Great spot for a romantic evening for two or a special occasion with friends. Looks our on the water in Palmetto Bluff and has stunning views. Great ambiance inside, made to feel like the luxurious inside of a canoe (hence the name). Came here with another couple and were seated out on the patio to watch the waterway and enjoy the great weather. Our server was amazing and has been with the restaurant for several years, and had a great understanding of the menu/specials/drinks/wine pairings. The dinner was expertly paced and everything was great. Only got pictures of our sushi appetizer but everything was perfect. Menu changes with the seasons/ chef interest so it is different but we got the red snapper, lambs chop, wagyu steak, oysters, and the sushi. No one had any complaints and we were not rushed when we finished our meals and stayed for another drink. Great experience for fine dining.

The portions here is way to small for what you pay for. And the flavors are just standard. The plate looks cute and all but I was starving afterwards. It's a great place for a romantic dinner for two.

Surprised the reviews aren't higher because we loved our NYE tasting menu at the Canoe club! The menu was designed as a surf and turf. There were 5 courses - fried oyster + fried chicken, clams and pork belly, filet + lobster, tuna + foie gras, scallop and Lamb, and a chocolate tart with an edible orchid flower. We loved all of the dishes and were surprised how large the servings were. When I say we can eat, we can EAT. And these servings were too much to finish on a tasting menu without over eating. I brought home most of my filet and lobster and we also brought home one of the chocolate tarts and tried the other in the restaurant. We had an IPA to cool off from our walk to the canoe club and then glasses of Sancerre with the meal. Our waiter was awesome and the bartender was entertaining as well. Definitely recommend!

This is the crab beignets that everybody die for

The Canoe club at Montage palmetto bluff is definitely a destination for you who loves fine dining. I stayed at the Montage for 3 nights and never been able to make a reservation. The concierge told me to just walk in and sit at the bar which was the right decision because you can order everything and you can meet the wonderful bartender "Paul" he is one of the most talented and skillful bartender. His drinks were absolutely amazing . I ordered the blood orange margarita with the salt rim, the May river royals and the chocolate decadence, absolutely the drinks you shouldn't missed. I suggest to sit at the bar and look how good Paul is . We had the Wagu steak and the Bass with bokchoy, absolutely marvelous. Don't even have to talk about the most famous crab beignets and the oyster which was absolutely nothing to compare. We really had a good time. I would say it was one of the best dinner of my life. If you visit Montage Palmetto Bluff, make sure you come to the Canoe Club restaurant, you will love it.

Best spicy margarita for miles. Great service and delicious food (the smoked salmon starter, gnocchi entre and scallops were standouts) but the inspired cocktails from Paul the bartender, are what keeps us coming back. His custom simple syrups are dynamic and his sophisticated flavor profiles are extremely dialed in (don't miss the easy-drinking bourbon "Lift" or his robust spicy marg). He "had a little fun" with a gin martini that left us speechless. He's the type of talent that makes a dining experience memorable. Thank you Paul!

Here is the menu, excuse the dim lighting.

Had a wonderful time with family at gorgeous Palmetto Bluff and Dined at this most perfect restaurant with excellent service. It was a nice experience and the evening was wonderful. Our waiter was so fantastic that I'm reluctant to give less stars the meal deserves. We've had professional top chef dishes and at these prices I expect the best, but our dishes were not.

We visited the Canoe Club to celebrate our anniversary. The staff was incredible and made a recommendation to try the Cobia dinner which was excellent. My husband had the gnocchi and added chicken to it. He said it was the best gnocchi he's had and I would have to agree.

I would stay away from the paella

Met an old friend of mine here for dinner. We made a reservation online with no issues. It…read moresurprisingly was not very busy which was good - we sat outside in the porch area with one other set of guests. There were more people inside, which had a nice fun vibe. The outside seating area was very nice and cozy. They had cute stringed lights set up, some fans for when it is hot, and heat flames - not sure if the flames were heaters or decor only, but my guess would be they actually work (we sat on the side closer to the building so not next to them, thankfully as I actually got a little hot). We had a nice young woman for our server who was very attentive and sweet. She answered our questions, specifically the difference between the "Tacos" and "Grilled Tacos" - for the record, it has nothing to do with the meat (like grilled chicken vs fried) and everything to do with the taco style - meaning corn or flour, and grilled like a panini or regular style. We had some drinks - margarita, sangria, and a moscow mule; all great! We ordered the cornbread for the table. It was a little different from your typical cornbread - it had jalapeños in it but wasn't too spicy and was more like grilled pieces than baked. And they were cut up into triangular shapes. Not as sweet as some other cornbreads and had like a chipotle dipping sauce. For our meals, we had the Trippy Taco bowl, mix and match regular tacos chicken and steak, and a burger. The entrees came out quickly, great presentation, and as expected. The tacos and burger came with fries (shoe-string) and they were quite delicious - and the salad had a nice amount of tortilla chip strips on top. It's an interesting mix of american and mexican, done tastefully. The menu had enough options without being too overwhelming.

Came here for the first time for late lunch. Menu was extensive with burgers and tacos. Opted for a…read morefish taco, shrimp taco, and side of rice. Was really good and would recommend this place again for a tasty and reasonable meal. Service was very pleasant.
