I was very excited to eat here but got very disappointed. The place looks fancy but it's not fancy. The establishment tries to be fancy with appearance and price but it truly isn't. 1st red flag started with the fancy ipad menu, but three our of 6 didn't work, they were dirty and one cracked. 2nd. Our waiter was nice and friendly but forgot our water the first time and wasn't that attentive 3rd. The food was okay but not worth the price. The rice tasted as if it were leftovers and you can taste it as if it came from a microwave. 4th. Cheaply made cocktails. An old fashion with Walmart cherries, simple syrup and poor mixture. So cheap. The only thing that was delicious was the fried pork rinds and I guess it's because that is prepared to order!

First time at this restaurant and we are so satisfied with the food. Excellent service, Lorna was a very nice and kind person. She helped me to choose my plate and was sooo good. Nice place to eat with your family, nice atmosphere.

The quality of a restaurant to be considered involves more than just food. Many factors dictate whether or not the experience is enjoyable to the point of a return trip. Cleanliness, pleasantries, parking, etc, they all matter. Maybe it's unfair but, it matters. We visited Latinos Y Mas last night and I had a gut feeling that things were going to be alright. You know that owners and operators of an establishment care about what they are trying to do by the presentation of the staff. All had their uniforms on and were groomed and presentable and pleasant. Ok, we were there a bit early (5:30p) on a Saturday night (before the crowd) and so, I'm sure we got them before things got hectic. Had a table in 5 minutes, sat down and within a minute were chips and salsa on the table. Pleasant server took our drink order as we perused the menu (iPads mind you. No paper). The drinks looked and tasted great. A couple of mojitos and they didn't shy away from the booze! We had the carne asada and another steak dish with onions the name of which escapes me. Both tender and delicious. The wait staff was very attentive. Let me put it this way, I removed the paper wrapper from my straw that came with my water with lemon and balled it up and within about a minute our server came by and took the balled up paper from the table! Good thing for my wife as, I was just about to "field goal" flick that paper at her! Lol Very pleasant experience and good food. As we left, we saw the line of people waiting outside. Can't be bad if people will wait to get inside.

After reading several reviews we were a bit skeptical of giving this place a try. This restaurant was profiled in a magazine of great places to eat while in Ocala-couldn't be that bad right? We decided to try it out for lunch last Monday. First- the parking lot is very clean and lot of spaces. Once inside we were greeted by smiling welcoming faces and seated immediately. The menu is on an iPad type of device - no biggie. Our server took our order immediately and then brought us chips and salsa which were good. My husband ordered the Bandeja Paisa and I ordered the chicken breast fried (pollo empanizado). After living in south Florida for 50 years we are very familiar with this type of cuisine and I will tell you this restaurant held up nicely in comparison. Both of our dishes were fresh and delish. For dessert we ordered a flan which was good as well. We will return.

Wonderful food! Jaime was our helpful server extraordinaire tonight! He wished us Happy New Year in Spanish and English. Our orders were both taken and served expediently. We enjoyed the soft background music, the clean tables, and the electronic iPad menus! Have eaten here before and will return! 10/10

It looked good because they have very good marketing. The food was not authentic in the service was so so. Maybe we went on a busy day but service was really slow.

In town for a business event at the World Equestrian Center, and we stayed at the Equus Inn. In the mood for Mexican and we luckily stumbled uponthis spot. The service was stellar. The food was amazing. I had a Peruvian dish, which was tasty and delightful. Also had a side of guacamole. Margaritas were also right on point.

I love South American food and this hit the spot. I love how healthy and clean this meal is. The rice was fantastic with the plantains phenomenal and probably one of the best Carne Asada I have ever had! Absolutely amazing!

We were traveling through the area and found this place on Yelp. It sounded promising and we were pleasantly surprised with our experience. When we stopped in around 1:30 pm the restaurant was busy with a diverse local crowd. We were seated promptly and our server greeted us quickly. We looked over the extensive menu and made our selections. It was a little bit of a wait for our server to return. My husband ordered a Cuban Sandwich with black bean soup and I ordered the Mexican ceviche. The ceviche was wonderful. My husband really liked the black bean soup. The sandwich was good but was missing yellow mustard - in our opinion a necessary part of the Cuban sandwich. LOL We would definitely return as the food everyone around us ordered looked fantastic and they all seemed to enjoy it. After receiving our food. We never saw our server again. We ended up having the hostess get our check and we paid her. I think the service there is pretty good as all the other tables had very attentive servers. Maybe our guy was having an off day or was new.??

Since I had seafood already, I went with Cuban. The friendly guy at the counter took my order, which was a Cuban sandwich (10 dollars) and mango smoothie (5.50). My sandwich included a side, and I chose the potato salad. I was told there would be a small wait, but was handed the potato salad from the fridge. The potato salad was typical, but delicious with a nice amount of potatoes. The smoothie came before the Cuban sandwich. It almost tasted like mango lassi, but a bit more icy. It tasted natural and flavorful though. The sandwich came 5 minutes later, and it was quite hot in temperature. However, the flavors were missing. The bread was a bit bland, but it was soft. The pork looked to be pressed, but it tasted good. The ham tasted like regular supermarket quality. There weren't many pickles in my sandwich, but I was able to taste the mustard and melted cheese inside. I honestly ate the insides and left quite a bit of bread. There was no atmosphere other than the typical mall food court. There wasn't much of a crowd and the mall looks like it is dying. Even though I didn't care for the Cuban sandwich, the mango smoothie and potato salad was good. Thus, I will round up to 4 stars. Else, it would have been a 3.75 if decimals were allowed in ratings. I would visit and order again, but only the smoothie and it was natural and had various flavors at a reasonable price.

