Cane Rosso in Dallas has a great family-friendly atmosphere and a warm, inviting vibe that makes it an easy place to relax. The authentic wood-fired pizza oven is a centerpiece of the restaurant, and the menu offers a wide variety of unique pizza options with creative flavors you don't find everywhere. Their meatball appetizer is solid, and the salads are surprisingly great-fresh, balanced, and definitely worth ordering. That said, the pizza itself is where things fall short for me. Despite the thin crust, it comes out wet, floppy, and lacking any real crispness. It's honestly the most floppy pizza I've ever had, and it tends to fall apart as you eat it, which takes away from the experience. The flavors are fine, but the texture really misses the mark. The good news is that Cane Rosso offers plenty of non-pizza options that help make up for it, and the atmosphere, service, and variety keep it from being a bad visit. But if you're coming strictly for great pizza, just be prepared: this style is soft, wet, and definitely not crisp. I give the pizza a 2. Earns an extra star for atmosphere and service and decent appetizers and good salads. If you're hungry for good or even decent pizza go somewhere else. **update** the $11 house salad is comically lacking. The wood-fired cheesy garlic bread ain't it either folks. See attached photos. Remarkably incompetent. I placed two orders online for delivery directly from their website, one was delivered the other one was not. Their drivers (they outsource their direct delivery to doordash) kept calling me that when they went to pick up, there was no order because they had given it away already. When I reached out to the restaurant to ask for the order to be either redelivered or canceled and refunded, their manager told me literallly that "they cannot give away free food", and that I should reach out to doordash for a refund. No matter how many times I told them I ordered directly from them (I have an order confirmation email from Cane Rosso), they did not listen nor care. Now I paid $55 for an order I never consumed. In other words, they stole my money and are unaccountable. Do I think they did it deliberately? No. I think they are just incredibly incompetent. Their staff doesn't fully understand how their system works, but most importantly they don't listen to guests nor care about providing service. Think about the emotional intelligence of a restaurant employee that receive a call from a guest who says they've not received the food, in that very moment the delivery driver is at the restaurant confirming that the order is not there, and their answer is "we don't give away free food". P.s. this is the first 1-star review I write in my life. I have a lot of patience for mistakes, much less for money being stolen. read more

Beautiful Restaurant with friendly staff and variety of food options. Our waiter was very energetic and fun and was knowledgeable about the food options. We did family style so we can try different food options such as two types of salads, three pizza's, and two type of pasta's. My favorite was the bolognese, the pizole corn pizza, and the Cesar salad. Also got to try their different drinks. My only complaint was that service was a bit slow but other than that everything else was great and would definitely be back. read more

Cane Rosso White Rock is one of my favorite restaurants in Lakewood. Le'Andra was wonderful and as always the pizza was yummy!

Stopped by for the first time with some friends on a weeknight. The customer service was great and the dine in seating was great. The honey bastard was absolutely amazing and a must have!! Probably the nicest bartender in Dallas and THE BEST Happy hour deal is tucked away at Cane Russo off Gaston and Tucker road. Giovani ("I've been hired at every Italian place I've ever applied to!") was efficient and funny as he expertly took care of the customers at the bar and the orders from the half dozen busy servers. Shout Out to manager Chip (wearing a ridiculous shirt with a hot dog pattern all over it) worked the room all night and checked in with Giovani regularly. These two guts had exuded energy and enthusiasm and my friends who'd never been to Cane Rosso couldn't believe how tasty the fresh oven baked pizza was and how inexpensive ($5!) the good house wine was. My friend and I visited Cane Rosso on an early afternoon Wednesday. As one would expect the place was very empty which was OK with us. It gave us a chance to take in the ambiance which is both comfortable and stylish. The interior is large with a separate room, I'm guessing, giving groups some privacy. Since the weather was perfect we chose to sit outside in the "courtyard " which features picnic tables and an elevated deck which adds interest and atmosphere. We felt comfortable and "at home". But all the atmosphere in the world is wasted if the food isn't good. The food was good. Very good. We shared a Caesar's Salad and the pizza of the month. The salad was fresh and tasty and included anchovies (which I could do without). The wood fired pizza was delicious topped with a light sauce, pesto, sausage, and a chili oil. A word about the crust. Our server gave us a heads up regarding it. It was a bit chewy and the texture seemed softer. More bread like. My friend had water. I opted for the Roller Town Big German Kolsch which was the right choice for me. Our server went over and above. He explained the particulars of their process, was friendly and was timely in bringing food and refills. This Cane Rosso is a little bit different to find. It's located on the upper level of the shopping center at the Gaston, Garland, (East) Grand intersection. Turn at the light and go up the hill. It's a but of a chore to find it the first time. We hadn't been to Cane Rosso in a couple years and it has definitely changed over the years. The place was pretty empty when we came in and It took a little while for anyone to sit us and even longer for our server to come up, she was attentive at first but as time went on she couldn't be found. We got our usual brussel sprouts which were amazing as always, an Ella pizza and the chicken Alfredo. The pasta as homemade but the sauce was strangely sweet? Not for us but my toddler loved it. My family and I came here after going to the zoo and looking at lights. I'm really glad I was able to make a reservation. They got a seated pretty quickly. We ordered the cherry and burrata for the appetizers and it was excellent. I loved it! My dad ordered their hot dog which was hilariously huge but he said it was great. The other four of us ordered two pizzas that are half and half. The Taste was really good but I wish the crust was a little crispier. I didn't really enjoy having to use a fork because every time I picked it up all the toppings fell off. The thin crust is great, I just wish it wasn't all goofy underneath the toppings. I've always been a big fan of Cane Rosso, and this location is no different. The pizza is absolutely delicious--we tried the Billy Ray Valentine pizza, and it was superb, particularly the smoked bacon on top. And the restaurant is very family friendly--they had stacks of high chairs near the door, and the kids menu offered a smaller (but still big, I think) pizza for a reasonable price ($7). Stopped by this Cane Rosso location for the first time last weekend to meet up with a couple of friends for brunch and we had a great time! It was my first time trying the brunch offerings at Cane Rosso as well and they do a great job melding brunch foods with pizza. The three of us split the Bodega and the Bacon Jamz and it was the perfect amount of food with a bit left over to take home. I really liked the everything bagel crust on the Bodega pizza, though it did get a bit burned on one side. Loved the inclusion of spinach artichoke dip as well. The Bacon Jamz also had great flavor and texture, though I was surprised at the Canadian bacon used (much more hammy texture) and would probably have preferred crisp bacon. The three of us also split a carafe of mimosas and there was a great amount, enough for each person to get one refill. The location wasn't super busy for noon on a Saturday, and service was great. Looking forward to my next Cane Rosso visit in the metroplex - this location is a winner! read more

I'm not sure if there's much more I can add to the accolades of Cane Rosso. Neapolitan pizza is my favorite food, and Cane Rosso is one of my favorites spots for it in Dallas. Though a little pricey, this restaurant is worth the occasional splurge. During this visit, I shared a plate of rosemary tater tots and fried mozzarella balls with my table. The tater tots are what you expect (the ranch was surprisingly delicious though), as well as the fried mozzarella balls. The pizza was an absolute 10/10. I shared a Honey Bastard pizza with a friend and it was delicious. The mixture of sweet and spicy flavors was so good- I highly recommend it! The service at my visit was very good. We had a large party, and they were happy to accommodate us. When it came time to splitting our bill, they were even willing to split mine and my friend's pizza onto two separate bills.
