My friend had this tonight & literally bit into a SCREW that was hidden inside of the enchilada & all they did is not make her pay for that particular dish she was not able to finish anyway! It was a party of 2 & La Fiesta still charged for the other meal & things. This is BAD BUSINESS! Having that experience they should have bent over backwards comping the 2 girls entire check & given them coupons for free meals in the future. Stopped in for lunch. 2 diners. Ate from the lunch menu. Ordered the cheese dip. Probably the best cheese dip around! Substantial and not thin and watery like some serve. Also had their spicy salsa- very flavorful. Enchiladas and fajitas quesadillas Plenty of food. Chicken in the quesadilla was well seasoned and plenty of it! Enchiladas were middle of the road. The food lacked seasoning on everything from the queso, gauc, salsa and steak. This was my first visit at this establishment. I'll be sure to give them another try but with this first impression, it was a miss. The service was good, the restaurant was clean but I was underwhelmed by the food presentation, taste and price. First, the salsa looked like spicy tomato soup. Im not used to having puréed salsa but the chips were good. I ordered an unsweetened iced tea with lime and received a sweet tea with lemon. Our party each ordered something different and the presentation just wasn't appetizing. I would rate the food quality comparable to Tijuana Taxi or Tijuana Flats and not necessarily authentic Mexican food unless this was a fusion type eatery. Although the artwork was definitely Mexican. I feel that it was overpriced for the quality and quantity of food. Don't let my review decide for you, visit La Fiesta and decide for yourself. read more

I really enjoyed this restaurant. From the food to the service, everything was very pleasing. Probably one of the better michiladas I've had. The tacos were good, the meat inside wasn't chewy so I felt they used quality meat. I do however, would have liked chopped fresh onions instead of grilled but it was still delicious. The esthetics of the place was really cool, a lot of really cool art work in there. Like I said the service was fantastic, all the staff were very friendly and consistent in coming around to see if anything was needed. read more

Use to love this place but yesterday we ate there and both the chips and salsa were no good. Use to be great. My wife ordered the whole fried Tilapia and it was evidently old and was so bad they took it back and she ordered another dish. My fajitas Rx was only fair while in the past was always great. Driving home from Georgia, there are not a lot of great restaurants in this area but La Fiesta was a great treat. Lots of tables and a nice bar, festive atmosphere and friendly waiter. The menu is extensive and the most authentic food I've seen in a long time. The food was great. It came out quick and was delicious. As I sit here at my table at the restaurant, I would love to give a higher score however, my food came out 30 mins ago and is completely wrong! I ordered a chicken burrito with cheese sauce and rice with cheese sauce. I got a beef burrito with cheese and rice no cheese. I sat waiting on a fork so long it got cold. My husbands food is yet to show up. I was asked if I wanted to change my order but I refused. Now, the drinks are great and that is the only stars I gave! This was my first time to La Fiesta, usually we frequent a Mexican joint closer to the house but this one was worth the extra 10min drive. The decor inside is bright and clean. It's a large space, we went early (about 4:30) so it wasn't crowded but people started filing in as we were leaving around 7pm. You can get mixed drinks and beer in multiple sizes and there is a decent variety of alcohol at the bar. Guacamole was well seasoned and the chips were nice and salty just like I like them! We got carne asada which was perfectly done. A little crispy on the outside but still tender and well seasoned. We also got the Sincronizada 'and old favorite'. It was basically a quesadilla with a mountain of pickled jalapeños on the side. We opted for chicken instead of beef. I would have liked it better if there was no meat, as the texture of pulled chicken is not my favorite but that is a personal preference. Flavor and cooking of item were spot on. I will def be back here instead of the closer joint next time I'm in Ocala! read more

The food is typical Mexican. The service is ok but they hardly speak English. Atmosphere is blah & typical. Their margaritas are horrible, straight sugar and sour mix, yuck! They charged us for a drink we sent back and when we told them to take it off, the server said his manager said NO. We asked him to get the manager who never showed up at the table but did void the check and recharge the right amount. I will NEVER be back and I definitely wouldn't recommend them. read more

We were in town for a horse show at The World equestrian Center. We enjoy Mexican food so we found this one. The food was delicious and the service was great. We stopped for dinner on June 27th . We The food was nasty, it was cold. There was our table of four another table of two and no servers around to be seen. They all were out front at the outside tables drinking soda. If we wanted anything we had to go out and get a the server ! I'm giving this 3 stars because the server, josue was a really nice person. I really wanted to like this place as We're from New Mexico and enjoy good mexican food and it's near our house. The food was not good. The chips were warm and good. The guac had no flavor, no kick, no lime and needed salt. The fajitas were burnt and over cooked and tough. The portions for the fajitas like the rice, refried beans, sour cream and guac were very small and not enough. The salsa tasted like tomato can with some onion. I try and support small businesses and for me this is a bad review. The atmosphere is nice but No bueno. I know it's harsh but calling balls and strikes. The Margaritas are delicious and not made from mix as one critic mentioned because I am very particular about my Margaritas. Also, I have been there a dozen times and always had great service and as the critic also mentioned, I like the fact that the wait help is authentic Mexican and I did not notice that their English was poor. Also, the decor is nice. Why is typical Mexican bad??? It is tasteful. The food is absolutely delicious and I am from California and used to good, authentic Mexican food. While this is not of that caliber, it is very good and I find no reason to complain. Many people do not know what good Mexican food is, just like some people think fast food Chinese is authentic too when it is everything but. But, since everyone is a critic, I suppose someone is going to rate this restaurant poorly , but i am glad that all the good reviews outweigh the bad ones.