How dare they even call this Cuban food? From what kind of Cuban who sends a Cafe Con Leche with no sugar in it? In my entire life of eating Cuban food mostly in Miami and Key West I never had Cafe Con Leche without sugar! It was burnt tasting and awful - undrinkable. The Carne Guisada (Beef Stew) had no olives, capers or raisins in it - only potatoes, carrots and beef and had barely cooked so the meat was like an old shoe. It was unappetizing chunks of fatty, tough, sinewy meat, unpleasant and salty. Impossible to chew and swallow. The side dishes were an insult to Cubans everywhere - flavorless mojo with boiled yuca and red beans that were mostly watery bean juice and a few red beans. The pork tamale had no flavor and the meat was fatty pork that the cat had difficulty chewing with her fangs. Obviously all the good reviews on Google are fake or people in this ridiculous town have no clue what comprises real Cuban food. It was some of the worst food I've had in this burg and that's going some.

When we walked in, the place was quite busy with diners with most looking like they were enjoying their Cuban breakfast sandwich. My wife and I opted to order the Breakfast Combo #1, which came with eggs, choice of protein, hash browns, Cuban toast and a small cafe con leche. My wife went with sausage and I opted for bacon...this was after the lady behind the counter dissuaded me from ordering combo #2 (guess she's not a fan of the tomato sauce). We also ordered a couple of guava and cheese turnovers for a snack later. Breakfast was OK. Wished the eggs were fluffier but they were fine. The buttery Cuban toast was good and so were the cafe con leche...wished the coffee size was bigger. The biggest disappointment was the bacon, if you can call it that. When I first saw the bacon, I thought it looked odd...and my suspicions were confirmed when I bit into and tasted it. The texture was off and it had no flavor. Perhaps it was turkey bacon or vegetarian bacon, either way I wasn't informed that the bacon would be some weird facsimile of bacon. Surprised the lady behind the counter didn't try to convince me to change my choice of meat. We'll probably go back for breakfast but will definitely avoid ordering that strange bacon. Breakfast for 2 with the turnovers and tip cost just under $30.

We started with Carolina Tater Skins. Absolutely DELICIOUS! Potato skins with Roast Pork, cheese, bacon, green onions, topped with bbq sauce...cup of sour cream in the middle. Didn't last over 3 minutes for the two of us and there were 6 of them! They were THAT delicious. I ordered the Birria Tacos (3) with a side salad and my husband got the Cuban Clucker sandwich with a side of crinkle fries. We spoke to our waitress about how we had wanted to try their food for awhile now but just so happened to find ourselves about 1.3 miles from this location tonight and made the decision to try them tonight! She said they were best known for their wings and just how to get them. So we also ordered 10 wings done just that way. Our meals were brought not too long after we demolished our fabulous appetizer. Wow! Absolutely crazy good! I pounded the three Birria Tacos in record time, in between also demolishing my side salad. My husband said his fries were perfect and he's STILL working on that huge sandwich as I write this! Lol The chicken wings, while they looked delicious, once I tried one, there was a strange fishy taste that came across so strong on the wings that didn't have the sweet and spicy sauce on them, that I couldn't eat them. It actually made me gag. I just couldn't eat them. The waitress asked us how we liked them, so I explained what was wrong with them. She offered to have them remade but we declined. She told the manager to come speak to us about them. He was nice enough, but looked intimidated by us (a 61 and 62 yr old?) and kinda looked anywhere but at me when I was explaining what the problem was with the wings. He was said he'd investigate. Our waitress came back and asked if he spoke with us. I said he did. She asked what he said and I said he told us he'd investigate the problem. She asked us if he said he's take the wings off our bill and I said no. She said she'd take them off anyways because it was a whole 10 wings we didn't eat. I said, thanks but I'm not trying to get free food especially if she gets in trouble for doing that. She said but you didn't even eat them! I said she couldn't have paid ME to eat them! The taste was so gross I actually used a napkin to wipe the taste off my tongue! She laughed. We went ahead and ordered dessert to make up for the wings we sent back and then didn't want after all. The bourbon peach bread pudding turned out to be sold out, so we settled on beignet bites for him and Pecan Pie for myself. Both were EXCELLENT! WE will definitely be back to see our fantastic waitress Anna and to try more of their menu because they have some of the most delicious sounding entrees! All in all, we were impressed by the fantastic food (minus the fishy wings), but everything was fresh, delicious and very decently priced! Great place to bring the family because there's something for everyone here. Chicken tenders to burgers and all kinds of sandwiches, soups, salads, pasta...diversity without being outrageous. Great combos! Can't wait to try something else next visit! You know it was a great meal when your husband turns to you as you're walking to the car together and he says "thank you babe. That was really good!". 'Nuff said?

I also ordered the cheese grits, my boyfriend got a hamburger and fried and seemed to enjoy it. I wish we lived closer but will definitely looking forward to stopping here on a road trip.

I ordered the lechon asado which came with yellow rice, fried plantains and red beans. My wife tried their Midnite Cuban sandwich.
