What little fish in the tacos (which I was told was grouper) was tasty, but the tacos hardly had anything in them. The rice was very dry. Black beans were tasty, but again, a very small portion. Guac was good. Street corn not worth the charge. Mango sorbet had good flavor. I think more authentic food is available for less money in another venue. read more

Two stars for a wonderful stylish and fun ambience and a round of drinks on the house after waiting an hour and a half for our food. The cornbread was flavorful with a delicious dipping sauce but it was cold. For entrees we ordered the steak chimichanga and the spinach and mushroom enchiladas. Both were soggy and the textures were off from being microwaved yet the dishes were still cold. The runners and servers are very confused and kept wandering the dining room looking bewildered every time they came out with something. Someone brought us our check by accident when we were still waiting for our entrees which, again, were cold and soggy. Bummer :( read more

Have been here numerous times, always enjoyed their food before. Yesterday, however something was different. Had the Cantinas Enchiladas. Now, the menu does say that the enchiladas are smothered in cheese and enchilada sauce, but I've never seen anything like this before. The enchilada sauce, (which tasted like Ragu marinara sauce spiced with a little cayenne pepper), was thick, and super deep. Somewhere down in the sauce were the enchiladas, but it was hard to tell. The tortillas were so soggy that they were nothing more than mush. Trying to scrape the marinara, (oops, I mean enchilada sauce), off the enchiladas would take the tortillas with it. Could taste nothing but the sauce, whatever it was. My wife had the Cantina Mexican Rice Bowl. She had to ask for the avocados, as they weren't in the bowl as described. She stated that it wasn't really very good, but that it might have been better if it were any warmer than slightly lukewarm. As I said, every time before that we've been there, it has been great. Friends went there for their first time recently and said they didn't enjoy. After yesterday, we understand why. Something has changed, be it management, chef, recipes or something. read more

The old Barnett Bank building redone! Wow. The teller line is now the bar, the vault is a private party sitting area and the commercial construction area upstairs is now extra seating. Was the food good? YES!! It was a Friday night and the place was hopping. We were able to secure a table in the bar area and we ordered a margarita right away. Yum! We really liked the atmosphere, the murals and the table settings. The server was attentive but allowed us time to enjoy the drinks and queso fundido. Our meal came out piping hot. While everything was good, I highly recommend the Molcajete Mixto for the variety of steak, shrimp, chicken, the roasted vegetables and the flavorful tomatillo sauce. It comes with tortilla and rice and beans. The only downside of the entire meal was that we waited way too long for the bill but that is easily fixed next time. Went in with a group of 15 at mothers recommendation and dropped right at $500. Service was good, food items were hit and miss, tableside guacamole one of the best. A little disappointed that when we asked for the manager Chris to say hello and my mother had known from a previous restaurant, and we were told he was to busy to come over because he was doing paperwork. I stopped in here on 12-27-2021 for lunch with a high school classmate. It came with a recommendation, and we were both up for the meal. The place was kind of busy and we were seated quickly. Our server was "Sarah." We ordered: chicken Tinga tacos and the steak salad, with a Coke and Coke Zero to drink. There were complimentary nacho chips and salsa. From the looks of our plates afterwards I would say that it was a success. My tacos were a bit salty but not too much as I like salt. My classmate's salad looked good too. After reading the review from another patron about the tableside guacamole, my husband and I decided to check it out. She's right, Jeremiah created THE best guacamole I think I've ever had! The pickled onions he added truly make the dish. Perfectly paired with the guacamole was my husband's beer and my Reposada margarita. We were set to have another round of drinks until Jeremiah told me about a martini he created for The Cantina. It's called The Empress Royale, which is similar to a lemon drop martini using a lavender infused vodka. Well say no more, I ordered one and savored every last sip. DELICIOUS! Made our reservations on OpenTable last week, and received all the expected communications from app that our reservation was confirmed, a reminder about reservation, etc. Upon arrival were told by hostess that restaurant no longer uses OpenTable. So our reservations were not valid. Put our names on one hour wait list and sat at the bar. Were then told that they only offered AYCE buffet bc it is Easter. I checked the restaurant website and didn't see that event listed anywhere. Very bummed, left and went to Harry's across the street. Before we left we did ask for the manager, and were told he was cooking in the kitchen (???). me and my husband wanted to have one last night out before we have our first child from a gift card we got from friends and I couldn't have had more of a terrible experience. We came here with our friends not too long ago and it was amazing! So we expected the same coming back. I ordered a mock tail but our server said the bar was busy so "maybe in a little bit" not very good art of language. We ordered nachos that took 30 minutes and came out cold. Our server said they put extra chicken on the nachos because it took long but there wasn't a lot of chicken... He took them back, and we waited for new ones to come out just for them to be cold as well. At that point I was ready to go, I ordered some tacos togo the la carte and they didn't even give me the rice and beans that are supposed to come with it so I basically paid 16 dollars for two tacos that had hard as rock shells that couldn't even be eaten. It's hard to believe this restaurant was only opened in December of 21. The food is full of flavor without excess. The portions are perfect and the display is appealing. The decor is unique and inviting. You can enjoy a quick hand held meal with a beer or you can grab a fork and knife to enjoy a delicious cut of meat paired with fine wines or spirits. It isn't lost on my family that since the pandemic staff is hard to come by and even harder to keep. So we went to the bar while we waited. We we saw four servers sitting with their feet up sitting their drinks im sure on their break. Last night was my first time at this restaurant. We were a party of five. We ordered our food and to our surprise only four of the meals came to our table. We were told that the fifth order couldn't be made because there was no more rice (we ordered a rice bowl). One of the meals brought to the table was incomplete for the same reason. We brought this to the attention of the manager who's "solution" to the problem was to "order pizza and take shots with him". He even had the audacity to continue to pressure my daughter into taking a shot with him after she declined. My sangria was the best I've had, but when my husband ordered it after tasting mine, his was horrible. (Different bartender maybe?) Food was great. No complaints at all there. Keto taco shells! Everything we've tried here is amazing. Even if you're not Keto try the shells, you'll never go back. It's a crispy cheese shell that is just amazing. The salsa is made from scratch and not the free stuff from a bottle that you get from the average Mexican restaurants. The service is very quick and friendly and the managers are right there to help in any way they can. Even though there are minor growing pains, the team looks like they love working together.
