We enjoyed this Solar run brewery!!! The fish and chips were amazing, huge! And delicious!!!! The view is fabulous, the weather in mid-September was warm and friendly! We sat at the bar and really enjoyed our servers!!! They took time to chat, to meet us, to tell us something about themselves!!! read more

This place is great! Great decor. Awesome choices of food that came out quickly. The waitress, Analia, was very kind to help us understand the menu and what's available. I highly recommend. read more

Very convenient location to the walking path, the lake and shopping. Good selection of food and it was tasty! Service was ok, had to ask for things (sat with empty glasses a couple times) and felt like we had to waive down our waitress to get attention. No anticipation of our needs on her part. Prices were fair for a touristy place. Would stop again if in the area. read more

First night here in Duluth and we needed simple and good food! The atmosphere is your normal brewing company with plenty of conversations loudly buzzing throughout the restaurant, bar semi filled with out of towners (dead give away when they are all rocking Moorehead Hockey gear) and upbeat moving staff. We settled in two sodas and cheese curds to kick off our evening. They were good and we liked them but beer batter ...in a brewery...would make them even better. Plus cheese curds are cheese curds. Main courses ummmm if you get a chance or need some comfort food get the stuffed meatloaf. It's almost like a meatloaf stuffed sausage. Fricken AMAZING! I got the Lobster Shrimp Salad sandwich. The salad was reallllllly good only fall was the toast it came on...not the right combo. Maybe lightly toast and something smaller. I'd love to meet the person that can fit this monster in their mouth. Our server was a joy, even though Nate (my better half) was a little hangry, she still rocked it!!! How highly recommend hitting this place when your in town. Next time the fish is going to be ordered. I watched it pass me by about 5 times sooooo means it's gotta be good. read more

Great beers - refreshing, clean tasting, and flavorful. I got the strawberry lager. We also had the pretzels, beer cheese soup, nachos with chicken, and split whitefish blt sandwiches. The fried version was delish. It was a super busy Friday night but we got sat quickly and service was great! read more

We came on a Thursday night, mom dad and two kids. It was super busy but we were seated in 10 minutes. Covid times calls for Covid expectations. The dark ale was out and so was all fish options... that's 3 out of 5 entrees. Lil kid ate two hot dogs and fries. Big kid didn't like the tenders.../ a little overdone. Nachos were delish and the burger was amazing.... Perfectly cooked egg. We got one of the pale ales, really good, very much like a Sam Adams. Service was great as it was so busy and likely short staffed. I would come back again! read more

Liked the menu. Lots of families/kids on a Saturday. Bloody Mary was delicious. Wings and tacos were good!

The shore lunch was fantastic as well as the beer. The outside dining added to the experience as it is very nicely arranged. Our service was also fantastic. Nothing to complain about. read more

Was in town for a funeral and we needed a group table for 12. Centrally located on Canal Street its a prime location in Duluth and their is ample seating. Has lettuce wraps and pretzel appetizers with a flight of beers made on the premise. Daily offerings are on the chalkboards above your head and they have canned beer to go which is a bonus. The party swelled from 12 to 25 and our server was incredibly gracious and chill as family was arriving for the service the following day. Our group samples the sliders (add bacon) the mango habanero burger, tacos, a couple of the salads and the walleye. The food was really good, the place has a good vibe and besides a couple of rougher locals it was a great night for all. No one wants their kids hearing inappropriate stories from Duluth's finest but when in Duluth :) Awesome eatery we will be back read more

We were in town from Los Angeles for the weekend for a wedding & popped into Canal Park Brewing for lunch & it was fantastic! Cheeseburger & cheese curds for the win! read more

Amazing food, amazing wait staff, amazing gift shop. The -1 star comes from the brews-- I wasn't impressed. I like sours and IPAs most and found the flight of four of these to be ~meh~ aside from the peach sour which was a Georgia version of mango cart (lip smack chef's kiss). Their blood Mary was a 10/10 for aesthetics but when it came to the sweet nectar itself I was largely underwhelmed. read more

Out-of-Towner review here! My cousin and I were exploring and she wanted to check this place out based on the reviews, and let me tell you-- the reviews are right! Canal Park Brewing is completely worth it! I had the pear hard cider which is by far my new favorite of the hard cider options. We also tried the pretzels, hot wings, a sandwich and a salad. All delicious! (I wish I had tried the soup with popcorn on it after I saw it get delivered to another table). read more

First visit, nice experience - 4 stars! Canal Park Brewing Company has good food, a wide variety of beer flavors, and great service. They offer canned beer (and Minnesota soda in glass bottles) to-go in a cooler by the entrance. And there's a big merch store on the right, also by the front door. The space itself is spacious and modern with an industrial vibe. They have plenty of parking. Thumbs up! - Maxx read more

Very delicious food, no matter what you get on the menu. Service is really good too. Wish our server would have mentioned that sides of sauce were extra but that was just a small detail. The views are impeccable too. Every time we come to Duluth, this is our favorite spot. read more

I came to Canal Park for a post-snowtubing adventure on a super chilly weekend and this place was packed! We waited about 30 minutes for our table. The waitress was super sweet and friendly. I like their drink menu, they tell a story of each of the beers/ciders. Our food came out pretty quickly. I ordered the Northcoaster burger and it was pretty solid! They also have Top the Tater which is sooo good with their potato chips and even the fries! It's also so close to the water, you can just walk out and see a gorgeous view! read more

