Bad tummy ache after eating the fried seafood platter. Only the fish tasted good. Everything else was old. Cole slaw was bad. Fries were cold and not edible. I didn't see any hush puppies. The key lime pie was not good. Huge disappointment. My meal was $50. I think the bar is a good place to hang out and get drinks but I would not try the food again. The service was good. Also, if you like Villanova, this is the place to be! I had to give it one star bc of the stomachache. Stabbing pain. I don't know if I should try urgent care. I'm def going to a pharmacy.

Let me just tell you that Tristan is a phenomenal server! He kept checking on us and was very attentive! The Owner, I think her name is Vicky, was also amazing! My husband had the steam pot and I had the blackened tacos. So good! Will go back!

Great small restaurant with delicious seafood and super nice staff! Full bar inside and a lovely lit outdoor seating area as well. The outdoor area was great to enjoy the mild weather here in December. Our server, Emily, was the sweetest thing. She recommended the she crab soup which was divine! The food was super yummy and you could tell the seafood was fresh too! Will definitely come back here next time I'm in the area!

Gale Warning - Myers Rum, citrus Rum, pineapple, orange, & lime juice. Pretty tasty!

The restaurant has a nice ambiance, especially for date nights, or to just hang with friends. It's laid back. The food tasted good and was freshly made and we didn't have to wait long. They delivered service with a smile, although the garlicky shrimp was a lot smaller than advised, for the price ($16) & for our appetites. My husband ended up ordering another entrée, the Seafood Dinner for $28, which included grouper and 2 sides (pictured). It was good.

The quality is fantastic, fall of the bone ribs and the brisket just pulls apart. It is some of the most tender brisket I have ever had. The bbq sauce is well balanced. I didn't love the other sauces we tried and the fried chicken was average. Everything else was superb. We fed 6 and did not touch two of the sides containers. The restaurant itself looks like a fun hang out. The garage bar is a cool design and looks great for drinks. Special shout out to the servers who helped us out. We are from Los Angeles and when we ordered through our toast account, it updated the time to Pacific. Thankfully they fired it right when I arrived and got me the meal with 30 min. The shell was actually the surprise standout -- fluffy, light, and crisp with great flavor. It's nothing like those typical taco salad shells that tend to be greasy or overly hard. This one tasted fresh and really elevated the whole salad. The brisket burnt ends chili was also excellent. It has a tomato-based chili flavor, so if that's your style of chili, this is definitely the one to order. It came with these cute little hard cornbread pieces that soften nicely once they sit in the chili. The chili also includes red kidney beans and had really great depth of flavor. My sister loved the barbecue ribs and french fries, which were a big hit. The smoked turkey was good as well, though it seemed to have a seasoning on it that was a little unexpected. I'm usually not a fan of mustard-based barbecue sauces, but this one was surprisingly tasty with a nice vinegary kick. The traditional barbecue sauce wasn't quite my favorite. Overall, a solid takeout experience. I'd definitely go back and try a few more things -- but the taco shell salad bowl and the chili were the clear standouts.

It doesn't feel corporate or manufactured at all. More like you've stumbled into somebody's lovingly chaotic backyard dinner party where the food just happens to be genuinely top-tier. The mismatched charm, handwritten feel, and warm atmosphere are part of what makes it so special. There's this brilliant contrast between the laid-back hole-in-the-wall vibe and the seriously refined cooking coming out of the kitchen. We started with the fried green tomatoes which were incredibly tender, fried perfectly, and drizzled with a lovely house-made ranch. The sweet house pickles alongside were such a good touch. We also each had a cup of she crab soup which was beautifully seasoned and packed with tonnes of crab morsels. For mains, we shared the shrimp and grits and completely understood why the recipe has won awards, including being recognised as the 3rd best in the world. The recipe is rooted in traditional Lowcountry cooking but elevated with layers of flavour that somehow still feel comforting and homemade. The grits were unbelievably creamy, and the shrimp and sausage were perfectly cooked with fantastic flavour throughout. We also split the seafood purloo with blackened grouper, and it was equally impressive. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted incredibly fresh without trying too hard to be fancy. What really made the experience though was the staff. Everyone went above and beyond. They took time to chat with us about the area, paced the courses perfectly so nothing felt rushed, and by the end we were leaving with handshakes feeling more like guests than customers. Places like this are getting harder to find. We'll absolutely be back and would recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Lowcountry food served by genuinely wonderful people.

It could definitely use one more piece. I ordered the Mexican corn and there was nothing Mexican about it. It was just canned corn that had been scorched a little with no seasoning at all. We both ordered non-alcoholic smoothies - he got pins colada and I got mango, and he ordered a club sandwich with onion rings and I ordered a chicken Caesar wrap with chips. We paid for our meal and sat at a table overlooking the pool area. It didn't take long for Debi to bring our food out to us. The portions were really large for a lunch, and the food tasted amazing. We got two ice cream cups from the freezer (creamy and refreshing) and some water to go. Debi asked us to come back, and we may get a chance to go back before we leave town. It's pricey - cost us almost $70.00 for two people - but the portions made it worth it.

We ordered grouper, flounder, fish and chips, peel n eat shrimp, calamari and pickles, and snow crab - all were enjoyed. My only problem with this place was that they offer the option to select specific seating when making a reservation and in our case did not follow through. Please do not offer this specific option if you are not willing to honor these reservations. We had wanted to sit up by the bar, music and cornhole area at a high top (per my reservation). As the hostess was leading us to our table I noticed we were heading to a low table at the complete opposite side of the bar, so I stopped her and informed her of our reservation request. I figured she may not have known. Seconds later a lady was in our face telling us in a rushed, rather aggressive manner that the table we were being seated at was the best they could do. No high tops were available. So no hello, may I help you from her. No, hello I am so sorry that we cannot honor your reservation. No empathy or professionalism whatsoever. I was not happy. Good communication is key to allow understanding. My problem wasn't so much the table, but with how the supervisor/manager spoke to us. To make things worse, once seated I went to the restroom and on my way back there was a high top for 6 (my reservation number) cleaned and ready to go. So there was a table available. First time at Fishcamp. Disappointing experience - at first. The waitress was so kind though she made up for a rough start.

Debbie and I stopped in about an hour before closing, not expecting much--just a quick bite. What we got instead was hands down one of the best seafood meals I've had in a long time. First off, we met the owner, Jim Scully--absolute legend. Friendly, genuine, and actually takes the time to sit and chat. You just don't see that anymore. Great conversation, great energy... set the tone right away. Now let's talk FOOD... * Fried oysters & shrimp - ridiculously good. Light, crispy, not greasy at all. You can tell everything is top quality. * Coleslaw - vinegar-based, shredded, and honestly reminded me of proper German kraut salad. Perfect balance with the seafood. * Soft shell crab... alright, this is where things got serious. "It was like a circus in my mouth... just an explosion of flavors." I'm not exaggerating. The texture was creamy, not oily, and the batter was just perfect. One of those bites where you just stop and look at each other like... yep, this is special. On top of that: * Everything is made with high-quality ingredients * Prices are very reasonable for what you're getting (honestly, some places charge double for worse) * BYOB (bring your own wine/beer = big win ) * Huge menu--seafood, ribs, BBQ, pulled pork, chicken, desserts... you name it Final verdict: (three thumbs up from Debbie & me) If you're in Hilton Head and even thinking about seafood--this is a hidden gem you don't want to miss.
