I neither noticed this Winners, nor the SportChek next door. This store is one of the better ones. For those in Whitby, be proud of it for a few reasons. First, I am a huge fan of Kipling handbags. This store goes one step beyond my usual level of happiness at Winners by offering a pink Kipling backpack. It is a rare find. The second point sealed my love for this store. It offers USB type C cables, which is incredible. It is a first for me! You typically get micro USB and lightning cables in ample supply. Yes, I have to be so different with a phone that only uses USB type C. You get a decent variety of two different brands. Both USB type C cables are six feet in length and go for $7.99. Perfect! I love the selection of items, from limited edition Simpson Tic Tacs in both donut and bubble gum flavours, to Popcornopolis popcorn. I don't see any of these fine products at my local Winners. The selection of size 11 women's shoes in decent. I nearly bought a pair of Keds sneakers, but decided that I didn't love them desperately enough to purchase them. The cashier was super sweet. I ended up getting the logo in navy blue and white. Not exciting! My friend and I hit the women's shoe section. She found a cute, glittery pair of boots that fit her perfectly! She found them to be comfortable, even though she wouldn't be caught dead going on a date with them on. I feel that she is my lucky charm whenever we go to a Winners together. I found a fun pair of Tretorns in a size 11. They were patterned and they fit more comfortably than I recall. The footbed is far better than it used to be. I bought them without hesitation. There are a wide variety of goods being offered, and the prices are often even cheaper than Dollarama (though some stuff is kinda overpriced in comparison, like $30 kitchen shelves?) so I guess they win some lose some. I found some really good deals for plates, kitchenware, hair accessories, stationary, and foam rollers. Since the place is so big, it's hard to find a worker, and even if you find someone, they likely will not know the answer. It's okay though... explore away!

The wait to get a free room was about seven minutes today, but the fitting rooms are clean and bright. The lineup to pay was equally as long. I figured out why it was so busy on Saturday when the cashier asked whether I had an e-mail coupon. I subscribe to Gap e-mails and had to look for it on my phone. I found it. I got 50% off my entire purchase, so I only paid $17 with tax. Wow! Needless to say, I was a happy camper. It's not every day that you can get a hoodie for $6 before taxes. (183)

I prefer Winners more because the women's size 11 shoe section is much better than Marshalls. I was pleased to see a size 10 and 11 section. The problem? I didn't find a single pair of size 11 shoes. It's the main reason why I am not a regular at any Marshalls store. It is rare to find footwear in my size unless I dip into the men's section. I do continue to check Marshalls out, including this one. I spotted two Kipling bags at this store. One had the signature monkey. The other one didn't. Both were $59. The women's clothing section was tiny. I liked a sweatshirt with cherries. I also loved a sweater that had LOVE on it. The cosmetics section was great. Nail care was slim pickings. The setup at this store is interesting. The checkout counter is at the very back of the store. The fitting room is on the right when you walk into the store. The men's section was practically non-existent. So weird. I'm happy that I dropped by. I didn't pick up anything, but at least I know that this store exists. (52)
