As someone who travels to Mexico frequently, I can honestly say this is some of the most authentic Mexican food I've found in Florida. Every bite was packed with incredible flavor, and the dishes tasted like they came straight from a family kitchen in Mexico. Jose was absolutely fantastic! He was friendly, attentive, and made our entire experience even more enjoyable with his excellent service and great recommendations. The atmosphere is just as impressive as the food. The beautiful, authentic Mexican décor makes you feel like you've stepped into a charming restaurant in Mexico, and the bar is absolutely stunning--one of the most beautiful I've ever seen. It's the perfect place to relax with an amazing margarita or tequila while soaking in the ambiance. If you're looking for authentic Mexican cuisine, outstanding service, and an unforgettable dining experience, this is the place. Stopped here while traveling through and really enjoyed it! The margarita menu had so many fun options, and I loved that they offer margarita flights so you can sample four flavors. My husband and I each ordered a different one so we could share. The salsa was fresh and delicious, and the fajitas were good. This was unexpectedly one of the best Mexican restaurants I have eaten at. We had 9 people and everyone loved their food and drinks. The portions are giant so you'll have plenty to take home. The staff was welcoming and sang a birthday song for our son. Six of us came and ate enjoyed it all! It's a Saturday around 7 and this little restaurant was filled! We were able to get seated quickly and the service was top notch! The food earned four stars but once you ad the amazing service it bumps it to a 5, after all the stars aren't just for food! We were served salsa and chips immediately. Guacamole was made right at our table. A little bit of an overkill on the lime but it was so fresh and yummy! We had enchiladas, chimichangas, birria tacos and the most yummy refried beans! We dug into our entrees so quick and devoured them that I forgot to take pics! I was feeling a bit under the weather so I did not have an alcoholic beverage but can't wait to go back and get one! A very good Mexican restaurant located in a strip mall location. Don't let the outside fool you, this is a pretty good place ! Although we came at a peak time, we were still greeted quickly and seated. They offer a full bar and the decor is very colorful and gets your attention. Our food came surprisingly quickly. The burritos are huge! Lots of your chosen protein. We actually came back and visited a week later and had another good experience. The only issue we had was a change in the menu on our second visit which was very condensed and removed all the descriptive information about the dishes making it diff to know what ingredients were in different dishes. This is probably not great as the server didn't actually fully know the ingredients. If someone had a sensitivity to an ingredient that could result in not so great of an experience. Overall I'd come back but they should reconsider the menu information provided to their customers. read more

My friend and I spotted and stopped in here for lunch, we space welcoming and vibrant as we entered. Our host sat us right away and we ordered our meals. While waiting they brought us some salsa, questions and chips along with our drinks , it didn't take long for our food to arrive and for us to drive into our succulent meals, he got a salad and I got lunch special, everything was great except for the salsa, in my opinion it tasted like marinara with a Lil bit added like green peppers, the wait staff was very attentive and helpful, and I will go again just might not get the salsa. read more

