I neither noticed this Winners, nor the SportChek next door. This store is one of the better ones. For those in Whitby, be proud of it for a few reasons. First, I am a huge fan of Kipling handbags. This store goes one step beyond my usual level of happiness at Winners by offering a pink Kipling backpack. It is a rare find. The second point sealed my love for this store. It offers USB type C cables, which is incredible. It is a first for me! You typically get micro USB and lightning cables in ample supply. Yes, I have to be so different with a phone that only uses USB type C. You get a decent variety of two different brands. Both USB type C cables are six feet in length and go for $7.99. Perfect! I love the selection of items, from limited edition Simpson Tic Tacs in both donut and bubble gum flavours, to Popcornopolis popcorn. I don't see any of these fine products at my local Winners. The selection of size 11 women's shoes in decent. I nearly bought a pair of Keds sneakers, but decided that I didn't love them desperately enough to purchase them. The cashier was super sweet. I ended up getting the logo in navy blue and white. Not exciting! My friend and I hit the women's shoe section. She found a cute, glittery pair of boots that fit her perfectly! She found them to be comfortable, even though she wouldn't be caught dead going on a date with them on. I feel that she is my lucky charm whenever we go to a Winners together. I found a fun pair of Tretorns in a size 11. They were patterned and they fit more comfortably than I recall. The footbed is far better than it used to be. I bought them without hesitation. This store is clean, bright, and decent, including the washrooms. The woman who helped me cash out was cheerful and upbeat.There wasn't a huge lineup on a Saturday afternoon. Back in November, I brought my vehicle in to swap from summer to winter tires, and asked them to patch a flat summer tire during the switch $60. I assumed this was done properly. Fast forward to July, I have my summer tires reinstalled, only to find my tire still has a flat. Clearly, it was never patched correctly--if at all. Instead of owning the mistake, they charged me again for another patch, bringing my total to over $100 for one unresolved flat. To make matters worse, Mike (the manager) was completely unhelpful, offering no accountability or explanation, and Andre seemed totally clueless about what was going on. Not sure Andre would even know how to tie his own shoes if someone asked him to. The whole experience felt like dealing with amateurs. I expected better from a national chain like Canadian Tire. I won't be trusting them with my vehicle again--and I'd strongly recommend others think twice before doing so.

If you're patient enough, you can probably find a great deal on something. Most of the items are heavily discounted and the amount of savings is prominently displayed on each of the item's tags. In general, the prices are a little bit higher than what you find at Winner's but the quality of the items is better. I was able to find a cute faux leather jacket for $60 without too much time spent in the store. Mission accomplished!

The wait to get a free room was about seven minutes today, but the fitting rooms are clean and bright. The lineup to pay was equally as long. I figured out why it was so busy on Saturday when the cashier asked whether I had an e-mail coupon. I subscribe to Gap e-mails and had to look for it on my phone. I found it.
