab and go. Don't forget to pay before you go! Each staff member I spoke with has been friendly. They come across as polite too. Not the "just pay your bill and leave us alone"mentality. I recommend this place as a coffee or coffee and pastry option. They're reasonably priced as well. Will visit again before I leave town.