Great Mexican restaurant located in a strip mall in Dunnellon. It is way bigger on the inside than it appears to be on the outside. We were immediately sat on a Monday at lunchtime, and I was surprised at how busy it was the whole time we were there. The inside decorations are fantastic; every wall, booth, and chair is covered in cool Mexican designs and pictures. Complimentary chips and salsa were brought out, and we were convinced to get a spicy salsa combination they offer, with 3 more hotter salsas, and onions, which was really good. For my meal I had a chicken fajita taco bowl, and it was very flavorful. Lots of veggies, lots of chicken, and the bowl itself definitely seemed homemade. Service was excellent, with multiple people re-filling my beverage without me asking. One funny note: if you go to their website to look at their menu, a Chinese food menu comes up so you'll just have to trust me that they have a huge menu of Mexican food. The most impressive thing is how quickly and efficiently they served our large group of over 20 on a busy Sunday afternoon. The food was good, especially the refried beans and rice that came on the side. The kitchen forgot to give me my side of beans, but when I brought it up to the server, she came out with a full plate at no extra cost. My main entree (white enchiladas( was a little bland, but I spiced it up with the many different salsas that come with the complimentary warm tortilla chips. My only real complaint is the server asked if we wanted grilled chicken but did not mention there was an up charge for it. This is a really cute place in Dunnellon / Ocala area. Authentic very good Mexican food and the service was excellent. Jose was our server and the suggestions he made were awesome. We tried Riviera Maya for the first time and left thoroughly impressed. When we arrived, the restaurant looked packed, with several guests waiting for seating and online orders. The space was clean, smelled amazing, and the seating was both spacious and comfortable. There's also outdoor seating available if you prefer to dine al fresco. The food was outstanding and genuinely authentic. We dine at a variety of Latin restaurants, and Riviera Maya has officially earned a spot in our top three. It's been awhile since I've been able to say I've been to a 5-star Mexican restaurant. This place n Dunnellon beats out all the Mexican restaurants I have tried by my home near Tampa. When we entered, I was struck by the incredible multi-colored art & colorful furniture, pretty much covering every inch of real estate inside the restaurant. The workers were super pleasant & fun. I ordered the enchiladas verde dinner. It came with 4 enchiladas & avocado salad. The enchiladas were packed with delicious chicken in 2 of them, & shredded beef in the other 2. They were topped with a mild, tasty green sauce & cheese. I asked the waitress for a sample of some hotter sauces to add to the mild green sauce. She brought a couple other homemade red sauces to try & I mean to tell you they were excellent. The food was so plentiful, fresh, & tasty. Chips & salsa also arrived & I had the tastiest Mexican food I've had in a long time. Dunnellon is fortunate to have such a great restaurant. read more

Parking is a bit tough due to the design of the parking lot so drop any folks with mobility issues at the door before finding a spot as it may be a little far away. The staff were excellent - they worked as a team and we always had drinks and other needs. The table side guacamole was excellent and a fun thing to watch. I placed a to go order. The young lady who took my order over the phone was very pleasant as was the young lady who brought my order out to me. The ambiance in the restaurant is very nice. I ordered a Chili Relleno and a Fajita Cancun along with a side of guacamole and a side of White Cheese sauce. I ordered the Chili Relleno with the shredded chicken, that was a mistake on my part, I have always ordered it with Beef in the past and did not like it with chicken. As for the Fajita Cancun, I took a chance on this menu item and decided to give it a try. I was shocked when I saw it. the fajita is prepared on a side of a pineapple. it was hugh. I think it had shrimp, scallops and beef in it. I am sorry to say I did not enjoy anything that I bought. It was expensive and I ended up throwing almost the entire meal in the garbage. This place is AMAZING. My husband and I bought a vacation house in Dunnellon last year and we've slowly been working our way through the local restaurants when in town. This one has been on my list for a few months now and it truly lives up to the hype. First thing you notice when walking in is the beautiful, extravagant Mexican artwork covering the walls. Theres literally something cool and new everywhere you look. We were quickly seated in a nice booth and brought chips and salsa within the minute. My husband ordered sprite, I ordered a large white sangria, and a small piña colada type drink for my 2 year old who I knew would want a fancy drink once he saw mine. The sangria was a bit sweet for my taste , but it was still very tasty. My kiddo's drink was even better and it had real chunks of coconut in it We were starving, and my husband immediately put in an order for the guacamole and ceviche apps. The guac was delicious, a sizable portion, and they make it right in front of you.. Reminded me of the restaurants we went to in Cabo. The ceviche was also incredibly fresh, tasty and HUGEEE. My husband and I had already ordered our dinners at this point, and we looked at each other like, "oh crap, maybe we shouldn't have done that." I chose the steak, chicken and shrimp fajitas and my husband had one of the combos that had a little bit of everything.. I can't remember the exact name. He said his food was great I loved the few bites of mine I still had room for lol. We also got to enjoy two meals worth of leftovers the next day so it was a win-win in the end.
