She was disappointed that the soft shell crab sandwich was not on the menu. I reminded him that is a seasonal item. He settled for the Buffalo Calamari sandwich. There was too much Buffalo and Blue Cheese for his liking. The roll was perfectly toasty on the outside and soft on the inside. The calamari was cooked well, with a light crispy crust. It could have used a small side salad. I ordered the Ahi Poke with rice. You have the option to add avocado for and additional charge. It was very fresh and well marinated. I should have ordered it with wonton chips. Both meals were generous portions, I took my left overs home he didn't. Service could have been better. My meal was dropped off first. So we had to wait a bit longer for his to eat together. There was water sitting under the utensil holder so the server wiped that up with a napkin. We sat on the back patio to get some air. No one checked on us after food was dropped off. We had to go inside to get a ToGo container. While I appreciate that it's a seafood market + restaurant, I think service and quality used to be better overall.

There were only a couple of times available when I made them on a Monday for the following Friday so I chose the 5 pm over 8:45 pm to give us a chance to enjoy the view before sunset. I started with the lobster bisque while the rest of the table snacked on artichoke fritters. The bisque was perfectly creamy and delicious. For my entree, I chose the fish and chips and loved that it came with hush puppies as well. My vegetarian husband had a few options for non-seafood/meat here and ended up choosing the Mediterranean bowl with roasted broccolini, eggplant, butternut squash, roasted tomatoes, black lentils, fresno chiles, pistachios, fresh herbs, lemon-tahini dressing, red pepper tofu mousse, crispy chick peas. We were celebrating our recent engagement with my fiance's family so we received a complimentary slice of cake as well.

The server was really nice (sorry I didn't get his name) but I was impressed with how many times he checked in to make sure we were enjoying our meal!! So we went to the bar where it was full and waited 5 minutes for a table to open up. We ordered the lemon pepper shrimp appetizer, michelada, and Maui draft. The michelada was delicious. For dinner we had the sushi tower, panko fish taco and the cod fish and chips. The lemon pepper fried shrimp never made it out. The sushi tower had wonton chips and a red, green sauce on the side with pickled ginger and wasabi. My order of fish and chips was slightly disappointing. This was a cheat meal for us so the fries were cold and hard. Note to kitchen: don't serve cold, hard French fries. The cod came in 3 pieces and had a nice tartar sauce. The fish taco was huge but it was dry and needed either more sauce or lemon. There have been 2 times where they were already out of the poke nachos & spam, which was tragic lol. The type of fish depends on the day, but our favorites are usually the tuna & salmon. That's because I don't like salmon. I was hoping to get a drizzle of soy, vinegar, honey combo sauce or even a creamy spicy mayo sauce. But I don't remember them offering and of course I would have said yes. The fish chunks with salad were just dry to me and luckily I had a couple of packs of soy sauce back in my room. Then we had the Tartufona and I think that's my absolute favorite pasta! We also had Arrabbiatissima and it was a little spicy but it was good. I definitely prefer the Tartufona better though. We also tried the octopus and everything they had on the plate just works SO WELL together. We almost licked the plate clean!! I normally don't like a lot of seafood but I loved this appetizer. For dessert we had tiramisu and they brought up the ladyfingers separately and poured espresso and other stuff on it in front of us so the ladyfingers dun get too soggy. I'm usually not a sweets person but I loved this too. First time trying tor Italian soda. They said blood orange one is the best but it was so out so we tried lime. I liked it. I love a Spanish octopus dish so I couldn't pass this one up, AND I don't recommend you do either! It was exceptional. I think romesco and pulpo are a match made in heaven. Please try it. Couldn't pick between the pastas so I ended up with both the bolognese and funghi options, the bolognese being my favorite. The pasta was cooked beautifully. I did love the rich umami of the mushrooms, but if anything it may have been a bit too much on the rich side. The portions are truly massive so any of their pasta dishes can function as several meals. Not featured in the pictures is their tiramisu which was a reason to go all by itself. The restaurant was a bit warm during the heat wave but still pleasant. the vibes were comfortable, colorful, and welcoming Overall a really great experience and I'll certainly be back next time I'm in town