Fantastic location. Kids didn't mind the 30 min wait because of the rocks to climb and the beach isn't far away. Great outdoor patio that was dog friendly. The food was just okay. Kids Mac and cheese was good but the quesadilla was pretty cooked. Husband and I had burgers and mine was average and his was less than average. Didn't care for the beer cheese soup either. Service was pretty slow, but friendly. With all the restaurants in the area I probably wouldn't go back read more

Great experience! Thanks to our server Kelly and the rest of a well organized bunch of team players at this establishment you impressed me. I need to admit that I actually heard a chef shouting (as chefs apparently do) at his severs to get the food out quickly to their tables...while we waited to be seated...and I was a bit concerned but guess what? I think maybe he may actually be doing HIS job and producing some amazing food for this place! Breweries aren't always known for their menus or a full bar...so bonus! 5 of us had lunch and 5 of us totally loved our meals, beverages and experience today at the Brewing Co. No doubt-hit this place up when you come to Duluth. read more

Canal Park Brewing just wasn't the same as my first visit. It's overpriced for the portion sizes and service was slow. Although the food was tasty, their were some downfalls. I ordered the turkey club, which was tasty, with chips. $14 for the sandwich and a fistful of chips. My friend got chicken nachos. The plate was so small and the toppings were skimpy. We also ordered bloody Mary's, which were flavorful and had nice garnishes, but there were so many black peppercorns in the mix that with every sip you got a mouthful of peppercorns. We had a plate dedicated to the peppercorns we had to spit out. Yuck. That will probably be my last visit to Canal Park Brewing for awhile. Maybe once the patio is open and they have their Bloody Mary bar back (with some peppercorn-less mix) I will return. read more

Super nice folks working here, nice beer (only 4 to choose from which rotates) and a great location to enjoy the outside or inside if you want . Now the problem.....the food, the special Hamburger Tidehaus is nothing more than a 6 oz burger with fried onions and A1 steak sauce on it, (anything else is extra tomato's lettuce etc...) served with a few thinly sliced fry's. The Fish and Chips is a 4-5inch piece of fish served in 12 inches of breading. No one at my table completed their food due to the lack of taste and or the greasy texture. So, come for the outdoors and the simply wonderful service, but look to eat else wear. read more

I really love this restaurant in Duluth. It is definitely a staple restaurant in Canal park. I arrived there a little later, so I got to try the pizza from the late night menu and then I ordered a beer flight. The stony IPA was so refreshing and the sausage and pepperoni pizza on gluten-free and cauliflower crust was actually really good. I also paired the pizza with a side of ranch and it tasted phenomenal. There is tons of indoor seating at this establishment and in the summer it is very open with lots of outdoor seating. I highly recommend the spot if you're looking for a nice local beer and easy casual meal. read more

We came here for dinner on our first night in Duluth, Minnesota, choosing because of its proximity to our hotel and the Lakewalk. It was crowded, so we had to put in our name and wait a little bit before we got our table. The place isn't too big and the acoustics aren't great, but it has a nice location on Lake Superior. I had the sweet-and-spicy chicken wrap which was pretty good. Dessert was some sort of custard concoction topped with some kind of berry. It was... interesting to say the very least. The service was good, which is a plus. Overall, fairly decent, I'll give it one thumbs up. read more

Great brewery with a great variety of apps and food! We actually went twice when we were in Duluth because we enjoyed it so much. I had both the Dos Puertos Mexican lager and Clear Waters Cream ale and both were great. The honey sriracha wings were also yummy- hint of spice and not too sweet. Fish and chips were perfect with the lakeside view, and nachos came in large portions. The cheesecurds came with a chipotle ranch which I wasn't a fan of (the ranch was watery), but overall a great spot with a lot of patio seating. They also had mobile menus for you to view and you can order inside but the food is brought to you outside. read more

Can be tough to get a table because it's so popular. Great food, great drinks, great beer list. Any wait to get in is worth it.

Our server Natalie was wonderful. She was patient while we decided what to eat and drink. She was attentive without being overly intrusive. She had a great smile and friendly demeanor. This spot was a great way to end our vacation on the south shore. We wanted a final whitefish experience before we turned south to Missouri. This was just what we needed. The fish & chips reminded my wife of her time in London, said if it had been wrapped in a newspaper she said she may not have been able to tell a difference (hint, hint CPB!). I had the WBLT, and, Oh. My. Gosh. Whitefish, bacon, lettuce, & tomato, yum. I went with broiled fish, and almost ordered one to go with fried fish. But, alas, we will just have to head up nort' again in the future. Now, the beet. the strawberry ale was amazeballs. I bought a crowler that traveled home. Just sitting in my fridge, taunting me, calling me to get some fried fish and kick back. Tell you folks I says hi! read more

Ugh. AVOID. Sad and mediocre at best. You can do way better in Duluth. We went and ordered takeout and shared a flight while we waited for our food. We intended to choose a crowler to bring home, but none of the beers were anything to write home about. Nothing was offensive, just kind of meh. The Dunkel was best of the 4, but not good enough to take home. The food was a different story- nearly everything was offensive. We were pleased they offered Beyond Burgers, but my husband said it was prepared very blandly and soggy. The fries were the only thing that were OK. The fish tacos were HORRIBLE! I am someone who lives for fish tacos, and these were so terrible I ended up picking the fish out and throwing the rest away. And even the fish tasted like frozen fish sticks. The tortillas were tough and hard, like they'd been microwaved. And there was old, dried out, plain white rice in the bottom of the taco, under a layer of spicy coleslaw which left me hoping I don't get food poisoning. I would definitely not recommend eating here, and there are so many great breweries that there's no reason to go for the beer, either. The $$$ price tag only added insult to injury. read more
